  • It’s rather comical that this walking amoeba who championed the movies “Dumb and Dumber” is really portraying that he was not really “acting” at all. He was just being himself. It’s amazing. Even hollywierd could not write a script like this.

  • The real root to the problem here is that with the societal break down in culture, the teachers know they don’t have a chance, especially in the inner city. THAT is obviously politically incorrect, but, the statistics stand. You can’t teach someone who does not wish to be taught, and if the parents don’t enforce the child learning with some sort of discipline, the child will find a “discipline” from other factions of life. That is what they respect.

I know I am old school, but, when I was in Junior High back in the 70′s, technology was not all that great. BUT, they had a PA system that piped all sound from the vice principals office to the entire school when the vice principal chose to do so. And if you were sent to that office for a fight or doing something stupid, the switch would be flipped and the whole school got to listen to the conversation between the principal and the student. Then the principal would conclude the conversation by asking the student to get the paddle and bend over. Two swats later, the student was much more humble. In my house, the two swats were nothing compared to the response from my parents for embarressing them. No law suits filed against the school. Today, not so much. The teachers are being held responsible for something they can’t be responsible. Yes, there are good teachers and there are bad, but, the ultimate responsibility is the student. Until this country allows failure and the responsibility of the individual, we

  • @keatonc333. Your statistics may be correct with respect to occurrences per capita, however, the methodology is flawed with respect to population density. Further examination of the statistics you cite will lead you to discover that in the lesser populated states, the statistics, taking into consideration the entire population of the state including the rural area’s and the suburbs are quite skewed by the fact that the urban crime significantly skews the ratio. It is quite spectacularly evident when the District of Columbia which is simply an urban city with no rural area’s leads the statistic you are quoting and thus, neuters any reliance on the fabrication and manipulation of the statistics you have read and purport to believe. Please in the future consider the source. However, if you are trying to disarm American Patriots from the ability to defend themselves from the criminals who choose not to follow any laws, I hope the criminals find your house before they do mine. I have a scissor in my house. I do not rely on that to defend me from armed intruders as the dear leader is trying to sell. Nor would I rely on the “scissor” to defend me and my family from a tyrannical government.

  • I work for an large architectural firm on the east coast and in the past five years have NOT seen a raise in salary for 5 years. Instead, those of us who are working for Federal, State, City or County to build their new awesome LEED buildings have also taken 5% pay reductions. The previously mentioned gubment folks who just arm chair quarterback what real architects and engineers do have all the latest technology. They pay no attention while at important meetings because they are playing on their gubment issued I-pads and often when they are finally in a position to have to do something, they ask what it is. Had they been paying attention, they would know. And that usually means they will find a way to remind the citizen employee that if they don’t do their job for them, their firm will not be in a “good light” with the gubment “selection committee”. Same or reduced pay for the private citizen who produces something. Increased salaries and retirement for the gubment employees. Sorry for the rant. What am I missing here?

  • @Drako. Nice post. However, very few will understand your 95 theses comment. Of course that is a shame.

  • Very nice. And the best part is he and his wife are working together as a team as God designed it to be.

If you believe in keynesian economics, then you should be afraid of high salary government workers losing their jobs

If you do not believe in keynesian economics, then you would celebrate it

I am sorry if my post was unclear, but, I thought it was. I was pointing out that the politicians have created an economic monster that neither party wishes to resolve now that 52% of Americans have been socialized into socialism and believe they are entitled. The point of my post was that neither party has the political will to ameliorate the spending problem. They will use their power to keep in power until the whole thing comes crumbling down.

  • The problem with shrinking the Government is extremely huge. The Dems the Repubs created the monster that they don’ know what to deal with. Many post get rid of the EPA, Department of Energy. O.K. I can agree with that. Where is the private sector going to absorb all of those high dollar salaries? Most folks I know from the private sector would not hire one of of them UNLESS the company was a government contractor and had to have one of those former beaurocrats to help them get the contract. The monster is bloated and expects to be fed. Unless the private sector can absorb all of those jobs, it won’t happen. Plus, unless lobbying is eliminated and the buy offs for keeping the bloated government agencies continues…..it is a pipe dream. The Tea Party has a tough row to hoe. Presently, all of Washington exists to keep the few they want employed and in power. Heck, there is even a good solution to eliminate the Education Department. Vouchers would do that just fine. No democrat or republican senator will ever vote for that if they want to stay in power to give gifts and pork to their cronie buddies.

  • Suddenly Chris is all on board with gaining control of the south of the border and actually stopping the drug cartel’s. Simply flabbergasting. I see the tingle up as continuing to be a trickle down. The rats are jumping off the Obama ship.

sweet – how is Romney going to reduce the scope and size of the federal govt?

You actually hit the nail on the head with that. While I think Romney is better than Obama, it’s all just political spin. I suppose this will be greeted with many arguments, but, we as Americans missed the chance to get Gingrich in there. Perfect human being…hardly. However, against all odds, he forced the snake Clinton do do the right and I mean correct thing (i.e ballance the budget) and Clinton gets all the credit. Gingrich, despite all his faults would do in the near future what needs to be done to cut the deficite and find a way to convince the greedy takers that they should perhaps step back.
