  Ehh, not approving of what he did. But high school sports have become a joke. Starting at large schools often has more to do with boosters children, coaches aspirations, etc.

  The coach is probably just planning for the future at the expense of the current season. Which to me is wrong. High school sports is about giving kids athletic experiences, winning, losing, getting along, practicing, playing hard, etc. It’s not about promoting a coach’s career or about the tiny percentage that may get a scholarship.

  The left has assaulted traditional institutions over and over again. Well I call for a strategic retreat. Get schools out of the dance business! Let Churches sponsor them and they can be PC free. If leftists want to hold a PC dance, let them.

  The same with marriage, get government out of the marriage business. If a church wants to marry only heterosexual couples, then they can. For that matter, maybe there will be a pagan church that would want to marry homosexuals, ok, it’s a private exercise of religion.

  It’s called switchgear , it’s a big giant breaker (or series of them). They need to be backed up with batteries in critical situations.

  Typically in refineries, or data centers they will have two power sources coming in, two distribution units, two switchgear and two panels for complete redundancy. Then backup generators (which may be unrealistic for a stadium).

  My guess is that they had to manually go in and reset the switchgear after it shorted.

  First of all I am an adult leader in a BSA troop. We need to be clear about things, first NO adult unless it’s a parent alone with their child is allowed in a tent with a Scout. No adult can shower or bath with a Scout. That being said, it’s tragic that BSA is even considering this. Besides the fact that it’s a solution looking for a problem. All they have is a few anecdotes to fall back on, we are talking about leadership here not Scouts. Yes, if Scout says “I’m homosexual”, of course he has bigger issues to deal with. But NO youth should be discussing sexuality at Scouts anyhow!

  Regarding Leadership, that’s different. If this is accepted all of the training and materials will quickly degenerate into approval and acceptance of homosexuality. It doesn’t make sense to allow the indoctrination of young minds with homosexuality. Yes, there may be some that you would never know, and they would never say, but guess what? They can do that now!

  The whole signature thing is a lie, it’s members that count, not just random people.

  Trust me, if this happens BSA will fail (as in Canada), the LDS church and Christian churches will surely form a replacement organization that would be larger than the BSA in a few years.

  The difference would be that to purchase a gun you have to create a public record. But Ann’s precept is correct, regarding the paper’s policy. Parolee’s are public record, so why haven’t they published those. In the case of abortion, it is an analog politically. Clearly the paper is publishing the names because they are trying to embarrass and/or harass the owners because of their own political ideology (anti 2nd amendment), if you did the same but were pro-life you could take pictures of woman as their leaving an abortion clinic and print the pictures in the paper (this would be wrong, but it is the same in principle).
