  • Called on the State of Massachusetts to pray that . . .”all nations may know and be obedient to that grace and truth which came by Jesus Christ.”39. — Caleb Strong (Delegate to the Constitutional Convention; Ratifier of the Constitution; US Senator; Governor of Massachusetts)

  • Called on the State of Massachusetts to pray that . . .”with one heart and voice we may prostrate ourselves at the throne of heavenly grace and present to our Great Benefactor sincere and unfeigned thanks for His infinite goodness and mercy towards us from our birth to the present moment for having above all things illuminated us by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, presenting to our view the happy prospect of a blessed immortality.(11) And for our unparalleled ingratitude to that Adorable Being Who has seated us in a land irradiated by the cheering beams of the Gospel of Jesus Christ . . . let us fall prostrate before offended Deity, confess sincerely and penitently our manifold sins and our unworthiness of the least of His Divine favors, fervently implore His pardon through the merits of our mediator.(12) And deeply impressed with a scene of our unparalleled ingratitude, let us contemplate the blessings which have flowed from the unlimited grave and favor of offended Deity, that we are still permitted to enjoy the first of Heaven’s blessings: the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” (13) — Elbridge Gerry (Signer of the Declaration of Independence; member of the Constitutional Convention; Framer of the Bill of Rights; Governor of Massachusetts; Vice President of the United States)

  • DID THESE PRAYERS VIOLATE THE CONSTITUTION???

Called on the State of Massachusetts to pray that . . .”the peaceful and glorious reign of our Divine Redeemer may be known and enjoyed throughout the whole family of mankind (3)….that we may with one heart and voice humbly implore His gracious and free pardon through Jesus Christ, supplicating His Divine aid. . . [and] above all to cause the religion of Jesus Christ, in its true spirit, to spread far and wide till the whole earth shall be filled with His glory (4)….with true contrition of heart to confess their sins to God and implore forgiveness through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ our Savior.”(5) — Samual Adams (Signer of the Declaration of Independence; Father of the American Revolution; Ratifier of the US Constitution; Governor of Massachusetts)

Called on the people of New Hampshire . . . “to confess before God their aggravated transgressions and to implore His pardon and forgiveness through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ . . . [t]hat the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ may be made known to all nations, pure and undefiled religion universally prevail, and the earth be fill with the glory of the Lord.”6 — Josiah Bartlett (Miliary Officer; Singer of the Declaration of Independence; Judge; Governor of New Hampshire)

  • The Myth of the Myth of Persecution
    http://seeingthesword.com/2013/02/26/the-myth-of-the-myth-of-persecution/

Since the Blaze is too inept to post a counter argument in their articles, I will, from Seeing the Sword.

  • Tyranny is not something that just pops up out of nowhere! It is a mood that is fed and grows over time. It infects and it spreads until finally it makes itself known. This IRS witch hunt is not surprising. It is the result of a mood that’s been growing in America, fueled by the media and anti-American liberals in politics and education.

Why are we suddenly surprised that their words and actions have finally come to fruition? Only a FOOL ignores the signs that have been there all along.

  • FIRST, where is she getting the idea that Christians were “constantly persecuted”? Define “constantly”! Was that EVERYDAY? Once a week? Once a month? Once a year? What?

SECOND, which accounts is she claiming are UNTRUE? And upon what authority is she making this claim?

THIRD, her distinction between persecution and prosecution is laughable! When a person is imprisoned for disobeying the law that outlaws Christianity, then THAT is “prosecution” not “persecution”?????

THIS IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS NONSENSE I’ve ever heard!

So, a friggin government can’t persecute you through prosecution simply because you’re a Christian??? HOGWASH! Apparently this genius hasn’t studied the former Soviet Union much!

What makes her an “expert”? She wrote a book? She’s an atheistic Catholic so that makes her specially impartial???

Let me tell you something folks, there are more godless people in seminaries and religious institutions all over America than there are outside of them.

Give it time, there will be a book published debunking every one of this woman’s claims. THERE ALWAYS IS. The problem is that you’ll never read about it in the news. Because the media has an agenda to try and prop up those who think they are discrediting Christianity with some “new” revelation heretofore uncovered. They’ll never offer a counterargument. WHY? because the media are a bunch of gutless wonders. ALL OF THEM!

We live in an age of imbecility led by university professor

  • Incredible video images of some incredible warriors.

Could do without the science fiction BS commentary from the hosts.

  • “Trust me”???

It’s BILL CLINTON! TRUST is the LAST thing you should do! What the heck does this worthless disgrace of a president know about personal firearms protection?

  • Activist Donna Minkowitz says:

“We [g a y and l e s b i a n activists] have been on the defensive too long. It’s time to affirm that the Right is correct in some of its pronouncements about our movement. Pat Buchanan said there was a “cultural war” going on “for the soul of America” and that g a y and l e s b i a n rights were the principal battleground. He was right. Similarly, [h o m o]‘phobes like Pat Robertson are right when they say that we threaten the family, male domination, and the Calvinist ethic of work and grimness that has paralyzed most Americans’ search for pleasure.

Indeed, instead of proclaiming our innocuousness, we ought to advertise our potential to change straight society in radical, beneficial ways. Het[ero s e x u a l]s have much to learn from us: first and foremost, the fact that pleasure is possible (and desirable) beyond the sanction of the state. Another fact gleaned from g a y experience-that gender is for all intents and purposes a fiction-also has the potential to revolutionize straight lives.”

  • Both the National Center for L e s b i a n Rights and the Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund are considered, not “fringe,” but “mainstream” g a y activist groups. Former Lambda Legal Defense Fund president Thomas Stoddard also expresses lukewarm support for same-s e x “marriages”:

“I must confess at the outset that I am no fan of the “institution” of marriage as currently constructed and practiced….Why give it such prominence? Why devote resources to such a distant goal? Because marriage is, I believe, the political issue that most fully tests the dedication of people who are not g a y to full equality for g a y people, and also the issue most likely to lead ultimately to a world free of discrimination against l e s b i a n s and g a y men.”
