It’s called war. It’s not supposed to be make-nice-nice.
Patton said it best: “Make the other poor dumb bastard die for his country.”
Do your duty and be glad someone’s not targeting YOU.

    Please, Mark…. DO IT.
Surround the White House and chant for a couple of days.
    Tyrants need to sweat…

We KNOW that materials from Mars were blasted out by asteroid impacts and have landed on Earth (they pick of pieces of ancient Mars in Antarctica all the time…) There is no reason that pieces of Earth haven’t been blasted out into near-Earth space and are floating back too, so the argument they couldn’t have drifted that high doesn’t wash. BTW: The 1969 book “The Andromeda Strain” was wrapped around a plot of a USAF project to capture just this type of ‘ancient microbes’ to make weapons.

Back when I was little (in the ’60s) there was a peeper around our neighborhood. One of the neighbor’s sons was a cop and he quietly advised the group that if we caught the guy to always damage one of the screens or windows on the outside. That makes it look like the guy was trying to break in and no court would care if he got a bit roughed up in the take-down….

( I fly R/C planes) Those engines develop a couple of horsepower and the blades are traveling just under the speed of sound. At the tips, that’s very similar to the power of a circular saw. As others have commented they are not toys and are supposed to be flown in a safe manner…

After he blew nearly a billion dollars each on Windows8 and their ‘iPad killer’ Surface tablet that’s going to wind up in the landfills it’s not surprising that Ballmer will take his retirement fund and slink away. He was always a bit of a goon and the company will be better off without him.

I live in Martin County right by the lagoon. Algae blooms are common and natural; they happened before the area was settled and will happen forever. BUT the US Army Corp of Engineers screwed up the marshlands filtering the water from Lake Okeechobee a few decades ago and now they are releasing billions of gallons of water regularly straight into the lagoon without it filtering as nature intended. Everyone down here is upset about it.

“Suicide by cop.” Give Capt. Huff some extra vacation time and a big pat on the back.

My buddy’s daughter-in-law is there as one of the camp re-enactors. Sure wish the tv networks would carry some coverage of this historical event….

Sorry folks but this all started back in the ’70s/’80s. Once the telephone exchanges went from hard wires and relays to computers, everything was up for grabs. Everything that goes through a computer, all phone calls, all email, all messaging, all cables… EVERYTHING going through computers is logged, traced and probably stored. It’s the nature of the beast.

How many of these are being bought by state and local government fleets mandated by federal regulations???? Those fleets should never appear in sales figures (or at least as a separate line item.)

What a joke! I fly R/C planes and helicopters and those helicopters shown have ZERO carrying capability and CANNOT fly a mile away. In fact those helicopters cannot fly outdoors except in zero wind conditions – not conditions you’d want to spread diseases or gasses.

There is almost no oxygen and so little air pressure on Mars that no large-scale animals can survive. The problem here, just like the “Face on Mars” is that the human brain is hardwired to see things in our memories from random patterns.

Doctor Who…. is that Matt Smith or David Tennant? I didn’t know that the sci-fi show had anything to do with abortions…
