  The politicians that used the debt ceiling as a political poker chip should be held accountable as traitors.

  They quite literally held the country’s entire economy hostage in order to get some political gain. The debt ceiling has been raised by every president with the exception of Truman has raised the debt ceiling. Congress raised it 18 times under Reagan, and 7 times under Bush.

  Nobody is exactly sure what would happen if we had in fact failed to raise the debt ceiling. The best case scenario would have been a severe recession. The politicians responsible for holding off a deal were willing to throw the entire economy off the cliff to get what they wanted.

  If someone brings a bomb on a plane and tells everyone to do what they want or they’ll bring the whole thing down, that’s an act of terrorism. If they hold the plane hostage for money, that’s terrorism. I am not exaggerating when I say that this is what the politicians in charge were doing. They held the entire US economy hostage; millions of jobs, trillions of dollars. They said, ‘do what we want, or we’ll pull the rug out from under the entire country.’

  They are traitors.

  Oh right, all of THOSE things he said. He didn’t mean any them, you’re obviously missing the sarcasm and taking them all out of context. But also, I happen to agree with all of that.

  Yes, homeschool your grandchild so she grows up believing that evolution is a lie, then blame ‘the liberals’ when she fails to integrate into the rest of society.

  You’re all living in an ever-shrinking bubble. While you can all get together and ponder how good the ‘good old days’ were, the rest of the world is moving on.

  to be totally fair, there is a VIDEO of the instance of the vote changing from O to R. There are only unverified, word of mouth reports of votes being changed from R to O, not enough to base a news story off of…. Unless you’re the blaze, of course.

  Maybe now you understand why efforts to purge voter rolls of ‘illegal’ voters are so offensive to so many people. Yet this is what groups like ‘true the vote’ are entirely concerned with — deregistering people.

  Because those reports are not backed up by a video, they are simply blind accusations from people with unknown motives.
