“The second i saw him i would have walked right up to him and asked “do you live here?… because if you don’t- you gotta take another route home, bro.”…”

And then . . . when the 6′ plus, gold-tooth grilled thug punched you in the face, jumped on top of you and started beating your head into the ground . . . what you do?

So, as with the Left’s love of ‘man-made global warming’ drum beat, it is okay if you have the cash. Pollute all you want, so long as you can afford the ‘carbon credits’. Sure, you can own a weapon so long as you can afford the fees/taxes/insurances. When are poeple going to see the Liberal for what he really is?

“Vice President Joe Biden dismissed the concerns of a pro-gun woman during an online Town Hall event and told her she doesn’t “need an AR-15.””

Who the he!! is Biden to decide what citizens need or don’t need? Just another example of the mentality of the left – the government knows what is best for you.

Personally, I don’t think Obama “needs” another vacation . . . but off he goes anyway.

Ghost is correct . . . however, you have a better chance of pumping non-Middle East oil in you tank from branded companies such as Sunoco, Conoco/Philips, Hess & B.P.

Citgo would be another . . . but the Chavez connection is, in my mind, just as bad.

    Guns are like condoms.

It’s better to have one and not need it . . . that to need one and not have it.

Right, because nothing like that has ever happened before. Just ask the Germans (and the Jews), the Russians, the Chinese, etc. . .

Cigarettes aren’t manufactured specifically to kill humans either . . . yet they seem to do a pretty devastating job of it – and usually start their work on kids. Amazing, since there are laws against kids be able to purchase them.

I’m still waiting for PEW to call me . . .

Orginal reports were that a “rifle” was found in the trunk . . . but it was a shotgun. CNN updated their story with the following:

“Three weapons were recovered from the school: a semi-automatic .223 Bushmaster rifle, a Glock and a Sig Sauer, a law enforcement official familiar with the investigation said. The weapons were legally purchased by Lanza’s mother, the official said. A fourth weapon, a shotgun, was recovered from a car in the school parking lot, police said.”

“Take away the ability to obtain guns legally and you take away the ability for them to be used illegally.”

Not true . . . on so many levels.

Heroin can not be purchased legally, yet it is readily available to those with criminal intent. Are you so naive to think that outlawing legal gun ownership will result in criminals not having guns?

  • December 26, 2012 at 3:19pm

Ranepowel . . . I guess we can easily do the same for drug use as well. Let’s take away a person’s right to legally purchase Heroin (for example), and then there will be no more deaths by Heroin overdose or illegal Heroin use. Gee, that was easy . . . oh, wait a minute, Heroin is already not legal. How in the world do people get their hands on it?

    Amazing.

That must mean, then, that even if we were to outlaw legal gun ownership . . . criminals would still find a way to get their hands on these weapons. Good grief! Whatever can I possibly do to protect myself and my family??

@sendthemeteors – You are correct, it is not a very good idea and for exactly the reason you state. Another is the fact that a single uniformed officer would be the very first target in a repeat assualt. There is a reason why states with the most relaxed gun-control measures have lower incidents of crime . . . the criminals never know who is, or is not, armed. On the flip side, there is a reason why these mass-killings always occur in “gun-free zones”. In those cases, guess who’s the only one armed? The bad guy. You mentioned the VA killings, which took place on a campus with armed security. A large university is no diffeent from a small town and the old saying “when seconds count, the police are minutes away,” holds true. There were numerous professors on campus that had legally owned firearms . . . in their cars. Had they been allowed to carry, the life-or-death outcome may have been far different. I get your warm and fuzzy ideal of ‘eliminating all guns’ – but that is not going to happen anymore than laws to eliminate illegal drugs. The unfortunate answer is; the best way to deal with an armed madman is by confronting him with an armed good guy. Allowing teachers, administrators and other workers within the school system to be armed – heck, even the thought that they ‘might’ be armed – is likely to thwart more future tragedies of the kind that occurred in CT last week than any kind of ineffective ‘ban’ ever could.

Armed Police in every school? Sure, and then once that becomes so, the next murdering lunatic will walk into a busy Day-Care facility, or a loaded school bus. Armed Police there too?

When seconds count, the police are usually minutes away.

Jeffursun – my personal case . . . I currently have 100% employer provided healthcare. My employer has already informaed us that our coverage will be dropped as soon as Obamcare kicks in fully in our state. My employer will pay the fine, which is far less than the HC coverage cost. I will have to get my own policy, which the last time I priced it out (via fed website) the cost was $12K per year for me and my family. I can’f afford to take, what amounts to, a $12K pay cut. So, I will soon become one of the uninsured and will have to pay a fine for NOT having HC. I will have gone from having very good coverage to zero coverage . . . all thanks to Obamacare. Having said this . . . please take your charts and shove them up your A$$.

This gets worse by the minute. What’s next? We find out that Petraeus was boinking Hillary too? Actually, on second thought, that story would lighten my day.

Chet . . . that’s a great deterrent – do nothing. Even better, because “they” would never believe the truth, let’s lie about the facts of the attack and call it a protest . . . only to then later call it an attack, maybe, kind of, yes – an attack. Naturally, because this must have been hard for our brave president to watch, the only rational thing to do was fly off to Las Vegas then next day.

At least Jimmy Carter ‘tried’ to save Americans . . . our current dingle-nuts in chief doesn’t even have the capacity (defined as ballz) to take action during an attack on American Soil (which a US Embassy is) and the slaughter of American citizens. An American Ambassador was beaten, tortured, sodomized and murdered . . . and this president did nothing. Worse, he further emboldened our enemies. Future attacks and deaths can be directly laid at his feet.
