  You are right on. Some of these people who say that they prefer dogs to people as company have a sort of mild mental illness. They like dogs and cats because they don’t disagree with them. Anti-social folks the bunch of them.

  The reasonable way to handle is is to require the aged to retake their drivers test every couple of years. That way if they are fit to drive, they can drive. If they are not, take a bus, cab or get a friend or a relative to drive you. You can’t drive and still want freedom? Take a walk thru the park. It really is that simple.
