  Ironic, considering Christians in the US probably support Israel more than American Jews – many of whom are liberal Democrats – do.

  Heck no he shouldn’t step down. I bet if you look at who’s posting, it’s virtually all Democrats, who would LOVE to see our most conservative candidate get removed because of one misspoken word. It would significantly increase McCaskill’s chances of a win, given that Todd was polling way up and extending his lead prior to this. It will result in a temporary drop in the polls, but probably only enough to bring Todd on par with McCaskill, and long-term things will swing back in Todd’s favor again.

  FYI, only 2-3 pregnancies result per thousand cases of forcible rape (stress can prevent pregnancy), and of the women who do get pregnant, only about 1/4 abort. Roughly the same as the 22% who abort when it -isn’t- rape. So rape does not significantly change women’s views on whether the baby should die. Todd was not being as diplomatic as he perhaps should have, but the numbers do seem to back him up.

  If Obama is considered “black” when he has a white mother, then I would think that blacks win more than they lose by marrying whites – most of their children will be “black” as well, and the percentage of “whites” will therefore drop. But ignoring all that, isn’t saying that blacks should only reproduce with other blacks an inherently racist position? One of my brothers has a perfectly nice black girlfriend, is she supposed to have nothing to do with him now because he’s white? Seems unfair to everyone involved.
