  I think the low turnout were all the Ron Paul people who now have elected Barack Obama. And we are supposed to listen to his son? He’s a big corporation/establishment Republican it sounds like to me. He has misinterpretted this election and has become an opportunist.

  A guy loses by a mere 2% against a very popular president who is known for being a good campaigner and that’s about it– and Republicans are about to sell their values and get on the “shallow and cheap” bus. Changing policies that are wise- like not rewarding those that broke the law- is important. Reagan rewarded those breaking the law, and look what we are doing now- same thing. It just perpetuates law breaking and leads to the demise of public services who are expended on those that aren’t paying in. If we have a picnic and only a few bring food, and 1000s more show up to eat, then are we going to be surprised when we don’t have anything to eat anymore. Schools, hospital care, it all has been run down by illegal immigration.

  The policy of AMNESTY is actually one against blacks, mexicans and those that take jobs in restaurants, retail, cleaning. There are a lot of people out there that want these jobs now. Giving amnesty takes the right for citizens to get these jobs. Citizens better think long and hard giving up jobs they may never get back. Hard times are coming and without these jobs, people will be hurthing more. So most Americans oppose a flux of illegal population into our country. These Republicans- like Bush and Rove- are for big business and Corporations– so these corporations can go ahead and keep their illegal workers. That is why they want it!   People just were more familiar with Obama than Romney- and after Bush’s comments in 2008 leaving office- were afraid. They don’t understand it was liberals that led to the demise. It’s a simple lack of knowledge.

  So what lost this election? It wasn’t Romney- he was a fine and intelligent candidate.It was that the RNC aren’t educating every day of each year.We have 3 million plus we need to educate– and reach.The RNC should be doing that right now- showing conservative principles work and protect this country.So it wasn’t Romney, it was the RNC thinking it could win an election in 5 months against someone that was running for 6 years!!! Romney did a good job considering!!   No. Abandon principles for what, winning elections? That doesn’t work- because if you lose what you really believe in is right and the best for society, what are you doing? Should we say that molestation is ok because there are people who want to do it? Or drunk driving is alright because people drink and need a way home?

  It makes no sense to abandon principles that are well-founded and wise. Re gay marriage: Love everyone. That doesn’t mean we need to call a union between same sex people a marriage.

  But get back to what matters- the federal government needs to focus on teh big things and not these little things. So do gay people– get the rights and call it what you want. If the rights are the same– the gays should concede it doesn’t matter what you call it. The reason most are against is — keep your sexual stuff to yourself. You don’t need to flaunt it– those that are married don’t need to flaunt it either. Personally, I just don’t think it was intended because the body parts don’t fit. Same sex unions don’t natually produce children- no natural procreation. It’s the fact that most gay people don’t want to see. So call it something different, is union that much worse word than marriage? gays need to stop focusing on themselves so people don’t get so annoyed– not everyone needs to get “married”– how about making up your own word so you can all be unique? but quit trying to impose you views and values on others. people should be free

  We need to fight for life in our churches. We need to reach out and educate. Expecting that prolife platform will do any good until we are able to reach the heart of women and men isn’t realistic. Our stand for life should be everyday and in everything we do, everything we watch on T.V. If we support life then don’t support programs on television that promote sex and babies out of wedlock. We know that cheating and unwed abortions are more than all else.

  I think that the party can be for life, but until the hearts of people are changed (which isn’t the job of the government but of the church and individuals) we shouldn’t harp on this subject or try to run on this as a huge issue or platform. We support life. We are not for abortion. We do not believe that government should support abortion or people’s money and tax money fund something that they don’t believe in. As women’s hearts are turned and as we fight this every day we won’t have to fight this every 4 years- or not have a fight at all.

  Women are killing their own babies. Let’s keep showing how much regret is there- this is not the job of a political party- but life-celebrating women and men, fathers who never have a choice, children who never have a choice to live. We need to not put the Republican candidate in the position to fight a fight in 6 months that must be fought for every day at the personal level– of the heart!Things will change then.

  Why big corporations want ILLEGAL immigrantion: They pay illegals less and make more money.

  Why American citizens should be against it: We are paying aid for people who could be working these jobs and supporting themselves instead of the taking taxpayer money. Citizens need to work first so we don’t have to spend on entitlements and can all work to bring down the deficit.

  Kraut, you make no sense and are a sellout. I like you, but you are so wrong and opportunistic on this point. Why would Latinos really want so much more illegal immigration if it puts their jobs at risk too? Too many people looking for work and a lot more to choose from MEANS THEY DON’T GET AS MUCH WORK! Kraut. just say it- you are a sell out on principles. Shame on you- I thought you were better than to be an opportunistic commentator. You take a close loss and spin it to mean conservatives are wrong on the issues. NO, it just means that more people felt comfortable for one reason or another voting for Obama. And this was really probably about popularity- about knowing this guy for 6 years and then a guy you have only known for 5 months comes along. A lot of people didn’t ditch their friend of five years- Obama. It was familiarity and popularity. NOthing more. It was the Democratic machine and a un-oiled Republican machine. I mean the Republicans didn’t even have good telephone numbers they could give Mitt’s crew. Bad number=no contact.

  Obama won because he was popular & he had a 4 year machine on the ground. 48 to 50 is a close race. We don’t change principles just because we lose by 2! Most americans don’t want illegals in this country/amnesty-we having shut down hospitals/ and allowing illegals to take jobs that americans want and are looking for. Jobs taken in construction rebuilding from katrina by illegals hurt whites and blacks needing work. Citizens!!!! Do we care about citizens!!?!!
  Romney couldn’t go up against a machine that was running for 5-6 years before the 08 election. Kraut is wrong and opportunist-he likes big business who likes cheap labor- illegals. Kraut is exploiting a loss to push agenda of establ. Big corps in prty.
