  • This is priceless–what you describe is exactly what religious people do. If a child survives the car crash, it’s a “miracle” and if another child dies of cancer, it’s “God’s Will.” There’s nothing that can happen that disproves your “theory”–god is always in charge and is “winning.” Atheists (and a lot of religious people) understand that there is no “design” in random weather patterns. As tragic as these things are, it’s just not more complicated than that.

  • I agree with your statement…but you’re assuming this is a “one-off” by these parents. I think anyone who does this even once, and in PUBLIC, is likely to be so unaware and clueless that I’m sure they’re engaged in other bizarre and demeaning activities in order to “enjoy” their cute and hapless offspring to the fullest.

  • These parents are sick. At that age, you are the Sun and Moon for your kids, they trust you completely. And you will sell that for a cheap laugh on some moronic talk show? Sick.

You want to erode your credibility with your kids? this is how to do it. Toy with them like they’re cartoon characters, use their emotions (which is most of how they respond to and understand the world at this age) against them, with their trust and love for you as the fulcrum? Disgusting.

Someone should do a followup with these kids in 15 years. Then we’ll see who’s laughing.

  • “Holy sh** that was some ******* radical”

It’s 2012. Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure is from 1989. These people are morons. Get a live or a job or both.

  • In the United States of America, as envisioned by its Founders, the right response would be for all 300+ Million of us to make our own videos about Muhammed, or Islam, or anything else that we might like to poke fun at, and post them on YouTube. This had nothing to do with some stupid video, but even if it did, then we should hammer them with a billion videos making fun of their religion. We’re Americans–we can say what ever we want to say, and think whatever we want to think, without fear of ANYONE or ANYTHING. This is the American way. On this, there is no compromise.

  • I am stunned that anyone is even remotely surprised by this. If you’ve been following politics for more than a few cycles, you have to be aware of the fact that the Republican Party is not a free market party, nor is it conservative. It spouts that stuff to get elected, then it puts the free market tool back into the shed within months of getting into power. I am surprised that this comes out of Romney’s mouth during the campaign–bad Willard, bad Willard–you do this AFTER the election, not before. This will be sad, but fun to watch. Any of you who think this guy or that party is going to “save” the country are living in fantasy land.

  • Of course–the Lord of Lies infiltrates local news broadcasts, and Jesus shows up in fajitas and on hubcaps in Tijuana. That’s how the powerful ruler and wannabe ruler of the Universe show how truly powerful they are. Local news and fajitas. And hubcaps. Be afraid, be very afraid.

  • These are the 10 Most Stolen Luxury Cars

    August 3, 2012 at 5:01pm

This list is bizarre–seems to have a lot to do with production numbers. If you only produce 500-900 cars of a certain type, and 3 get stolen, you’re at the top of this list. Sebrings and 300s are luxury cars? Huh? CTS I can see, but a 300 Hearse Mobile? Or one of those gawdy Sebrings? Seriously?

  • It’s a damn shame that maybe a half or a quarter or an eighth, hell, even a tenth of these “legions” didn’t show up on the plane BEFORE the plane crashed. Timing is everything I guess! Don’t give up your day job.
