  • I would hate to spoil the pristine environment of Mars. Just aim the rocket for the sun.

  • As a citizen of the esteemed State of Washington I would like to extend my deepest regrets and apologies to the rest of the Union for this man. He does not speak for me, my family or my friends here in this otherwise beautiful Northwestern Territory.

  • I would like to point out one of our worst mass murders at a school happened in Michigan in the year 1927 and was not by the use of “assault weapons.” Where there is the will, evil will find a way.

  • That’s standard carry for a 1911 – cocked and locked otherwise known as Condition 1:

Condition 1 – Also known as “cocked and locked,” means a round is in the chamber, the hammer is cocked, and the manual thumb safety on the side of the frame is applied.

The mode of readiness preferred by the experts is Condition One. Generally speaking, Condition One offers the best balance of readiness and safety. Its biggest drawback is that it looks scary to people who don’t understand the operation and safety features of the pistol.

  • I remember the anger and disgust I felt when first learning of the attack and tragic deaths. Never before had I felt something like this – at one moment I was filled with rage and yet at the same time a sinking sadness. A sadness I had never felt – an overwhelming sense of futility, a sense of impotence, a truly heartfelt sorrow not for the loss – but for the simple fact we failed our people due to what I could not and do not believe was “human error.” I’ve never felt this way about our country. My family is made of proud patriots and all I could feel was utter disgust and despair in this administration’s actions before and after the attack. It literally felt like the wind had been knocked out of me and there was nothing left to refill my lungs.

The more we learn of the event, the more I too do not recognize this country. This administration has no honor. No decency. 4 lives given for political gain and I doubt anyone will every truly be held accountable.

This cannot stand. This cannot be the USA we leave to our children. We cannot allow this to be the lessons taught to our young. These people cannot be allowed to be the inspiration for coming generations. We are better than this. I’m not going to give up and move somewhere else. This is my country and it’s worth fighting for. And they better know through their actions I am damn well ready to fight for it.

  • Things like this make me much more confident in my entertainment choices recently. I’ve pretty much stopped giving Hollywood my money. Between books, the internet and educational television (not PBS) I really don’t miss it.

Besides – the last thing I want is to be lectured by the Hollywood “elite.” Talk about out of touch with reality.

  • Really toning down the rhetoric. Though I must say the zombies do look cleaner and more competent than the OWS crowd. And I bet they have gainful employment and don’t rape women in the Zuccotti park.

  • So critical thinking now = indoctrination to left wing ideaology?

This isn’t just bad or misguided, it’s truly insidious.

  • I never thought of it that way but there is a lot of truth in your post. It’s not so much that our schools are failing at teaching – it’s WHAT they are teaching.

  • Glad to see another sleazeball so devoted to his cause – destroying evil capitalism and EVIL corporations that he wore his best pair of Nikes. It takes Mr. Nike days to hand sew a pair of those out of only the greenest materials from mother Gaia.

Oh wait… I think Nike might just be one of those EVIL corporations and he probably used the capitalist system to purchase them. (Giving the benefit of the doubt they were purchased and not stolen.)
