Yup….this guy irks me to no end. Nothing like his father Charles Stanley who I greatly respect. All about money and making everyone feel comfortable in the pew. Can’t say anything that might drive away some people who don’t want to hear about sin…God forbid. “I’m alright, you’re alright”. “You too can be happy”.

Christ said we would be persecuted for His name. Didn’t think it would ever happen here in America. The liberal left is looking to banish Christianity from this country.

I certainly don’t think the question is pointless…it’s an age old question, but the argument is pointless. Both sides come to the table with presuppositions and worldviews already FIRMLY in place so neither side will change the others mind. Both are operating with a starting point of Faith. This guy in the article even admits himself….”he just doesn’t know”…”science is working towards finding the answer”. Well, what if it doesn’t? That’s faith.

The difference is the Christian view doesn’t deny the faith aspect involved. The evolutionist will ALWAYS deny faith in their theory because then they tread into religious waters, which they never want to do. But the fact is, they have a presupposition just like the creationist does. The other fact is, the evolutionist cannot scientifically recreate in a lab the origin of the universe…can’t be done and they know it.

I’m assuming the mother gave permission for her daughter’s pic to be posted and the other family didn’t???? Simple as that….

I think you are taking an extreme position in reaction to an extreme position. Actions have consequences. No, it’s not right if she were raped (I have questions about that myself). Eventually, given enough occurrences of going out and drinking at age 14, this will happen. Not saying it’s right, but it will happen. Just like drinking and driving has consequences…sometimes. A ton of people get away with it, some don’t. The problem is, in RAPE cases, the question HAS to be asked, was she asking for it? In this case, I have no clue. Take the Kobe case….did he rape her??? I think we all know he didn’t….she claimed it though.

Ugh…so sorry for that. My two daughters are almost 12…scarred to death of the decisions they’ll make putting them in these compromising situations.

Awful for your nephew but again, this is the fire people play with now days in an open sex environment. You know what one reason, not the main reason is why I’ve never cheated on my wife??? Being accused the next morning of rape!! Who in their right mind would meet someone and instantly sleep with them??? But it goes on ALL the time out here. Playing with fire.

I agree. One sided story at this point. But the lesson is: young teenage girls, find your security in your parents, siblings and friends. Young men, keep your load in your pants and you don’t have to worry about being labeled a predator or actually committing a stupid crime.

Sadly, this same story happens all the time in America. Take it from someone who works in the legal field, rape is soooo hard to prove. Clearly this girl made terrible choices and/or was so insecure that she felt she had to run to this guy in the middle of the night…even though he was 18 and she was 13. Clearly they were texting back and forth before this incident and it was probably sexual in nature (safe to say). Alcohol was involved.

I know this isn’t the popular answer but it’s very possible that BOTH thought sex would be involved when she went over there. We may never know but girls regret this stuff all the time waking up the next morning and then it’s on law enforcement to try and prove forcible rape when all you have is he said she said. I’m disappointed the authorities didn’t at least follow through with some lesser charges. Poor choices by everyone involved.

I wouldn’t have. That guy would have ended up, at the very least, in an ER room.

  • July 28, 2013 at 11:00am

Exactly….and these same morons would turn a blind eye to government over reach and abortion….but God forbid we watch a whale learn something on its own at Sea World.

Good grief….what a bunch of idiots at that show ….”the dolphin!!!!” Lol

Lol….hey I like my beer too….I just don’t use them as dumb bells.

Well, this is nothing new. I’m a workout freak and my wife sells SABA products that include weight loss and energy pills. You’d have to be a fool to think that there is a magic pill out there that allows you to sit around, drink beer, watch soaps, and develop a six pack all at the same time. My wife is clear, as is her company, that the pill alone is not enough….it’s simply an aid or catalyst. But you’d be stunned at the amount of fools out there.

But that would require common sense, which Libertarians seem to loose from time to time also. Call it “unconstitutional” all you want, no one has a case against this cop. He followed the law that’s on the books…you don’t like it, change it but this kid won’t win a dime off this jurisdiction.

  • July 12, 2013 at 1:51pm

Most of the tinfoil hats here go way beyond how you just put it….look through any article on police here and you’ll find all of these key words….Hitler, Nazi, Germany, Communism, tyranny, revolt, just to name 5%….I really wish anyone who posts that nonsense had actually been born a Jew in Nazi Germany…they deserve it.

  • July 12, 2013 at 1:49pm

God bless you Libertarians….worrying so much about the police in this country and comparing the current state to Nazi Germany (while Obama, because of you, gets elected to office for 8 years….) Bravo Libertarians….keep up the fight!!!

You guys get 5% of the vote or less and all one needs to do is read these comments here to figure out why….maybe if libertarians thought a little more before voting we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in today.
