  NO, HHS, my tax dollars should not pay for someone to change their gender identity. Why is this even under consideration? Just like my tax dollars should not be paid to abortion clinics under the guise of “reproductive health care”. Federal taxpayer dollars should pay for the defense of this country, period. State taxpayer dollars can take care of schools (property taxes), roads (license plate fees) and certain welfare programs. The government cant properly manage the monies they get from us now, i.e. Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, what makes them think they need to add more burden to us? God tells His children “NO” sometimes, it doesnt mean He doesnt care about us. Our government needs to learn that lesson–you have to put your foot down and say “NO” sometimes. And some of you out there need to be told “no”–not every one gets a trophy–you cant always get what you want, especially at someone else’s expense.

  Military weapons are NOT readily available to anyone. And the guns that were used in the massacres from Columbine to Newtown were not “rapid fire”. this is gross misinformation being fed to you by the MSM. The rifles/handguns used were semi-automatic, meaning one trigger pull, one bullet. And in case you forgot, Columbine occurred during the 1st Assault weapons ban–lotta good that did huh. When you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns. None of the laws in place stopped any of these shooters, what makes you think more laws will? Criminals dont care about laws!

  who’d a thunk? Freedom from Religion is involved. And, again, as with all their “cases” it is only 1 person who is offended. Why do we continually bow down to the wishes of 1 person? Why can’t they s##k it up and just not look at the quotes. If you dont like it, tough. Other kids may find inspiration in the Ronald Reagan quote–why take it from them? I find certain shirts that coworkers wear to be offensive, but i dont ask them to change or turn them inside out, i just dont look at them. I recall in one of the newscasts after the Newtown incident, someone said, “Where was God? Why wasnt God here?” Well, here’s your answer. God was kicked out in the 60′s when school prayer was stopped, and he continues to be kicked out today when teachers like this are not allowed to express their freedom OF religion. And for all you who will scream “separation of church and state” please note once and for all–There is no separation clause in the constitution or in the bill of rights. and by posting some proverbs and quotations that she likes the teacher is NOT trying to establish a religion, she is merely exercising her freedom OF religion. Same freedom you use when you post your billboards and bus signs saying that life is fine without God. You FFR people want to use the same freedom you would deny others–you are such hypocrites.

  you are so right and i saw 2 bumper stickers on one car that sums it all up: “ask me if i care” and “dont blame me”–that is the mentality we are dealing with in this day and age.

  Hey hollywood, have you forgotten the saying,”When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.” ? Also, a majority of these mass shootings occurred in “gun-free” zones–no concealed carry allowed by law-abiding citizens. Look at Chicago, look at Washington DC before they changed their law. When Great Britian outlawed guns, the number of injuries and deaths due to handguns rose over 300%. There is not a single country in the world where strict gun laws have reduced the amount of gun-related violence. Educate yourselves lefties, think for yourselves, study these tragedies–the guns were not the root cause, only an implement used.

  As a waitress making 2.13 an hour + tips i MIGHT make $20 per hour on a good night (people dont tip real well where i live). I work 2 jobs to sustain myself so i dont have to depend on anyone else to pay my way in life. Why are my tax dollars being spent on people who are too lazy (but perfectly able) to live better than i do (rhetorical question–dont answer it)? I am sick and tired of paying taxes so they can get their hair and nails done and have satellite TV and xbox etc etc. Get off your lazy @ss#$ and do some real work like the rest of us do! Welfare should NOT pay more than minimum wage! When it does, there is no incentive to go to work. And isnt that what this country is screaming for–more jobs? As long as the govt pays people more to stay at home, what incentive do they have to find a job? AAAAAGGGHHH! So frustrating…

  To ‘udidntbuildthat’ You werent getting paid 2.13 an hour. Most people in these industries dont get anything over minimum wage, and waitresses and bartenders make less, so those tips can mean the difference between buying groceries that week or not. I have been in the restaurant business for 20 years and believe me the tips are the only thing that pay the bills. When you make 2.13 an hour, after taxes are taken out, your paycheck usually says “void”, so tips are what we live on. Why doesnt the restaurant pay its employees more? You couldnt afford the cost of the food then, that’s why. And dont tell me to go get “a real job”. I am a college grad and couldnt find work after graduation, so i had to do something to support myself. Turns out i like the business so i stayed. BTW, servers have REALLY good memories when it comes to cheapskates. We remember them just as much as we remember the good tippers. If you dont want to tip, go eat fast food. We will take care of those who appreciate our efforts, but we dont want to wait on people who dont appreciate us. I have never retaliated against someone who was rude to me–cant do it in good conscience, but there are people out there who will. Beware…
