  My daughter is a 16 year old actress. This does not hurt my feelings at all! The less Hollywood is concerned about her sexuality, the more I like it! In our experience so far, we haven’t seen the shift yet in the roles she gets to audition for. We do our job as her parents and read scripts and talk about each potential role.   I meant, They think we are bigots but really disagree with it on a rational scientific and common sense level. Then there is the command by Christ himself.

  It doesn’t surprise me that ” The Great Comprimise” as I call it is getting deep into the church. In my lifetime, ( I am 48) , I am sure the PC crowd will make it to where we are silenced who disagree with the lifestyle. We are bigots. I disagree with it on a biological and common sense level, but I do also see the strong argument against from the bible also. Old and new testament. Jesus also had a moment where he could have endorsed it but didn’t. When he spoke about marriage he reaffirmed the man/woman definition of marriage in Mark chapter 10.

  Agreed! Romans 1 is clear. If a gay person says “I was born that way”, my response would be, we are all born sinners. The old self/man/woman has to die. “You must be Born Again in Christ, the new man emerges.
  What angers me is now if you disagree with homosexuality, you are a “homophobe.” There is no way in a gay persons mind to disagree. Disagreement has to be ridiculed as “cave-man ish”, uneducated, bigot, or the real goal, illegal. There is certainly no way to disagree with the lifestyle based on what the bible says or based on obvious/physical truth, or to disagree in a humble, loving way. You are just an idiot if you don’t agree with them now and vote that way and openly support everything they demand and sue over.

  It seems too easy. Jesus said in Matthew when the disciples asked him about divorce 4“Haven’t you read,” He replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ 5and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? 6So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.” Jesus had a perfect time to change the definition of marriage here if he wanted to. Not only does he define marriage here as between a man and a woman, but also reminds them this is what God has sanctioned. A double whammy against anything else.

  It seems so simple and logical to me. Then there was the joyful time at the wedding feast where he turned water to wine with his first miracle at a wedding between a man and a woman.

  Marriage is internalized in the gospels. While the Old Testament law was designed to guide and protect the external aspects of the institution of marriage, Jesus establishes new expectations for marriage that focus on its internal aspects. So, as Jesus declares in Matthew 5:27-28, adultery is not something that only happens externally. Instead, He interiorizes the command to make it an issue of the heart. Jesus will not stand for even internal thoughts that corrupt our view of marriage because it corrupts our view of Him. Jesus extends the importance of marriage by making it an internal issue as well.
