  • No, that’s not my party. Are you saying that you don’t know my party? It’s alright to admit that you are wrong.

  • “Translated – ‘Expanding this discussion ruins my narrative. Please don’t include what else was happening at the time.’”

Explain to me how far a discussion on Thanksgiving can expand. We already went to Black Panthers and events that take place centuries after the time period we are talking about. Is it alright if I start talking about Madonna? I’m pretty sure she celebrates Thanksgiving. OH, WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE ALBUM BY HER?

    (see, I can expand discussion :D )

  • @Strawberry

“Some of their entire populations live as slaves!”

That was a quote from the guy above me. See? That’s why I mentioned slavery, because I was responding to a guy who mentioned slavery. You should really be more mad at him.

  • Hey, guys. Guess what? At no point did I mention that white people should feel expressly guilty for what happened to the natives centuries ago. That should not happen and I don’t agree with anyone who has that sentiment.

I only wish that history could be represented in a way that is honest, which Thanksgiving isn’t. There were good times and bad times. Let’s not throw out the bad because it makes us feel uncomfortable. Let’s analyze the bad so we can learn from it.

Now, which one of you thinks you know my opinions better than me?

  • WE USE THANKSGIVING AS MEANS TO MAKE IT SEEM THAT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SETTLERS AND NATIVES WAS HUNKY-DORY ENOUGH THAT THEY COULD JUST SIT DOWN AND EAT AND GIVE THANKS FOR ALL OF THE GOOD THINGS THAT HAVE HAPPENED TO THEM. You know damn well that the settlers and the natives had so much more history than that, good and bad, immoral and righteous. You know that placing all that history into a holiday that makes it seem as if their relationship was nothing but fun and thankfullness and good harvest is dishonest and does not represent what their relationship was actually like.There. Now, tell me where the Black Panthers fall into this?

  • I’m truly sorry that I used words and concepts that are too big for you to know, Zwolle.

  • MIKE, HOW DO YOU KNOW I’M A LIBERAL? HMMM? HOW DO YOU KNOW I AGREE WITH ALL OF THEIR TACTICS? HMMMM? Seriously, you are making me up. Everything you have just said about me, things you say that I agree with, I DON’T AGREE WITH. THAT’S PECULIAR, DONTCHA THINK? Well, I guess it all comes down to who has authority over my thoughts. Do you? No, I control my beliefs, thoughts, and actions. Only I have a say over what I am. Since you don’t have any more insight over my personality compared to me (I know, big surprise, right?), I suggest you stop talking about me as if you are me and you know me. It’s been proven that you don’t have a clue who I am.

  • @Strawberry

The Massacre at Wounded Knee (which was undoubtedly tragic) took place in 1890. How is it at all relevant to something that happened LITERALLY TWO CENTURIES BEFORE THAT? Y’KNOW, THANKSGIVING? THE TOPIC I’VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT THIS ENTIRE TIME?

  • @Seek.The.Truth

And what party is that? Go on, tell me what party I voted for, since you know what it is. I’ll be waiting.

  • “I’m sure the Knower is Atheist to boot.. EBT card must be running low right now, it’s having to sit home (free home) and antagonize folks here to pass the time, ObamaPhone is probably close to being out of minutes, or do they come with unlimited plans now. Just one of the bleeding heart liberals that would rather “Live on their knees, than die on their feet”. Must have been locked in a closet most of it’s life.”

You’re lying about me. I don’t have an EBT card. That’s all the evidence I need to show you, and anyone else reading this, that you are lying about me. That is an unquestionable fact.

Is it okay for me to lie about you? No? THEN STOP BEING A HYPOCRITE.
