Total U.S. Christian population = ~76%
Total U.S. Muslim population = ~0.6%
Perhaps now you can appreciate why the overwhelming majority of instances of religious bigotry being challenged in this country are coming from Christians not Muslims.
No religion is obligated to perform services for anyone. There is not a single church, temple, mosque, or what-have-you in this country that has to perform anything at all for anyone, for whatever reason. (The only things churches and temples, etc., etc have to do is observe public building and safety codes such construction standards and fire alarms and similar things.)
OH that won't go well.
I know huh, While they are hating on Christians, Islam is sneaking in their back door. They won't say anything against Islam because they could actually get hurt, and it is the favored religion of dear leader. One day while they are hating on someone who refuses to bake them a cake they will turn around, and it will be... Gay's meet Shariah... Shariah meets Gay's. Y'all have fun now.

Well, I’m pretty sure the base is embarrassed by the Republican party.
No. Only a small faction of the Republican base (Tea Partiers/Libertarian-leaning) are embarrassed. Most of their base is still very supportive of the GOP. And this drives the typical ultra-conservative Tea Partier/Libertarian crazy, but there you have it.
These trolls like SOSORRYFORYOU have no idea! There are tens of millions of us. Many don't vote at all because there's been no one to vote FOR. When the right candidate comes along, we'll come out in droves to support him or her. When the GOP puts up bone heads like Romney, McCain, Bush (both) Dole et al, we stay home. When the average "tea party" member, small govt. conservative finally quits believing the same crapola the media keeps feeding us about "electability" and votes for a real conservative, we'll have us a candidate to get behind.
The problem is that when you look at the shift in the political spectrum from the days of Kennedy to now you see that it is precipitously to the left. John F. Kennedy would have been to the RIGHT of every candidate running as a Republican in 2012. If you don't believe me look at his policies, look at his stance on key conservative issues and the way he governed. We don't need a new Ronald Reagan, we need Rand Paul and Ted Cruz in 2016. Both of them have what it takes to set this country back on the right path. Hopefully it won't be too late!
@Sosorry - Yeah - that explains why tens of millions are so disgusted they stay home on election day.
If republicans actually put up a candidate that people could trust and believe in I think you'd be surprised at the numbers that would show up. It would be enough to overcome the democrat fraud machine.
MADMAN1000 it's guys like YOU who sit on your hands waiting on the political messiahs to effect YOUR VOTE that lose elections!!...6,000,000 of you who voted for McCain the first go round... DIDN"T vote for ROMNEY in the second!! He just wasn't conservative enough!! VOILA! OBAMA for 4 more!!
We've gone so far left now I'm not sure how long it's gonna take to turn it around! But one thing I do know, waiting on MR RIGHT before you make a move is one of the republican parties correctable weaknesses. So if your not gonna MOVE, GET OUT OF THE WAY!! or better yet GO register as a Demoncrat and don't vote there either SAME SAME!
I cannot stand the national GOP or RNC any more. Unfortunately, I have no choice in my state (D, R, or essentially no vote).
With that said, the Constitutional conservatives (includes many of small government Libertarian mindset) in my state are slowing taking over the GOP leadership here. The old guard don't like it - but it is only a matter of time before we are actually the Conservative party again, at least in Oklahoma.
You got it pal. The silent majority is out here alright.
The shadow economy has been carrying the so called real economy for nearly 8 years now. This particular group does not really care about the Republicans, the Democrats, the Socialist, or the Islamist. This group will not bend or comply to non Constitutional law. When, and if ever another Reagan comes around, they will show up. If not, they will make themselves known when the time comes.
...Which is why they have begun to stay home on election day. I am tired of holding my nose and voting for the lessor of 2 evils as I have done since Reagan. I mean, John McCain??? Really??? These are our choices. I always did it because I knew the democrats were worse but I'm going to join those that are sitting out from now on as well. I had many, many friends who did not vote in 2012 because they said it's too late and we are going over the cliff and we might as well have O & Company in charge when it happens. Our poor children and grandchildren.
if by tens of million y'all mean tens of tens.
Commiedestroyer - No need to project your voter fraud that you Marxists use onto others. You need non-US citizens, welfare bums, dead people, and people voting more than once to win b/c you can't win by the rules.

I sure hope president “Punished with a baby” doesn’t pardon his wretched ass.
Amen to that .. hopefully he will be put in general population before that could happen.
I have thought of that possibility myself. I wouldn't put it past him.

When did comedians decide that it wasn’t important to be funny anymore, just to say crude and insulting things? This is liberal left wing comedy at it’s core. Just spout out vulgar statements your fanbase will clap approvingly at, as if it is something bold and witty. But really it’s just the same tired and typical ranting we’ve come to expect. There’s nothing new, “edgy” or controversial about anything they say, much less anything that could be considered funny. Jim Carrey is a washed up hack, desperately trying to convince himself he is still relevant by pandering to the ignorant.

This happens all over the place. I had a friend who married some guy in the military to get rent money. That was like 15 years ago. I’m sure people had been doing it much longer than that.
Bigot, really? Do you know what CPAC stands for? I'll give you a hint: The first word of the acronym is CONSERVATIVE. We are talking about conservative values hence why ANY group promoting something that goes against traditional values are welcome to attend (Yes GOProud is not being kicked out nor being excluded from attending) but not welcome to be a sponsor.
SE is an atheist so I'm not surprised by her "boycotting". I'd rather have Monica Crowley anyway.
While I agree with your support for the woman I can't agree with your paining everyone who attends CPAC with the bigot brush. That's just as bad as progressives painting all conservatives as old white KKK members.
You do realize that by playing the bigot card, that you are actually showing your bigotry toward Chistians. Which also makes you a bit of a hypocrite.

I think it was unwise to choose to attend that school and not expect any problems, and then exposing yourself by appearing on MTV. I also suspect ulterior, Sandra Fluke-like motives.
I hope she finds happiness some other way instead of lashing out at institutions and traditions that aren’t accepting of her lifestyle. Seems like another way to make yourself miserable.

OMG I could laugh to death. Morrissey hasn’t been relevant in 25 years or more.
Good for her. She said she wouldn’t be afraid to call out something or someone if she disagreed with them, and she’s following through with it. I could really care less what happens to/at CPAC anyway though. CPAC is really just another part of the GOP establishment.
You haven't a clue as to what you are talking about.
You might want to stop displaying your ignorance.
I think she is full of it. My gay dog Humpy has no one to speak for him, and SE just looks away, to bigger and better bandwagons. It's bad enough Humpy lost his job and had to go on pet stamps, but now he has no voice in the media at all. All Humpy wants is for someone with a huge ego and some facial recognition to speak up for his rights to hump all the other gay dogs, as is his right. Is that too much to ask? Give Humpy a voice! Humpy the gay dog has no representation!
Lots and lots of drugs flowing though the Gay Clubs....Hope she does not get gang raped....I am sick and tired of trying to protect these Ignorant women.....Sick and Tired....!!!
Just so you are clear who and where she really stands. I have no issue with disagreeing with certain view points of conservative mouthpieces, it's what makes us individuals, but what she did a couple of weeks ago was straight out of the progressive playbook and was meant to be divisive. She ran straight to the NYT and promoted an Alinsky tactic (BTW, nice of you to cover it Blaze, truth has no agenda, eh?):
“And we can’t be afraid to call out Rush Limbaugh,” said [Cupp]. “If we can get three Republicans on three different networks saying, ‘What Rush Limbaugh said is crazy and stupid and dangerous,’ maybe that’ll give other Republicans cover” to denounce the talk-show host as well."
And a lot of that went to teach Rectum Recreation as being normal, and we wonder why there are so many perverts.

I won’t buy from Government Motors or the UAW.

So pictures of people helping other people inspires rantings about the stock market and evil republicans? Well, good luck with that.

Anti competition laws crush aspiring business owners. Happens all the time.
June 8, 2012 at 3:25pm
Good for you Alabama. Agenda 21 and ICLEI are a massive threat to our property rights. My tea party group has been fighting this in our local governments. It’s not just a threat at the state or federal level, this is being implemented in counties and cities everywhere.
June 6, 2012 at 3:15pm
Well, how many people has Obama actually helped get elected? From what I remember, almost everybody he campaigned for was defeated. I’ll bet democrats are running away from the WH.
June 1, 2012 at 8:29pm
Clearly you aren’t reading it. Much of the story revolves around him living on land surrounded by people who say things like “Hi Aquaman, are you going to talk to fish today?” Then he gets to go out and save them from some disaster and act like a hero. If you don’t care or don’t follow or don’t know anything other than the name, then you’re exactly the type of person to get all outraged over a minor league nobody character being gay.
June 1, 2012 at 2:19pm
Actually, Aquaman is one of DC’s better titles right now.
This has managed to actually piss off everyone. Long time comic fans don’t like seeing 70 year old characters getting re-imagined every year. Non comic fans think the DC universe is turning gay. Gay fans can’t believe DC hyped up such an insignificant character to turn gay.
