And just what EXACTLY is wrong with her accent? Sounds like sweet music if you ask me and a couple million of those of us who live in Texas. You want to hear something harsh, grating and annoying as hell? Sit and listen to a “Damned Yankee” who has come down here, yakking on for hours on end, trying to tell us Texans how to better run our own state. She may be crass, rude, and vulgar in a lot of ways, but her accent is just fine.

My ‘other son’…my son’s BFF that’s like my own…goes to Liberty and called me yesterday that he was so excited to see Ted Cruz, and all of his friends wanted to get the best seats. No forcing there…they are so excited for the future with Ted Cruz! He sent pics of the event to me today!

While I may tend to agree that it isn’t that simple…, if they really want to reconcile, why not contact the Rev. Graham directly? The Bible says if you have a problem with your neighbor, you go directly to him and work it out. It didn’t say go to the media and say it to thousands…..
Because we have become a nation of spiritual cripples and can't heal ourselves, no matter how hard we try.
Well perhaps the signatores are presenting a more subtle point that Franklin Graham is not Billy Graham and perhaps should establish himself within the true evangelical community rather than assume that he gets to build from the status his father obtained. Franklin's comments indicate he is more interested in celebrity status, political influence and headlines than being a spiritual leader. He is and never will be another Billy Graham and taking over the no doubt lucrative position of CEO of the Billy Graham foundation doesn't mean he is a faith leader. It merely means he holds a position.
What exactly did he say wrong? You’re right they’re being drama queens trying their 15 min of fame.
In post to Biohazard. Somehow in ended up on this thread.*
“You have sinned against us, fellow members of the body of Christ,” the letter reads.
If these so called Christian, were true Christian's, they would know that when you sin, you sin only against God! 2 Sam. 12. They have placed themselves before God and have therefore exposed themselves to who they truly are, the wolves in sheep's clothing that our Shepherd Jesus Christ, the Son of God, spoke of in Mat. 7:15.
‘Likewise, Christians who marched in Ferguson, Mo., New York City, and Madison, Wis., follow in the holy footsteps of their faithful predecessors’
One sentence says it all…Christians…? REALLY…?!…
Smashing storefront windows, setting fires and looting are Christian tenets…?…
‘We expect you to seek wise counsel and guidance first from those who bear the weight of the injustice and second from other experts in the field’
They aren’t wise, but they are experts at twisting The Word of God…shameful.
Exactly true @teammoomy!
Franklin Graham did not sin against them!!!
He was true to their souls!!!
He spoke a truth that if people would follow it would save their lives! Now, what is wrong with that?
While I do not agree with the way these "pastors" responded, I also do not agree with Franklin Graham.
I believe in respect for authority, to a point. What Graham is asking people to do is what got millions of Jews killed by the Nazis. It has allowed communism to kill tens of millions. It has allowed dictators to thrive.
Blind obedience will lead to tyranny.
Not sugary enough for today's man. Graham had it right. No need to sweeten the message
Graham was right, they are wrong! Period. If you don't know what I mean, watch cops. The people accusing cops are a lot less moral and peaceful that officers.
Yes teammommy, you are right!, Only people full of pride and envy would do a public rebuke to humiliate.
These religions that only preach "God loves you" are lying. In many cases he punished those that failed to follow his tenets. The Bible tells the Churches to "Let your women be silent in the Churches." That means no women teachers in the Church or Pasters. In Romans ch -1 verses 26-32 it discusses the Q_ue-Er-s and L_iZ-zies and how they are equal to a murder. Now some religions are embracing H_o-mos.
Here is another vicious act of common sense brought to us by the hateful right that will be shouted down just like it deserves by great liberal thoughts and deeds just like "hands up don't shoot".( this is sarcasm in case you are a liberal)
Jim Wallis' signature on the "open letter" pretty much says it all.
What I read in that letter wasn’t in the words. It was between the lines. It read: P-R-I-D-E
I would reply to them: Pride cometh before the fall!
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
And that, by the way, is also a good response to those who would defy the police as well!
Actions will always speak louder than words. What people do is more important than what they say. This applies to everyone, everywhere. We don't need religion or governments or gods to inflict their collective wills and rules regarding this basic tenant of being a reasonable human being on this planet. It's common sense and if we keep "talking" which everyone seems to want to do, we will miss the opportunity to change for the better. Stop talking and demanding we have to "open a dialogue" or "start a conversation". Start acting like reasonable adults and stop expecting credit for words.
They didn't go to him directly because they weren't interested in "reconciling". Rather they were interested in continuing their pandering to the multitudes. If I were Rev. Graham, I wouldn't fret. Being on the wrong side of these false prophets means he's on God's side which is where you want to be.
Sheep & GOATS..."but Lord, didn't we OPENLY REBUKE Franklin Graham IN YOUR NAME"?..."Depart from me,I NEVER KNEW YOU!"
Because He decided to go public, and so the public should know that he is not unchallenged.
Harper who wrote this letter works for Jim Walls of Sojourners. About 30 pastors that nobody knows signed this. Nothing really to report. This is no news at all.
Of course it is just that simple. The key to not getting shot by a cop is to not resit arrest even if you think the cop is dead wrong. let your lawyer and the court system figure it out after that.
Europe has Muslim "No Go" zones that have simply decided that they don't have to abide by any rules but their own. The message here is that we have our own "No Go" zones where white people and non-lunatic minorities, especially white cops, just have no right to hold the folks in these areas accountable or responsible in any way. Now, in case that lifestyle doesn't make them able to, you know, support themselves, just send money.

Please remember that the South is becoming quite transient. Im from the Charlotte NC area, and can’t tell you any friend that I have that was born in Charlotte. They are all here from up north….
They leave their states that have been ruined by leftist freak DemonRATS with outrageous taxation and out of control costs of living only to move to conservative southern states and begin to turn them into the same leftist freak heII holes they left. Complete morons!!

I disagree. Im from SC and The Patriot. THATS a classic. I don’t know anyone that saw Lincoln.
Dose this mean after all these years Carter is showing himself a member of the "Muslim Brotherhood".....?

Well, I totally agree with the writer. Call me harsh, but folks these days have forgotten common courtesies. They should be called out. Its gone from “i will respect my neighbor and clean up after myself” to “Whatever is convenient for me and screw the neighbors”
Mommy- The letter writer is a democrat complaining about democrats.
how so proverbs?, as I'm sure you would assert that democrats are all athiests and thus don't observe christmas?
Absolutely, mommy. This is an important story, no matter what the naysayers think, along with real news re: national and international un-niceties. We have important issues all around us, but we need to clean up our own neighborhoods (including liberal politicians) first.
We can’t police the entire world, but we can police our own backyard/town/city/county/state/country. Start there and expand. It will take care of itself, in time. Look at what the reverse has done in just a few decades.
common sense is like deodorant, the people who need it the most never use it.
common courtesy isn't.
Since I would belong to neither of these "disrespectful groups" my response would be to grab a red Sharpie and correct this letter as if it was a middle school English paper... but I'm a jerk like that.
When the horses go by they don't hop off the horse to clean it up. So I walk my dog down the middle of the street.

Soon Its OK for Charlie Rangle to call someone a cracker, claim its a “term of endearment” yet this woman has to resign cause she spoke the truth? Perhaps it was not smart to say these words in a public forum, but Rangle’s comments are OK???
I am from Florida. AND proud to be a CRACKER. Retired in Mexico. So quit whining. My El Presidente is a MEXICAN.

I always always always call the cops when I see anyone panhandling with kids. Child Protective services should be called as well.

Dude whats your problem? Such hate on this sport. Yes I agree that was classless and stupid. However, NASCAR isn’t the “redneck” sport it once was. This brawl is no different that a NFL, NHL, MLB or NBA brawl. Ive seen each this year. I see the same ‘money wasting, arguing and tv watching’ on each sport. You are stereotyping people when you call them rednecks. If the same scuffle broke out at the NBA would you call them “glorified ni**ers?” NO. And THIS is whats wrong with America??? What an uneducated buffoon.
Oh and for your info, this is one of the last frontiers that still honor our military, still pray before each race, along with the national anthem and flyovers. Have you seen prayer so prominent at any other sports event?

then she shouldn’t have plastered herself all over the media
That’s a really good point Teammomy. It’s a fact everyday somebody takes their own life for various reasons, terminal illness like end stage cancers, and other debilitating diseases, sever depression, not withstanding. Announcing a planned suicide and basically “counting down” on social media has really brought the fun and happy conversations out all over the internet and beyond. And i’ll say this, i really don’t wanna hear about this anymore either, at the end of the day it’s between Brittney Maynard and God.
Get Adblock Plus, and then install the Adblock Plus Pop-up ad-on – they’re FREE! You can get it for Chrome (yech! blah! phooey!) Or Firefox (Yay!). THEN, using the ABP drop-down menu, navigate to and open the Pop-up Addon preferences. Click on “Add site rule” on the lower left. Copy the Blaze’s url and paste it where it says address of website, choose “Block all pop-ups” and apply to “New windows”. Click “save”, and you’re FREE!!!!
It reads like jumping through hoops, but the entire process takes about 4 minutes, including the installation of the AdBlock software!
PS, for all computer illiterates like me – Don’t be afraid to REMOVE Internet Explorer from your list of programs!
I have to agree with you there, it is annoying and distracting.
Now, as to the article above; the best way to 'make more noise' for God is to not only declare ones faith, but LIVE the faith and BECOME what you profess. Let God fit you for the work he has in store for you, and become it.
money first. you second
Roma Downy is nothing more than a new age mystic emergent church practitioner that has hijacked the name Christianity
Nicely Said mom. It just seems, low class. It looks like every malware pop-up ad I've ever seen since AOL
What I would like to know is why theblaze has not run the article about Mormon leaders admitting that Joseph Smith had many wives including other mens wives and a 14 year old as a wife?
Why not run this article and leave it open for comment ??????

SO why should the “feelings” of a few dictate the lives of the many?
If you go by that rule, then I will be glad to take your currency off of your hands. But only the currency that has “In God We Trust”. Hate to make you have to look at that.
Because your country was founded on God. That's enough...isn't it. Why are you trying to change what your lack knowledge to understand.
Clearly our Forefathers and the citizens who built this country want it everywhere to remind the Godless (that's you) where we came from and why we are/were great. Visit Harvard and Oxford or any other building that was used for higher education and etched in the walls you will see writings about God. Visit the Supreme Court... or Congress and try to understand what is blatantly obvious to millions of others.
Feral...you and I are on the same page?
Rochrealtor, I believe we are... !

If one provides a service that cannot be provided by anyone….then yes I say sue. But if there is another provider that will willingly provide the service, why punish the Christian company for the mantra of “We reserve the right to refuse service”?
Because the belief that a sign saying “We reserve the right to refuse service” allows discrimination is an urban myth since the Civil Rights Act of 1964. "No shoes, No Shirt, No Service" signs are backed by health ordinances.

Because they are. Cops forget that they work for us, and they are given a certain amount of power over citizens which is abused a great deal. They are arrogant and cocky. Not all, but the few that do paint the whole group badly.

OMG its wonderful. Nobody can match the seasonings. They also have grilled as well. And chicken salad. Love this place. My kids have grown up eating this and it is a family favorite.

SO its cool that y’all black people have a Miss Black America contest but y’all be all up in the white Miss America pageant, and how you be saying….”taking away” our awards as well?
 August 10, 2014 at 9:35am
serious? You say there should be a warning to have common sense and the sponsors at fault?
Yes, @teammommy, it is sarcasm. We all need a warning label above our beds which should read "Warning: getting out of bed may result in serious injury or death." That would make "personal responsibility" accountable for anything that happens, and we could use a little of that today....
