  I agree with Senator Paul, but am concerned about his encouraging religious leaders to engage in the political debate. In my experience, church leaders, at the local and national level, are to the (far) left of their congregations. For example, PCUSA supports abortion rights and single payer healthcare. We don’t need to encourage more liberal advocacy in the name of social justice. The spiritual reawakening needs to occur, I’m just not confident the present leadership can make that happen in the manner Senator Paul foresees.
