Yes. No question of it. Unfortunately, the doctor is the only “expert” that can tell if a baby is alive or not. So those “stupid, non educated” women are supposed to rely on his “expert” opinion. So, if you are a mother and abort your child, you are supposed to be so uneducated that you cannot tell if a baby is alive or dead. Only experts like doctors can tell you that because you are too stupid to know on your own if the life inside you is really living. That being said, mothers can get off of the murder charge by claiming that they are too stupid to know when something is alive or dead. I think we both know that these women are just fooling themselves. Doctors, not so much.

I’m sad for our country. A lot of good people live here, but we can not continue as a prosperous nation if we can not even support the right of the weak among us to live. Our collective selfishness has doomed us all. This is not about the failure of Gosnell, this is about the failure of morality among us. No civilized society would allow children to be murdered and not put a stop to it. Sin affects all of us, but without God’s help we cannot change. It’s time to draw a line.

More and more of our liberties are being taken away in the name of safety. Someone forgot to tell Democrats that there’s nothing safe about being alive. Tell you what, Democrat Liberal safety whiners: You stop killing the unborn and I’ll give up my guns. Until then, don’t bother telling me about how to protect my kids.

Way to go America. We are inviting God’s judgement by allowing the murder of the innocent. Slavery was wrong and we fought for it’s extinction. This is worse.

I dont think obama is a muslim, but I do think he sympathizes with them. You have to remember he grew up with considerable Muslim influence in his life in Indonesia so it would make sense. As a
TCK, (third culture kid) he would have been subjected to critical talk of how bad the U.S. is and would have absorbed it.

Oh that’s right, only Democrats can break election laws. For a minute there I forgot.

My wife works for the times in the advertising dept and they are all Romney supporters there. Its the “journalists” that are running the times. Plus, I’m guessing that with the huge black population in St. Petersburg, endorsing Romney would be like committing suicide to subscriptions. I have a feeling that they choked this one down and endorsed Obama simply because of their liberal writers. Liberals have taken over journalists. They are one and the same now. Too bad though, because they probably would have better business and sell more subscriptions if they were more central and not so heavy on the liberal side.

Way to go, Alternative-thought. It’s funny how you can take verses out of the Bible and plug them into whatever you want to believe. First of all you need to see the context in which that particular verse was written. Paul’s letters to various churches in the New Testament were for problems that various churches were having in those days. There are several verses related to controlling women who were causing a ruckus and disrupting services and family life in those particular churches. It was not meant as a book of rules to the whole church. He also exhorts slaves to obey their masters as if obeying God. Does that mean we as Christians are in favor of slavery? You’re an amateur Bible thumping idiot. Go back to the Gospels and try to prove your point there, moron. Jesus never said any of that. He did say love God and your neighbor. You will find nothing about the proper place for women in society from Jesus as it was not important. You probably haven’t read much of the Bible anyway seeing as God has been using women instead of men all over the place. Ester, Deborah, Rahab, Ruth, etc. Stop bashing women and stop bashing men who love their families but don’t do what you do. Here’s a couple of verses quoted out of context like you seem to like doing: Matt 27:5 Judas went and hanged himself, Luke 10:37 Go and do likewise.

You are an idiot, thegreatcarnac. The leftists want the state to be the father and the elimination of the family unit. Empowering women to be contributors to society or leaders is not leftist. Just ask Michelle Bachman or Sarah Palin. Bible thumping morons like you are only good for cannon fodder for the Muslim extremists who, strangely enough, believe the same as you do.

I also am a theologian and I see nothing in the Bible about a specific role for family life and work. The main job of the old pre-civilized man in relation to his family was to protect it from harm. It’s the reason in primitive societies that the man walks in front with a spear and the women and children carry the firewood. We dont live in Bible times anymore, therefore those old ways dont exactly apply. Mr. Theologian, perhaps you should apply more of your theology on the precepts of love and giving instead of putting modern civilized man in the context of ancient barbarians way of life. That said, I have taken care of my two children for 17 years at home and am still married to the same wife for 18 years. Children always can go to their mothers for love, but never forget we get our self-esteem from our fathers. I do all the things my wife cant (believe me there is a lot) and she works at a newspaper as an advertising agent doing what she can for the family outside the home. Its a team effort and thats how we roll. Let me say this too: who would you rather have at home when someone breaks in? Who would you rather have protecting your children? Thats rite. The man with the spear. So who is really looking out for the family? The man protecting the children and loving his wife at home or the man who spends all his time at work ignoring the family and much too tired to care when he gets home? Welcome to the 21st century Mr. Theologian.
