I don’t remember any of the great college rebellions of the 60′s and 70′s, of which these administrators are in that group, asking for permits. These administrators, like all progressives are hypocrites. They effected change by those tactics, and won’t tolerate it when they’re in charge.

If you can organize enough people you can overwhelm the control. Same tactics they use. You can’t do anything with just a handful of students

Every family has a crazy Joe, this father must be this familys’. Let pretended that all firearms are actually band, just like Cocain, Heroin, an Meth., I guess that means those itcrazy ems should be extinct from our society. There will always be the crazy ones who are so naive of the world we live in. We just need to recognize them and defeat their ignorance. Of course if he really wants a fight with honest law abiding gun owners who had nothing to do with the execution of his daughter, then Bring it on.
Mr.Parker probably believes that during prohibition.......nobody was able to get their hands on any alcohol.........He's just another delusional Liberal.

That was Lithgow wasn’t it?

You could always say those things, you just needed to be part of the group, part of Hollywood, part of John Stewart’s show, a liberal comedian, a New Yorker, part of the GLTBT(whatever that gay group is), or on SNL.

Who gives a flying shat about him, great use the opportunity if want, but who gives this POS any validity anymore, only his own sycophants. The most hurtful thing to do to him is to remind him how irrelevant he is and how he will leave office like Carter, moving on to a position of being a “Has Been” and all his treasoness actions will be wiped free of history. Adios, who were you again?

Never again! Great words but meaningless without action. There is a time to talk and work for solutions to our differences, and then, there is a time to fight to defend. We did this with Japan and Germany before we finally had to fight. Why is it these problems predominantly only occur within larger communities with large numbers of minorities? Because the parents/leaders of those big cities have the same type of hands off parenting style that ends with children who know of no boundaries of civilities. They allow the animals to be animals with no regard except their own selfish lining of their pockets. To hell with the big cities, they reap what they sow. My only concern is how to stop its spread, and to contain it to those cesspool cities. In fact, all of us not in those havens need to act quickly to prevent the spill over to our clean cities and states, for like rats abandoning a sinking ship, they will see our communities as a heaven on earth then move and immediately start to change it to where they fled.

The war on our civil society started a long time ago, the most current attacks are “Probes”, attempts to find a weakness and exploit the opportunity to overpower their opponents with the least amount of effort and risk. These minions have been raised from childhood, and indoctrinated into destroying our great nation. This is our future unless we can break the generational recycling of socialist/communist/progressive breeding. Some think it will be by love and compassion, I believe it will be through love, compassion, and strength. The strength to be honest and forthright. The strength to overpower those rabble rousers that use hypocracy and the ingnorance of the naive to do their dirty work. I swear before God almighty that I will stand against the “Brown shirt’s,” who will ultimately resort to violence when they don’t get their way. Unlike the cowards at that rally who stood by and coward to a few loud mouthed rousers that intimidated. How illustrative of how incompetent and feckless Bernie would be as an international leader, if he can’t even stand up for himself to just a few, and among his even more cowardly supports. How can anyone have nothing but contempt for such cowardness, let alone support.

Carl, I have walked the walk, and actually listened and understood the legal portion of training and applied it to all, even the crazy, loudest, and one holding video cameras. I also know what bad cops do and how bad trainers, mangers, and cop groupies are overwhelmed by fear and ego.
 August 7, 2015 at 9:43am
Wrong, you need to review “terry stop”. A person videoing a cop in front of his house is not suspicious, it’s a casual encounter and doesn’t justify an order to the man to do anything, and certainly not at gun point
August 7, 2015 at 9:32am
So officers are in fear of their lives from every person they meet. Not all officers should be like Barney Fife.
August 7, 2015 at 9:28am
Well said thanks for bringing in the terry stop, that is why the officer needs to retire, he no longer knows his legal boundaries, or authority, he appears to just wing it now.
August 7, 2015 at 9:21am
Habana Joe you are right, just as a robber with a gun and your unarmed, you might want to do as they ask. Both are threatening deadly force unless you give them what they want. Only the Officer once he gets what he wants will lower his weapon and will not shoot.
August 7, 2015 at 9:10am
You are dead wrong. This started when a representative of government interjected himself on a citizen with absolutely no provocation, and escalated it. Into a threat of deadly force. If not for the officer stopping, photographing, exiting his patrol car, and for what, a citizen holding a camera, the comments and actions of the resident would never have happened, nor would this story and comments.
August 7, 2015 at 8:59am
Bud, you will never understand. It’s little things left unchecked that eventually normalize bad things. Your the lobster in the pot that doesn’t realize it getting hotter.
August 7, 2015 at 8:54am
Amen, I never feared video. Audio, however… Several times you have to ask, “What were you thinking?”
August 7, 2015 at 8:50am
Looks like he needs to retire.
 August 7, 2015 at 8:49am
your on the right path but stretching it. There are plenty of times an officer may draw his weapon in anticipation of a legitimate threat, but not in middle of day, with a homeowner in front of his house videoing the officer who has driven in his cul de sac several times, photographed the resident, and clearly is armed with a camera and done nothing to suggest he is has violent criminal history.
 August 6, 2015 at 8:53pm
So the cop pulls his gun on a guy filming with one hand on his camera, usually your strong hand, that is in clearly in what appears to be a clean upscale neighborhood, with no call for service and no violation, or reasonable suspicion of a criminal violation and somehow some think there is justification for this officer to draw his weapon, and threaten deadly force for contact he initiated with no reason a suspicious investigation. Are you insane. This is why I retired from LE. Officers like this that eventually stay long enough to become trainers and supervisors. There was absolutely no reason for this officer to initiate a contact, and certainly not a civil contact as to start by saying “take your hand out of your pocket”. How in the world can that be taken a citizen greeting to start a conversation?
This officer is a coward, lacks strong self esteem, and has significant lack of judgement. He is not, and I say loudly, not an officer I would want to represent my community. If he had any reason to contact the man why didn’t he tell him, even after he exposed his hand and he followed the man into his property? He didn’t even have the common thought to realize if the man was filming to conduct his action with great measured response. To those who over estimate the threats officers face everyday, and try to justify this officers response, do an injustice to officers who do face real threats. This is all due to incompetent leadership.

Help me understand? How in the world could this be anything other than attempt at self defense? This is not one of those police shootings of unarmed individuals that need the full investigation. Your an idiot. You only know how to parrot a comment but don’t know the application. Do you honestly think this Navy Officer used his firearm inappropriately? Go ahead, speculate for me. Idiot.
It absolutely was self defense. It was definitely an appropriate use of his firearm. I believe the sailor deserves a medal, not any form of punishment. What I was referring to was whether or not the Navy was going to punish the sailor or not. West and Webb should probably reserve public comments until the the Navy has an official position, not sound off on hearsay.
