  “According to the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, there are more than 238,000 people on SNAP in Hidalgo County, costing tax payers more than $28,000,000 dollars this month alone,” the report notes.

  “For Cameron County, 119,000 people are receiving assistance, at a $13,000,000 cost for February,” it adds.

  These figures would suggest a little over $100/month per person – how in the world do people get thousands on these cards and there are no eyebrows raised???????????????

  I am sure there is much more to the story here. I coach younger kids not high school so the pressure to win isn’t as great, but I would gladly take a bunch of kids with good attitudes and work hard with less talent over a team of talented hot-dogs any day.
  High school and higher level coaches get fired if they don’t win. Either the younger goalie is better or the older boy has an attitude problem.

  As a coach of kids basketball, baseball and soccer I see a lot of this type of behavior from parents. It is sad and embarrassing to have the kids see adults behaving that way over a game.
