She defends herself as a journalist and then walks out of the meeting. So apparently she felt like she could emphasize her point by abandoning her job, which was apparently to cover the meeting?

And how much federal money are we now going to spend on THIS idea? When my kid was young, the PARENTS in the neighborhood organized the kids so they all went off to elementary school together on their scooters. We called it the “Scooter Brigade.” And we DIDN’T need any governmental assistance to come up with this idea. We came up with it BY OURSELVES. Shocking, I know.

A person can be religious and still be a scientist. I don’t understand why those two things are often considered mutually exclusive. The existence of God is not dependent upon whether humans can explain things scientifically. That is the height of arrogance. Isn’t is possible that God utilized the laws of nature to create the universe, and by discovering its secrets we are simply gaining a larger vision of His glory?
This debate is one of the reasons I left the baptist church as a teen. I just couldnt believe in a literal 7 day, young earth religion. Years later I learned about the Catholic Churchs view on this. The Church has come out & said evolution & God are not in conflict. It is reasonable to believe that a creator God used evolution to create what we see today. Who are we to say he couldnt possibly do that? We werent there so we dont know. I became a Catholic. It feeds my spiritual side & my intellectual side.
As for the Church being against science. Hog wash. Copernicus was a priest. Many bodies in space are named after priests who found them through the various Vatican observatories. Galileo was not punished for saying the earth revolved around the sun. It was because he dove into the theological & started tell the Church to change the Bible & teachings. At that time the instruments werent available to prove his theory but he was saying it was a fact. He also wrote a not so very nice book about the Pope, who had actually been his biggest champion. They were friends. He was tortured, flogged or imprisoned for heliocentrism. Because the Church sees order in all things, they felt it a good thing to study & understand Gods creation. Despite popular myth, the Church is not anti science.
Yes its wikipedia but its not a bad list

@SIRJAMESBOND007: The disaster is an earthquake. The Wasatch fault runs along the base of the Wasatch Mountain range, which of course is right next to where the data center has been built. There are stories about the possibility of an earthquake in the area all the time in the local media saying that it’s not a matter of if, but when.

“I think there is a bigger story here, here’s the one that will in time come out.” GEE, YOU THINK?? He’s just barely figuring this out?

I can hardly bear to look at that photo. Seeing that honorable Marine hold an umbrella for that disgusting liar – knowing that he’d just as soon take a bullet for him – is horrifying.

Last night I unfriended about 12 people and will be unfriending everyone who posts this. I am tired of having this issue shoved in my face and the world demanding I submit to something that violates my most core religious beliefs or be labeled a bigot and hater. It will not happen.
We will cram the homosexual agenda down your throat until you either accept it or leave.
You're out of friends I take it? Nothing is being shoved down your throat. Just get rid of facebook. You are a minority in this event.
I don't delete people from FB for posting opposing views, but for some reason I really hate this red square. I have only dropped three people though.
The left doesn't view it as "shoving it down your throat" if it is a cause they agree with, as it is just "common sense, and everyone agrees". Kind of like gun control. Only those that disagree with them are "unreasonable" and must be silenced or forced to comply, and if you don't comply you are forcing your beliefs "down their throat".

"We will cram the homosexual agenda down your throat until you either accept it or leave."
What if he's/she's a Muslim?
Better get that diversity/apology kit ready just in case....
'if you don’t comply you are forcing your beliefs 'down their throat'
...they are hypocrites...
God = NO legislation...
Depravity = legislation...
...let them live their lie, you do not have to comply...
How does ALL citizens claiming their equal rights and protection under our Constitution violate your "core religious beliefs"? If straight people have the Right to choose whomever they'd like to marry, than so do gay people. Under the 1st Amendment, your religious views have no place in civil political discourse.
Sorry, and there is the open barn door and 9 year old brides. Kudos.
The assaults will either break you or harden your resolve into an unbreakable hardness.
And by the way Sosorry, I've seen just how much these bleating morons show tolerance for those who disagree with them. Being a Mormon after Prop 8 really went to show just how much love and respect they have for their fellow man. I stopped having empathy for them a long time ago, I'm not going to willingly be part of a abusive relationship. Now they demand us to create a new right for them, and my church is probably going to get in trouble for not playing host to their faith. For the record, I would have given them the benefits in a limited way, but since that deal was ignored early on, I suppose any attempt at negotiating was foolhardy.
But by all means, the world burns and all the facebook sheep care about are showing their cute red squares with that adorable equal sign. I don't know what's more pathetic, the whining by the gay community, or the people on Facebook who think they're doing something meaningful.
