  • LOCKED,

As a Christian, I love the thought of the Bible being taught in Public Schools; however, it is not alright if my religion is acceptable to teach, and then other religions cannot be taught. That is not equal, and is not fair to other religions.

    Right again you are sir.

  • LOCKED,

I agree completely. Seeing that Universities as credible as Harvard, Yale, etc. are offering those courses, why not have a High School offer those? And get this — they are not mandatory! You have the choice to choose that class. No one will “force” you to take the class.

This is brilliant, and will ultimately give the younger generations a choice in whether they wish to study religion or not. I think it is only fair that they can choose for themselves, instead of their parents telling them they have to, or telling them they can’t.

    Way to go Jan Brewer!

  • PAPERPUSHERMJ,

I am not for this Atheist Agenda, but I am for hard facts. So, let me enlighten you with a little bit of hard facts here.

“During the event, Atheist Agenda collected five Bibles, one Encyclopedia of Islam, and one Quran. The group plans to donate the books to a local library.”

    Count:
    - 5 Bibles
    - 1 Encyclopedia of Islam
    - 1 Qur’an

They plan on donating those books to a local Library. And that is the only noble thing I see in this article.

In my opinion, their approach is not a good one; nonetheless, they are trying to “spark a debate” with any of those groups. And in doing so, they have steered people away.

    Serves them right.

  • I am a Christian and I agree with you. Most of my Atheist friends do not mind it if I pray for them or their families. They do not mind prayers before sports or crosses at Cemeteries. These are the extremists who do not want to encourage people to believe in Atheism, but they want to destroy Christianity.

Everyone practices their own beliefs, and they do not conflict with each other like this. They have their rights and so do we.

    Nice work sir, or madam.

  • DISSENTNOW,

In order for one to conclude “who created wings”, it is imperative that you discover how everything else came to be, so that everything could exist. If one knows where everything came from — including the matter used in creating life (wings, etc.) — then it is possible to conclude how “wings are created”. And DNA is more than enough “Scientific Proof” to quench your thirst. And DNA has to be something that was created in the beginning, so life could exist…

Let me further explain how everything can exist with “Scientific Proof”, known as “Anthropic Coincidences”.

And here is a link that gives you quotes from real scientists (of all branches of science) that have discovered what I have found through “Scientific Proof”.

Please read some of the quotes, and read some of the articles. I don’t suppose that you will read everything. That would take a while (in all honesty).

  • DISSENTNOW,

“Christians would never try to force public schools to teach Christian creation science to children or force public schools to install the Christian 10 commandments for every student, many of whom are not Christians, to see.”

I’m sorry, but Christians do not try to “force” anyone to do anything. Our mission is to spread the word of God to those who have not heard the good news, and do not believe. We are trying to save those people. We do not “make you believe”.

Stop me if I am wrong, but is it not the Atheists who are demanding a church in Hawaii be evicted from a building that they renovated and contributed to the community for such a long time? They invested into it, and have only been beneficial to that community. And what do the Atheists want? Read for yourself…

    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/atheist-group-demands-christian-church-be-evicted-from-public-building-in-hawaii/

And by the way, Religion used to be taught in public schools; however, that all has changed, due to the Atheist groups forcing them out of school. What is their problem? Science and Religion used to be taught in a school, with no qualms…and now? I think it would be YOU who are trying to (and are succeeding in) “force their views on others”.

  • Mitt Romney has admitted to NOT being a partisan Republican, but to being more Moderate. They were not referring to the Republican Establishment in the state of Massachusetts…

Here is the same story covered by a different source:

    http://www.mediaite.com/online/more-archival-video-watch-mitt-romney-proclaim-in-2002-my-views-are-progressive/

    - Newly unearthed video shows Mitt Romney being interviewed by local TV reporters during his 2002 gubernatorial campaign, with the future Massachusetts governor saying “I think people recognize that I am not a partisan Republican. That I’m someone who is moderate, and that my views are progressive.”

And this is from another site, covering the same story:

    http://bluemassgroup.com/2011/12/in-2002-romney-was-not-a-partisan-republican-he-was-a-moderate-and-his-views-were-progressive-he-said-so-himself/

    - The old standby definitions of who votes for which party have been blown away in this campaign. I think people recognize that I’m not a partisan Republican, that I’m someone who is moderate and that my views are progressive.

  • TODD P,

I have heard you say the same thing; over and over again. Are you done yet?

You use childish name calling like, “Ricky” and it is rather annoying. And if you actually had two cents to rub together in that head of yours, you could understand that Santorum does NOT support Obama. Your ignorance is so thick, it resembles the density of the Obama Administration — and that’s saying something!

Now, get back on your boat captain, and sail away. No one wants to hear your antics.

  • TRUTHNSTUFF,

I am a Christian, and I believe in God; however, I did NOT bring my religion into this. I was making the statement that the things Mitt Romney stand for are evil. If you have never heard of satire, then by all means, grab a dictionary and look it up.

My morals and beliefs are not very different from any other Humans. I believe in helping people, providing for those who can’t help themselves (medically, physically, etc.), living a life that does not cause me to stray from the teachings of God, and to want the same salvation for everyone else. I cannot convince everyone to believe in God, and I will most certainly NOT force them to believe. If they choose not to believe, that is per their own wishes. I will respect their wishes.

    Savvy?

  • Although I do not agree with having Obama in office, and want Obama out of America entirely, I must agree with Rick Santorum.

Mitt Romney is a real flip-flopper. He has an Etch A Sketch personality that looks similar to Obama’s. He sounds good from here, and looks decent (for what we have to choose from), and then will probably turn for the worst when he is in office.

Do you honestly think the Devil — I mean, Mitt Romney — will be any different than Obama? I am afraid not.

However, if it comes down to it in this election, I will back any of the GOP candidates. I will not vote for Obama. I will vote for one of them. It is that simple.

As for now, I will continue to back Rick Santorum. I believe he will accomplish many great things in this country. I believe that any of the GOP candidates will be better than Obama.
