    Putin: Yeah, Crimea just happened.
Obama: Ok, well I bet you $20 I can invade Nevada.
    Putin: You’re on!

I suppose one must fall into three general categories:

a). Compliant submissive sheep that will always lie down, and bend over for whoever is in command no matter what is going on.

b). Wait until all unholy hell is unleashed, and then only because of utter desperation (no food no utilities, cities on fire, total chaos) finally try to do something.

c). Have some sort of preset markers by which you determine to make a measured appropriate response.

Many vets and current serving (as well as LE) openly discus this (without being labeled as “domestic terrorists” I might add). For example, what will they do if an executive order or command is given that directly violates the Constitution?

ALL this being said – the Judge made it clear that legally speaking Bundy is out of options. The window for him to make a case in a State court has passed. It is the over-zealous and militaristic response of a (yet another) agency that has people riled up and asking these questions.

How far is too far? Do you have any thoughts on that MountaineerProud, or do you just find it easier to go the Harry route and start labeling concerned citizens as “terrorists”? Is there anything any administration has done that you would call into question?

  • April 19, 2014 at 9:32am

    @ MountaineerProud

    1. Absolutely NOT. That would be the last option. Ugly and tragic. What I AM itching for, is a government constrained by law, obedient to the Constitution, and tempered with common sense. It seems we haven’t had that in quite some time. You disagree?

    2. When Harry used that label – it was not just name calling. At his level of politics, he knows that is a legal term. Interesting to me that OWS was never given that label by Harry, when they were openly calling for communist revolution, defecating on squad cars, committing rape and murder, and doing drugs.

    3. What I am asking is a deeper intellectual and philosophical question. For example, when you are making a pizza in the oven – after some time goes by you start to smell the pizza baking. You can crack the oven door or turn on an interior light and see whether or not the pizza is done and ready to be consumed. What are the signs? The cheese is melted and the dough is browning and starting to crust. These are signs that it is time to remove the pizza from the oven. TO continue this analogy – what I am saying is that Americans are starting to smell something burning, and yet everyone is running back saying “no, it’s not time”… thus my question.

    4. I submit to you that this is a question every person ought to consider, and be prepared to answer. How far can a government go, before it is “too far”? Why does asking that make me a bad scary person? Many are wrestling with this question.

I’d like to ask you & other voices a very blunt question: “What WOULD it take for you to say ‘it’s go time’?”

In your opener you state this is not the time. Others have said as much. I’m not disagreeing with you per se… Just looking back at American history at moments like the Stamp Act and the Boston tea party, the reaction to the young people shot by British soldiers, etcetera. Weighing these markers in my head & heart with what we’ve been watching unfold for decades here. Ruby Ridge, Waco, unending presidential wars, the destruction of our currency, the total lack of accountability in our government, the corrupt courts, Fast & Furious, Benghazi, NSA, CIA sending aid to AQ, apparent open communists in our highest positions, wave after wave of prove-able lies….

Just wondering why every big media voice rushes to shout “not now”, but never says openly their opinion about what that line is for them?

    I know it’s a bold question. Understand if there’s not a response.

If you ever wonder if you are loved or valuable at all to God- just remember what happened on Good Friday. Besides the obvious humiliation and physical torture – Jesus willingly took upon Himself all of your sins. Everything you did that you shouldn’t have done, and everything that you should hae done but failed to do.

Jesus loved you so much, that He bore your sins. In fact, He doesn’t even call them “your” sins. He owned them. He became sin for us.

A marvelous exchange was made available: all His righteousness, for all your sins.

Trust in Jesus. Trust that God sees you and loves you.

New York: come for the cannolis, stay for the communist revolution.

New York: try the new “Putin pizza” – it’s hot, it’s red, it will take over your tastebuds!

New York: anybody want a statue of Liberty? We don’t use iconic hate speech words like Liberty here anymore. Fuggetaboudit!

Malloy: This is your last chance, hotshot.
    Snake Plissken: For what?
    Malloy: Freedom.
Snake Plissken: In America? That died a long time ago.

TRANSLATION: “We aren’t going to lift a finger to seal & secure the porous borders of the United States, or track thousands here with expired visas. We will basically ignore you if you are an illegal alien. If you happen to be from Saudi Arabia, we may offer to buy you dinner and put you up in a posh hotel. However, if you are an actual American citizen, who works hard and makes society a better place … well then you best not screw up or I swear by King Obama’s mighty ears, that we will unleash all unholy hell upon you and your family. You will be labeled a terrorist, and your life will come to a short and sudden end as we focus the best of our weaponry, technology, and armies of bureaucrats and lawyers on you like a laser beam!”

according to the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Romans chapter 11, we are grafted into Israel if we believe on the Lord Jesus.

And in his 2nd letter to Timothy chapter 3, Paul references the Old Testament when he says “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”

Are you claiming the word of the Lord through the prophet Malachi has no bearing on your life simply because you are not Jewish?

Considering the deserted ghost town Detroit has evolved into, perhaps they should make him the new town sheriff.

It is comforting because God loves all people, and Heaven is a place that includes people from all backgrounds, all nationalities, all walks of life, and all different colors – who have all repented of their sins and trusted in Jesus Christ.

Heaven will be filled with the best and most interesting people!

In Heaven we will see Jesus, hear His words, experience His justice and government.

The best – most exuberant, amazing worship will take place in Heaven!

If you go on to read from the chapter I quote, it goes on to say:

    ‘Never again will they hunger;
    never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,’
    nor any scorching heat.

For the Lamb at the center of the throne
    will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’
‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’”

I was out shooting with friends on private property (mostly Marines, a Seal, and a Coast Guard).. one of the guys had a prosthetic leg from the knee down. It was causing him some pain after a while because the pressure was causing the bone to push through the skin. So he sat down for a bit to rest. He asked “anyone got duct tape in their truck?” One of us threw him a roll.

He proceeded to remove his leg, and duct tape the bottom where the skin was cracking and bleeding. Stuck his leg back on, got up, and continued shooting for the rest of the afternoon.

Not a word passed between us about it, but I learned something from my friend that day.

I will never complain about the small stuff ever again.

    Thank you, Rusty!
