Bailed Out Insurance Co. Considers Joining $25B Suit Against U.S Gov’t, Unhappy With Bailout Terms

Hey JROOK – you might be right on this. Maybe this means that we should have a very limited government that should not be handing out food stamps, loans, etc. that are costing us all money? Maybe if the government wasn’t spending so much money we could all lead better, more free lives.
What’s All This Talk About a $1 Trillion-Dollar Platinum Coin? We Explain
January 8, 2013 at 8:55am
Why stop at minting 1? Why not mint one of these for each person in the US – just think of the stimulus that would provide if we each had $1 trillion to spend in our economy? It would be well worth the amount of platinum we would have to buy. We could make them from aluminum and just get them platinum plated!

Rose-Ellen – you are insane. We have rights that are given to us by God, not the government. If government can give us rights they can also take them away. Profs make too much $ because the federal government keeps increasing financial aid to students – the colleges would be stupid not to take the money and run. Cut back on student aid and tuition’s will fall – they will have to or the colleges will go out of business. Doctors make as much as they do because of all of the time they have to put in for training, not to mention it is a highly skilled profession that not everyone is capable of doing. How would you guarantee a living wage to someone? What should it be? $10/hour? $15/hour? $100/hour? Who determines it? The government cannot get anything else right, what makes you think they are smart enough to figure out what employers can afford to pay? If you are offered a job, you either accept the salary or move on to another opportunity. If the employer is not offering a wage that is acceptable to employees they will not get employees. The free market actually does work, assuming the government stays out of the way.
D’oh! Debt-Ridden Post Office Loses $1.2 M After Printing a Billion ‘Simpsons’ Stamps
August 22, 2012 at 1:15pm
How about only having 1 design for your stamp? No additional setup charges, design fees, etc. Makes it easy – need more stamps, place an order. They are used to send mail, we don’t need 20 different designs to choose from!

I don’t know that we are being “lied to”, but I think the writer is certainly exaggerating the conditions. The pictures really don’t look that bad – just empty and unused. Ever been to a large stadium, swimming pool, etc. when they are not in use? Maybe a drained pool that is left empty for a while? Doesn’t really seem like a big deal to me.
