“Someone call the police!”, said the woman recording the event on her cell phone…

Did you bother to look at the last photo? SHE apparently thought it was funny, so why can’t we have a laugh too?

    JIMS51,

As long as other accept cash to buy stuff, why would they not accept cash for gold? Why not sell gold for cash when you can purchase more gold with cash. When cash becomes worthless, I don’ think you’ll be able to buy gold with it, but for now why wouldn’t they?

    ENCINOM,

You misspelled “White House”. I fixed it for you (but the punctuation errors are still intact).

“Leadership, where, not in the White House, all that is there is a loud mouth with an ego and an army of the ignorant.”

    DNEWTON,

I’m sure you can draw parallels between any two religions, but your statement that “both deny that Jesus is a critical central figure in salvation” is patently false. You can ask any Mormon, and they will tell you that Jesus is THE critical central figure in salvation.

Or, if you think that they are lying to you, just read The Book of Mormon for yourself and you’ll find that “There is no other name given whereby salvation cometh; therefore, I would that ye should take upon you the name of Christ, all you that have entered into the covenant with God that ye should be obedient unto the end of your lives.”

A smart person would keep that gold close to home and tell people it was in a vault far away. The people behind this gold purchase are not dummies. They see the writing on the wall, and they are getting prepared. I have a feeling UT will be one of the few universities still in business after the collapse.

The article quoted him as saying “we still had a cop shot last week with a gun that somebody had even though the federal laws prohibited that person from having a gun.” He just made our point for us (us being people who support the 2nd ammendment) and yet he still pushes for even more gun control. This guy is a complete idiot!

Actually, you’re giving Soros credit that he doesn’t deserve. The long quote at the end of the article explaining why some rich people claim to be liberals was from Rush Limbaugh, not Soros. Soros would never admit that.

Wouldn’t the left/Dems have waited until after he was the Republican nominee before trying to trash him? I think this is coming from his Republican opponents or the RNC, which bothers me even more.

    FORMERLIB,

Go crack a thesaurus. Less inequitable = More equitable. i.e. You just echoed Mr. Gates’ point.

Exactly! These children are a blessing. If every family had one, the world would be a much better place.

    LEMHI & KMICHAELS,

I went to BYU a few years after you, and none of my religion teachers ever said anything like that about the Catholic church. However, in my high school seminary class, I remember my seminary teacher SPECULATING about it. LEMHI may have had a similar experience. If you really need to label a church as “The Church of the Devil”, there is a very obvious target out there (hint: Who paints Jews and Christians as it’s enemy?).

As to the charge that Mormons (ie. members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) are not Christians is ridiculous. Either Robert Jeffress has not done his homework and is just regurgitating what has been written by the antagonists, or he doesn’t understand what it means to be a Christian. If you really want to know what the “Mormons” believe, start here: http://lds.org/plan/our-eternal-life?lang=eng

Since when is non-enunciation of the ‘g’ considered a black thing? I hear it all the time from all variety of English-speaking people. Regardless of whether the writer should have replaced improperly pronounced words with properly spelled words, how can any rational person make a leap all the way to racism?

Most of these idiots came here FROM California. They have already ruined their state, and now they’re spreading out, trying to ruin the rest.

Thanks MONCINE, but we’re not really interested in your monthly cycles.

You’d think any fast food place that does not accomodate fat people is shooting itself in the foot, but they are still getting this guy’s money every day. Sounds like White Castle have a business plan that works.

I liked the explanation from “MAN UP AMERICA”, but I’m afraid Mr. Press Secretary may need something a little more simple:

Lets say you have 10 employed people who earn one dollar each. It is pay day, so there are 10 dollars available to spend in the economy.

Bob, one of those 10 people, loses his job. Thankfully, an extremely generous government steps in and pays Bob 90 cents. It’s not quite as good as he had before, but he’ll survive, and that 90 cents is going right into the economy to create jobs. Maybe not for Bob, but for somebody, right?

The generous government had to get that 90 cents from somewhere, so it collects that 90 cents from those other 9 people who still have a job. They still have 90% of what they earned, and they can feel good because they helped poor old Bob create jobs, so everyone is happy, right?

Now they each have 90 cents to pump into the economy to create jobs. This is great! So lets see… 90 cents times the 9 employed people plus Bob’s 90 cents equals… only 9 dollars. Did we do the math right? The economy has actually been reduced by 10 percent!

Oh no! Now Fred is going to lose his job. But that’s ok, because Fred will receive 90 cents from the government… to create more jobs…

As long as people like Bob are paid to be unproductive, this cycle will continue. Eventually, the economy will collapse and NO ONE will have a job. It’s so simple, you’d think it would be on the application exam for the position of White Hou

So there is some evidence that other worlds are made up of the same stuff as ours. How does this disprove the existence of God?

  • August 9, 2011 at 3:59pm

So these people believe the existence of the human race is credited solely to evolution, yet they refuse to believe that humans may have evolved differently in different parts of the world in the past 6000 years? Have your cake and eat it too?

Also, what happens when a population is built by pairing off close relatives, ie. brother/sister/cousin/etc., as happened at the time of Adam and Eve, and again after the flood? Wouldn’t you expect an “absolutely astronomical mutation rate”?

Isn’t he a rapper? No one has heard his music because he has never made any.
