Maybe he was trying to keep the good guy from going to prison.
Guess he figured anything more than one punch was excessive.
@ STM62 : The " helper " holding the suspect's left arm didn't see the suspect bit the lawyer, he only saw the lawyer's understandable self-defense action. I don't know if the helper is a Lib, but most Libs don't see what is plainly in front of them, or choose not to see. They should have given the suspect some equality with the victim and put the suspect Face Down on the pavement and she would have been less likely to bit anyone and easier to control. The " helper's " body language suggests that he really would rather have been somewhere else. BUT he did help.
I thought that it was very unprofessional for the cop to inject his opinion of the sign into the conversation. He sounded like a progressive. But, since Iowa City is a university town, don’t think that officers aren’t screened for political beliefs.

There could not be a better example of the human rights difference between soul less China and America even though America does not have near the moral authority it once did. The Asian should be deported immediately and is not entitled to a hearing. This will never happen because the progressives in the Obama administration and the U of I are probably celebrating the incident.

This was more of an attack on a CHRISTIAN restaurant than it was about breastfeeding. A PRIVATE business has the right to decide what is acceptable behavior in it’s restaurant. You can bet that most, if not all of the breastfeeding moms were anti-Christian OBAMA voters.

I was debating as to whether it would be best to defund, or let EVERYONE suffer the consequences of Obamacare. Maybe it is best to allow Obamacare to continue as it is LEGALLY supposed to. WRITTEN IN LAW with NO EXEMPTIONS, PERIOD. It is UNCONSTITUTIONAL for the dictator in chief to amend the LAW without Congressional approval.

I’m not watching it either. Gods mercy on the victim.

Elected leaders, and more specifically Presidents, on both sides of the aisle, must bare some responsibility for this.

Anybody who rides roller coasters can understand the great terror that this woman must have experienced as she was ejected from her seat. Great force is exerted on the restraining devices and is why redundant (perhaps a lap belt coupled with the primary restraint) systems should be employed on all coasters.

Older, established Republican Congress people can learn a lot from Chaffetz, and Gowdy. They are like two YOUNG LIONS.

Why would you ever broadcast such a find ? It wasn’t too long ago that treasure hunters were forced to give a very valuable treasure find from a Spanish galleon to modern day Spain. Totally wrong. Finders keepers.
This one will NEVER have any risk of going back to Spain since it is reported it was only 100 yards off shore, it is not in international waters and Spain could have no claim even if they alleged the gold was stolen back in 1715 before being lost. However....Florida and the Feds will have their hands out I am sure and will likely take AT LEAST half of the value. Since they are rare old currency - these will only be sold to investors/collectors museums not simply as gold, thus that will take some time, but the taxes were due the day they came out of the water.

Name changing (DECEPTION) are tactics of the far left. The TEA PARTY should keep its name. Sooner or later people, maybe even Obama voters, will see who stands for truth and Constitutional principles.
Agree, STM62. Cloaks and deceit are the tools of those who do despicable work, not those who's labor is truth.

This same type of thing happened in a small town near me. A popular high school girls coach was sexually assaulting players on the team and the school superintendent (a real hero in my book) stood up against him and MANY townspeople in order to protect the victims.
