  • @Commonsenseguy, “this same group would not have a problem with a picture of mohammad”

That is ridiculous. You make a fallacious argument due to the rarity or completely nonexistent presence of schools in the US hanging pictures of Mohammad for us to compare to. If there was a picture of Mohammad hanging in a public school, you can bet the FFRF would be all over it. This narrative created by angry Christians that FFRF only targets Christianity is BS. We live in a country where the primary religion is Christianity hence all the incidents of unconstitutional religious endorsements everywhere, it’s not that hard to understand. There isn’t a single public school in the country that has a a large enough Muslim makeup for an instance of putting a picture of Mohammad up to occur. The very first picture of Mohommad that goes up, if it ever does, will be met with lawsuit threats from the FFRF.

The picture of Jesus is unconstitutional, whether someone complained about it then, now or 10 years from now.

  • “here, in America, they want to deny others the right to as a group celebrate.” —So atheists are barging into where these groups meet (Government buildings) and demanding they cease all celebration? How awful for those atheists to come into YOUR house of worship and demand you stop your activities…except…..you guys don’t meet at government buildings to worship, you have churches for that as well as the freedom to practice your religion anywhere in public. Pray in a government building and nobody will stop you.

“…and even paid for with (gasp) public money (and which does NOT indicate a ‘state sponsored religion’, merely state recognition of the primary religionS)…”

Let’s look at this statement for a moment. You believe that the government should be paying tax dollars to construct a religious symbol on government property, which is DIRECT government sponsorship of a religion (it doesn’t matter if it’s the “main” one/ones). Do you know what that word “sponsorship” means? It means using taxpayer money.

You try to contort your way into justifying state sponsorship of your religion and have no concern for contradicting yourself.

“when the Atheist groups here stop trying to erase all mention of God and halt their attack on faith” ——Again if the mention of God or faith is coming from a state entity, then a lot of people feel uncomfortable with their tax dollars being used for this purpose.

  • The ramping up of “war on christmas” coverage by right-leaning news outlets during Holiday the season? You don’t say. The left manipulates it’s audience, as does the right. I enjoyed your moment of coming to realize this.

  • What in this article led you to believe he is a commie? Or a capitalist? Or a socialist? I do not see his political theory discussed in this article one bit. Oh that’s right you’re incapable of critical thinking, hence non-religious = non-American = anti-American. The gaps in logic are incredible.

  • “they started letting fairies openly prance around in the Marine corps”

Tell that to a gay Marine’s face who puts his life on the line for his country like anyone else, and he’d punch your head right off.

  • “he is looking for an excuse – but, this is a really WEAK excuse”

People who imply that things like mental illnesses like depression are somehow make-believe never cease to amaze me. According to military.com*, Page’s father killed himself in his second year of Westpoint, making depression in his 3rd year completely feasible. Admit it, by “he just doesn’t have what it takes” —you mean he doesn’t have belief in God, which you believe is necessary to serve.

Now let’s entertain the notion that his complaints about superior officers breaking Westpoint code and practicing favoritism, required religious participation, etc. are true…Doesn’t that mean the superior officers have abandoned their mandate to uphold the rules of the institution? Your logic is “well many of the founders of that institution were Christian, so people entering the program should know those rules will be broken from time to time”–which is nonsense. Rules are rules.

  • LOL “Go to Iran” she says. Way to list a violent theocracy as an alternative to an atheist. Were you trying to imply Iran is a secular society? Wow.

Please clarify this comment: “Values, constitution, GOD~~~ that’s AMERICA, baby. Love it of leave it!”

Are you saying “love the right to worship any/no god”? Because that part I do love. —this is what I thought you meant, but I’m curious, were you at all saying that if one doesn’t personally believe in god, to leave?

  • You win for dumbest post of all time.

  • One is too busy with the other.

  • @TYRANNYNOMORE

There’s no need to lie so outrageously about the numbers regarding Solyndra (spelled with a ‘y’).

“Solyndra received a $535 million U.S. Energy Department loan guarantee before going bankrupt. Under the Solyndra restructuring plan, the government is projected to recoup 19 percent on $142.8 million of the loan and nothing on the remaining $385 million.” —Definitely a huge loss, but nowhere near 90 billion dollars.

I disagree with Jerk on this one, but it’s important to get the numbers somewhat accurate.
