  • It pains me greatly to see that we have so many pathological liers on this blog… No you can’t make that shot, I am sorry but anyone who has the ability to make such a shot would respect the skill necessary to perform such a shot, and would show respect and admiration for it.. anyone who says they could, or denigrates the skill necessary is not telling the truth….SO please stop, shut up, because you only confirm that you are a pathological lier. Anyone who knows anything about firearms knows that that is a shot only a handful of men could ever make on a sand bag, standing up with such a heavy weapon makes it damn near impossible, the voices on this blog that say it isn’t that hard could try their entire life and never hit that target….you simply have no idea what you are talking about, and confirm that you are fakes with your stupid comments

  • I see alot of people commenting about their growing up with guns, and the early age that they learned to shoot. I get it, I was brought up in a part of the country where all you had to do was drive a couple of miles and find a nice clear cut timber field where you could shoot till your heart’s content. Now that I have two small kids that just isn’t a reality, the only place I can shoot without being worried about getting arrested is at the range, the nearest outdoor range is an hour away! It sucks, I learned to shoot in my own neighborhood before it was developed, and I used to hunt across the street. SO exposing and teaching my kids about guns is not easy, this is the reality of just about everyone, so keep that in mind. I shot with my dad some growing up but where I really learned was when I would take my .22 out in the woods with 500 rounds and shoot by myself. Don’t know what my point was except it is not easy to teach your kids about guns unless you are rural, and it takes thousands of rounds to really be any good, not easy things these days. I learned to respect guns when I was 12 and my dad took me in a field with the 12ga single shot I had just got for Christmas…I know not the best thing for a 12 year old, kicked like a mule, so he walks up to a 5 year old pine and cuts it down with a blast of birdshot at close range, then he said “now imagine what that would do to you or me?” well I was so scared I didn’t shoot it for the first time until a few weeks after th

  • yep, my thoughts exactly

  • I am no dove when it comes to war, but in this case we stay the heck out of the way and let them kill each other. There are no “good guys” to back. You want the rebels to win, those al queda rebels, you know syria has massive amounts of chemical weapons right?? Do you what Assad to win, a murdering dictator who sponsors terror? No good guys=let them chew each other up, not our war gang, we get involved and we will be nation building again, which doesn’t work in Islamist lands. Or we give another country to the even more hard core radicals think Egypt, Libya, Tunisia,…..

  • you seem to be pretty knowledgeable with ballistics, however there are intangibles that make a pistol good or great. I am not a overly knowledgeable gun guy, got a bunch of them can hit what I am shooting at, but I never got into the nitty gritty of things. Almost everyone I know who is an avid firearms type swears by the .45 and the 1911, I think it is the intangibles and probably a little bit of history. I don’t think mag capacity is more important than stopping power, and so long as you can lob a bullet and knock down your target at 25 yards you are good, no doubt this weapon is up to that test..I own a Sig .40 that is the same as DHS uses, I can’t hit a thing with it and my buddies that are still in are far less accurate than the M9, however I would still rather have a .40 than a 9mm but would prefer a 1911, because I am much more accurate with it, purely based on ergonomics

  • True Story

In 1995 or so two guys got into a firefight in the parking lot of a Hardees restaurant in Rocky Mount, NC.
They both had 9mm glocks they both hit each other 15 TIMES!! They both died but not before hitting each other with a combined 30 shots.

That tells me all I have to know about the stopping power of a 9mm, no thanks

  • when I was in boot camp we shot the M9 on range day it was extremely cold and windy as all get out. They had fire cans set up off the shooting line, so I asked my drill instructor if I could shoot leave my weapon on the bench and warm my fingers by the fire. ye reluctingly rolled his eyes and said yes. with that I rapid fired through all of the phases and warmed my hands, in between. On the line I couldn’t feel my fingers, had never shot an automatic pistol before, and was one of only three that qualified. For the next four years I had no problem gaining marksman status.

The M9 was such an easy gun to point and shoot, I would choose to go out on all night benders when I knew we had range day the next day, one time I was practically seeing double and still got a marksman score..most of our shots were out 25 yards.

Now I have a Sig .40 and can’t hit the broad side of a barn with it, I am terrible..just awful. I am handy with my Tokarev though, just like the M9, the Tokarev is a natural pointer much like the 1911. So in a firefight I would prefer a 1911 or my trusty Tokarev, for competition shooting defiantly an M9.. Just wondering if other Vets have had similar problems with the Sig .40

  • Hate to have to be the one to point this out but the grip safety is kinda gay..bad asses don’t need safeties

  • Calling BS to this one…My 4 year old can tell a more believable story…no refrigeration for 4 days….I would hope someone would shut it down..better to be hungry than be hungry with diarrhea…can live for over a week without food

  • The one I wanted to see was when the Cowboys were playing Tampa last week and the official throws his hat in the end-zone just as I think it was Austin was making his cut, he steps on it, slips and falls down…that was awesome
