  No she shouldn’t lose her job. However I would sentence her to sit in a room on camera and be forced to explain to the spouse and children of every vet killed or wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan why that picture is so funny and then be forced to listen to them tell her about their loved one, their death and their service, one at a time, for years if need be. Then let her try to excuse herself by claiming that she was just being a “douche bag”.

  Washington DC. was chosen as the Capitol because it was roughly in the center of the then United States. Now that would be more likely Kansas City of St. Louis. We should kick DC out of the union and move the Capitol to a better city. Give us back the Smithsonian and the Library of Congress and they can have the rest.

  Instead of running away why not secede? Look at a map of the election as county by county (http://www.outsidethebeltway.com/2012-election-county-by-county/) rather than electoral college and you’ll see that geographically America is mostly red. I know that in the population centers it’s blue but my point is that the red section can secede from the blue. Even Chairman Mao said that all revolutions start in the country and spread to the cities, and no one loves Mao more that Obama and his acolytes. Everyone thinks that secession is about racism and slavery but the south seceded because of states rights – admittedly it was the right to own slaves but secession can be about other things as well. Though slavery was an abomination and shouldn’t even have been in the constitution in the first place (it was a concession to get the south to join the revolution) the states do have rights as per the 10th amendment. Start with the states in the middle – Texas up through the Dakotas and move west to Utah/Nevada and east to Kentucky/Tennessee and maybe even across the deep south – leave the west coast, the rust belt and New England as Obamaland. I’m being a bit facetious of course. It is annoying to see a narcissistic cult leader bask in adulation from his followers but look at the despair by the opposition party in ’96, ’00, ’04, and ’08 and you’ll see that the right just needs to work harder, both in messaging and campaigning.

  I think he was called in at the last minute and didn’t have the rehearsal time he needed to perform. That wasn’t ad-libed, it sounded like an act that was thrown together at the last minute and he had to try to read it off a teleprompter. He’s an old pro in the industry but he’s never been know for his stand up routines or his improv skills. However, I think he did the best job that he could. His timing was off, which is from lack of rehearsal time and I don’t know how many of the jokes were his. His movies are full of very dry and intelligent humor so I know he can do it. He just needed more time to work on the act.

  Khrushchev said “We will bury you” and the USSR had nukes, missiles, long range bombers, subs and a trained army of millions with something like 100,000 tanks in eastern Europe. See how that worked out. The brotherhood are bunch of thugs with no way to threaten anyone anywhere except their own unarmed women and children. A war would be over in a few weeks and the entire region would finally be free.
