You're jumping to conclusions too. They didn't even explain how it was supposed to be interpreted they just said it was wrong.
Hmmm, look at that. A bigoted atheist jumping to conclusions that support his narrow mindset.
Imagine that, the U.S. was started by Christians and they can detect a lie when they hear one, regardless of a person or group that attempts blur the lines.
Oh, and before your feeble attempt to say that the U.S. was not started by a majority of Christians using a treated that NO academia historian has said that it was proof that the U.S. was not started by Christians, don't bother as I've read the info on it. You cannot provide me with any credible evidence.
001: As soon as you hear " a Christian" being targeted, you know you are hearing from Obama Central. Tells you all you need to know about the radical Left Obama Administration. Never trust a group trained in Rules For Radical " moral " standards !
I totally understand, I could tell by your name that "credible evidence" doesn't hold much weight in your mind.
DOORS: And I can tell by your targeting " a Christian" that you are not capable of presenting an unbiased comment or " credible evidence."
I'm pretty sure that what 2GODBETHEGLORY is implying is that there is no credible evidence that proves our country wasn't founded by Christian minded people. All you have to do is research just a little bit. It's proven everywhere that this once great country was indeed founded by Christian minded people.

Perhaps…but I think it’s pretty evident why republicans keep losing elections. Social Issues. It’s a lot harder to explain to people how the government is invading their space economically when contrasted by the more visual space invasion of social issues.

hahaha….yeah I’m evil and a dead man walking and I just don’t realize it yadda yadda yadda. arrogance arrogance arrogance….your ideas are irrelevant and you just don’t realize it. :) I will take being wrong in the make believe world to being wrong in reality anyday. Lol

Oh gawd…the anti-christ? well this conversation is over….lol…not that we were having one but at least i didn’t bring up mordor.
April 9, 2013 at 8:36am
Awesome! You worry about that and then us adults will worry about the real world and how to properly treat people.
Sure, we could always take the easy way out and run as democrats. That way we will be sure to be elected based on all their seemingly popular satanic ideals.
Hell why even have a constitution anyway? Much easier to scrap it and just have a dictatorship. That way we can guarantee ourselves a victory every time.
Yeah they are gonna win the next election for president anyway and red states are gonna turn deeper red in the wake of the money crisis
Of course they will. We can't have the apocalypse until we are brought to collapse by the antichrist and his cheerleaders;)
Oh gawd...the anti-christ? well this conversation is over....lol...not that we were having one but at least i didn't bring up mordor.
No you just started a topic with a false premise, with nothing in the way of facts to support it.
I'd say that qualifies as fantasy, wouldn't you? :)
Perhaps...but I think it's pretty evident why republicans keep losing elections. Social Issues. It's a lot harder to explain to people how the government is invading their space economically when contrasted by the more visual space invasion of social issues.
Your last statement is also derived from fantasy.
Republicans keep losing the presidential elections precisely because they are shying away from the big social issues, like homosexual marriage. Romney just paid lip service to it, which didnt fool anybody and caused many social conservatives to stay home (like myself)
Santorum could have beaten obama, which is precisely why the left went so hard after him. Why attack someone so incessantly if they are no threat to you? They wanted either ron paul or mitt romney to win, because they knew they would beat them without much effort.
In fact, karl rove establishment republicans, of the type who prefer to be issue neutral or in favor off gay marriage, have lost many a local election because the purists in the party will not support them.
So no, your statement is not based on verifiable statistics, wheras mine are.
How is it the "easy way out" to understand the proper role of the federal govt? You don't have to support or embrace gay marriage (I most definitely don't) in order to realize that it is not the role of the federal govt to have anything to do with marriage in any form.
It's the easy way out precisely because the government is violating the constitution by trying to redefine Marriage, and because it seems to be a popular thing among our clueles youth (especially the ones who are struggling to make an indellible mark on the world) the easy thing to do is shrug it off as being "part of the times"
For a constitutional purist like myself however, i won't sit idly by and allow this to happen. Even if i'm the only one who doesn't sell out conservative principles by supporting the raping of the institution of Marriage, i will gladly stand alone.
The Constitution never -- let me repeat this, so you are clear on this point -- NEVER -- mentions marriage. At all.
It does not impart to the Federal government the power to legislate, or act in any conceivable way, to either promote or denigrate marriage. It is simply not within the scope of the powers of the Federal government.
Claiming to be a constitutionalist, then saying that you'll act to keep constitutional marriage the way it has always been, is a farce.
@Norm D. Plume
Excuse me, were you referring to me?
Are you really saying the Constitutional thing to do would be to allow the FED to redefine Marriage?
Do you even know that the Founders made homosexuality a crime in each of the 13 original colonies?
That George Washington drummed out an openly homosexual man from the military?
That Thomas Jefferson called for homosexuals to be "dismembered"?
If you were directing your comment at me, i suggest you actually read the Constitution before you try to criticize my purist take on it, amateur!

I’m going to try this hat on for size.
He couldn’t have been a “true” atheist. Hahahaha…

There are also “specials” on those channels about aliens, bigfoot, and loch ness monster. There is no evidence of a world wide flood.

Evolution is the whole “shebang”….sorry Bones you don’t get to make up the definitions. When we say evolution, like most people, we are talking about biological evolution. Sceince doesn’t know how life started yet, they have theories, but I can wait. Evolution has nothing to do with how life started or the cosmos…The Theory of Evolution just explains the process from simple to complex life forms.
Oh and there is no such thing as atheistic evolution…just another term you made up.
April 2, 2013 at 8:28am
Once again the humility of believers. You are truly arrogant.
What this athiest group tried to do was moronic….what you believe is moronic. I can rail against both. I was a Christian for most of my life…I’m far more secure in my beliefs now than I ever was. Now I have evidence…it really matters to me that the things I hold dear are true.

You guys really believe this? I thought you guys didn’t believe in scientific dating.
Also, put some paint on your face and then put a white sheet over it and see what happens.
Research the Shroud. No know substance can be discerned. Not blood, and definitely not paint. Fool.
Doors of Perception is unread.

Doors of Perception is unread.
Perceives a witty aside as a substitute to compensate for the lack of study.
And not very witty. But I'm generous.
With you I'll demonstrate measuredness.
Your attention to detail is elephantine in antsy lackadaisicalness.

How about this….this is really simple.
Name one scientific explanation that now has a supernatural/god explanation.
April 1, 2013 at 2:36pm
@I support God’s Israel!
Uhhh…they can prove that now actually. It’s called genetics and virology. Look up Kenneth Miller…he actually proved it in front of a court judge in the Dover trial. Oh and he is a Christian…but he lets the facts shape his worldview not the other way around.

I recommend the internet to help you with understanding evolution and just science in general.
There is a great series on Youtube called “Why do people laugh at creationists?”…you will learn why people around you face palm when you start talking about evolution.

“Science by definition studies God’s creation, since he upholds the laws of physics.”
I looked at the definitions of science…didn’t say anything about god or creation. Where in the bible does it say he upholds the laws of physics? Are you just projecting your beliefs or do you have something to back that statement up?
“Without God, there would be no reason to assume science could work.”
Again, where are you getting this knowledge? How could YOU possible know this? Have you done studies in universes without God, written peer reviewed science papers that have concluded science does not work without god?
“Besides the fact that the universe itself couldn’t exist… and if it did it should be pure chaos, no order, we could never be sure that experimental results could be repeated in the future no matter how many times they had in the past.”
Once again…how are you finding all this out? How do you have all this knowledge that no one else seems to posess? Are you inferring again? Projecting?”
Choas? Like shaking a sealed mason jar with sand, rocks and water? You should do an experiment with that and see what happens after you let that chaos sit for awhile….wait for it…wait for it….bam! Order….ahhhh science.
“Of course, this does not mean that all “religions” are true. Only biblical belief is correct (because it’s been soundly backed up).”
"Again, where are you getting this knowledge? How could YOU possible know this?"
That's your answer? Really? Two can play that game -- how could you possibly know what I said ISN'T true? That's what we need to hear most. But for your sake (and the sake of any reading along with a more open mind), I'll go through it again (I've said this countless times in recent religion articles on here, so if you say you don't know it I guess you haven't been paying attention... but it can happen, so oh well).
It begins basically by asking "how can existence itself exist?" Have you ever thought about that? I can only come up with one answer, at least based on the laws of causality (and if you suppose those could be violated, then you've strayed far from science). Either nothing at all could exist, not even timespace, or existence MUST be infinite. Causality backs this up, because we observe that everything is an effect of a cause which is in turn an effect of another cause, etc. The observed laws of causality give us only two alternatives -- an infinite string of finite causes (but science has shown that time had a beginning), or a single infinite, beyond-time cause. To be truly infinite, it must have qualities that match the biblical God (and only Him, not any finite 'little g god' or the illogical god of Islam, etc.). Beyond time means can make unfakeable prophecies to prove His Word really is from Him, as the Bible has.

The sad thing is…that is very christian of him…when they had the power they loved killing people.
