Being called to the table on something you did may stink and be horribly embarassing at the time but in the end it sure does make a difference in who we are. I’m thinking that dad had it up to his eye balls in sassy teen and decided shooting the laptop was better than screaming, yelling, and physical violence. I thank God everyday that there wasn’t an internet for me to make my life’s mistakes on and all the world to see!

Hey folks,

This is a whole new world in parenting and some of you are just ripping this guy a new one. I presume most of you doing the cutting either don’t have teens or are teens.

We who have teens are dealing with the old problem “bratty teens” and a new phenomenon, the internet. We have to protect our kids and ourselves from it. We try desperately to stay one step ahead of their secret FB accounts but it’s a never ending cat & mouse game. We can cancel dish, shoot computers, and take away phones in our frustration but they can still access these things everywhere: library, school, friends, etc.

I would love to know the answers but I don’t and I applaud this guy for doing something to show he is still the dad and his family matters to him.

I fear for this coming generation because they have never known privacy in their lives. They don’t think it matters but it will. In the same way our posts will never go away neither will anything they post on FB or other sites. Welcome to 1984.

So, are you an occupier, teenager, just a fool… or all three? Be honest, we’ll understand. If supplying free birth control keeps people like you from reproducing then it is well worth every penny and I’m fully in favor of it. Please we all beg of you, do not reproduce!

Gee Wireman24, you must live in Arizona or Texas (near Nogales or Juarez I presume) right on the border because you aren’t worried at all since it’s super duper safe. Call names if you wish but if you are going to do that then please, please move to southern Arizona, don’t lock your doors, and by all means please do not bring any firearms, just make sure you have plenty of unicorns & rainbows on hand to protect yourself. Once all that is accomplished, be sure to let us know how that’s working out for you. We will all be excited to hear from you. BTW, you really can get excellent buys on homes & land in those areas. Of course if you decide to farm in S. Arizona and check on your livestock you’ll be killed. Otherwise, great area. Really, all us crazies who are terrified to live there want you to lead by example.

I’m sticking up for Mutiny on this one. Tell me LDS friends, isn’t it true that you believe all other churches called Christian are not the true church? Aren’t they called an Apostasy? Doesn’t the book ‘o’ Mormon explain quite clearly (and all your teachings) that everything else is wrong and your own prophets have said the most correct book is the book O’ Mormon not the Holy Bible which may be why it turns off most Christians? So why do Christians who say they don’t consider Mormonism true Christianity get bashed on so badly? It’s no different than what you come to my house on a weekly basis telling my kids that Mormonism is the only true church etc. so really… are ya sure you want to go there because that’s what’s called hypocritical aka play acting.

I wonder what would have happened this past summer in Milwaukee at Summer Fest (? I think it was summer fest – not a lot of coverage nation wide) if the WI concealed carry had been active at that time. There would most likely have been a much more fatal outcome for the attackers. boo hoo

Big Brother doesn’t even have to ask anymore. I have a friend who puts on facebook where she is, where she’s going. There is a certain ilk of humanity which believes privacy in inconsequential and will even allow themselves (no doubt) to be followed to save a buck or two with coupons. We see it everyday in grocery stores as well.

Little by little we sell ourselves, our children, our privacy and our future to those who don’t even know our name.
