  • This is a perfect example of the ignorance that permeates the leftist movement. This person explains that it was logical to “assume” that Wallace was a Republican, but I would ask, based on what? Based on history, based on facts? Of course not, because if facts and history were the basis of the assumption, it would be logical to assume that a racist southern governor in the 1960′s would be a Democrat.

So why did this person think that Wallace = Republican would be a safe assumption? Because that’s the paradigm where he’s been taught to live, and he’s happy to be there. The leftist elite class, those whom this person looks up to as his betters, have pounded into him over the years that Republicans are racist, sexist, homophobes, islamaphobes, etc, etc, and he simply accepts these things as fact without ever digging deeper, and due to his level of intelligence, it’s actually quite easy. Opposed to affirmative action? You’re a racist. Want to overhaul an obviously insolvent Medicare and Social Security system? You hate old people. You get the picture. The above commenter doesn’t even realize what a simple little tool he his.

  • The homeowners shouldn’t be “required” to have anything of the sort. If they don’t have insurance and their house gets washed away, then they no longer have a house, end of story. That’s how responsibility works.

  • Northeastern “republicans” aren’t. They’re db libs to the rest of us, and Christie is no exception. Lashing out at people only works if you have a point to make, nonsensical crap not so much. Christie made his bed, which is in New Jersey, and that’s where it’ll stay.

  • That’s cool, I really don’t have a problem with natural selection.

  • That’s the first thing that occurred to me, too. It’s pretty obvious that someone grabbed a gun and told him to shoot it for the camera. And not only is Skeeter shooting at a bad angle, even the way he’s aiming it isn’t skeet.

  • Many of you completely miss the point on “gun control”. You have to think outside of the box, think like a _progressive_ elitist, that kind of out of the box.

They know they can do nothing about guns or handguns or assault rifles, any more than they can deport millions of Mexicans. This whole thing is about instantly making a large criminal class out of a huge portion of their political opponents. There’s tons of power there, man.

  • I live in Pierce County, (Tacoma) am 53 years old, and am a staunch suburban conservative. I haven’t smoked pot for about thirty years, and really don’t plan on taking it up. However, as a young man, I did smoke casually, and it didn’t lead to anything other than a pickup hoop game in the driveway, or perhaps throwing the frisbee down at Point Defiance. The amount of money thrown at a non-existant problem is astounding, entire public sector careers and industry depend on this stupid “war on drugs”.

I did vote in favor of legalization, because it’s time to stop pretending.

  • The United States of America has the most awe inspiring military traditions. We revere our military, and that’s not the norm worldwide. Additionally, I’ll add this:

While making a port call once in Portsmouth, England aboard the Forrestal back in the 80′s, I and a couple of others ran into a guy who made some not-so-well disguised snide remarks regarding America’s lack of history compared to Europe. My chief reminded this fellow that the USA is the oldest country among modern nations, something I’d not considered; our government precedes any other, while others have had revolutions and peaceful change, our government has remained unchanged since the The Constitutional Convention.

  • Biden was the obnoxious regular at the bar, Martha the bartender, and Ryan the guy just passing through that she doesn’t have to cater to.

  • Nice job, doll. It was heartwarming to watch the youthful innocence, and the goal achieved.
