  I agree that there is more to this story. Perhaps I was too hasty (not unknown to happen in my case). Its just weird that the courts would grant her a restraining order.

  I agree that facts are sparse in this article, but I disagree that holding the young woman’s education money over her head is the way to go. I would understand that more if she was failing or truant or something. That doesn’t seem to be the case though. She is no longer sixteen and under their roof, so spying seems a bit over the top unless there is some outward manifestation of antisocial, psychotic behavior. JMO

  The fact that they bugged her phone and laptop crossed the line. Their child is now a woman. She is not acting irresponsibly, she is successful. The parents need to focus on their own lives and love their daughter for who she is, not what they wanted to be. I have four children, good relationships with them all and my grandchildren. I have to conciously ‘not meddle’ sometimes. Button your lip, give advice when asked. I am always available to talk and be a sounding board. That being said, I do remember when getting unwanted advice or some downright wrong information was not appreciated. I love my kids as I am sure they love their daughter, but they need to back off and let her make her own way. Mistakes and all. That’s how we all learn.

  Its so hard to wrap your mind around what has happened. But, just so you know, there is a disorder that is pretty rare that will prevent you from feeling pain. You could burn or cut yourself and not feel it. If this young man had that along with whatever else issues he had, it must have been so difficult to try and live with him and try to reach and help him. What he did was unspeakable and evil, but you have to wonder what kind of help is out there for people with severe issues to access. My heart is broken for the parents and loved ones of those that were murdered. I feel like I don’t want my grandchildren to even go to school. It is a frightening world we live in.

  Seems the atheists make a hobby out of suing around every Christmas season. All I have to say is that this is a time of Joy for those of us who know and believe in Jesus. Taking away the nativity might seem like a victory, but it is a hollow one. I would say to you all, God bless you. He loves you and will welcome you with open arms when you come to Him with your heart. When you have outgrown your rebelliousness, He will be smiling and treating you like the prodigal you are.

  Sometimes there are no words…. No matter how disrespectful and mind-numbing the comments, we do not have to play their game. My Lord and Savior is Jesus Christ. I will proclaim that until I can no longer speak. I will not entertain their blasphemy or support their endeavors to do so.

  I have much to be thankful for. I have a husband that is super special, my children that all have jobs and wonderful daughters-inlaw and beautiful grandchildren. We will all have dinner together today and for that I am ever so grateful.
