Our household has always enjoyed you on FNC because you never cease to put a smile on our faces. It breaks our hearts to know you and your family have lost someone so near and dear to yours, and have taken away your beautiful smile. Please accept our sincere sypathies, and know that we will pray for God to continue to give you the strength you showed in your post, and continue to bless you with the wonderful memories you will share with your children of their father. We love you.

I must hang out in the wrong circles since I’ve never heard of her before. She must have local, and not national fame.

What a breath of fresh air this young lady is!! I wish there were more young people like her….of any color, or sex!!

I cannot figure out why those so set against religion do not see that they are direct beneficiaries of a society that adheres to the Ten Commandments, as well. Even a “little” commandment like “Thou shall not bear false witness…” It is becoming increasingly more difficult to navigate the trials of living when lying is becoming so acceptable from within the family to the leadership of our nation!

If they removed all of the laws written since the last amendment to the Constitution and enforced what it provided, we would be a much happier, productive, and united country! Oh, but, I forot….that isn’t their plan!

This was a fabulous and truthful comment! To Miss Haynes,I would only add that they are hoping to squelch some of your strengths and come back inline. I hope you don’t give in to them! Like SSaC, we have lots of room for someone like you with the conservative movement :-) God Bless you :-)

    Yes, they were!

I think you are so wrong! Read my post above!

For whatever reason I could not edit this to include at the end of the first paragraph, I add it here.
As long as DC thought their collective a**es were on the line after 911, they were in favor of everything! But, when it appeared that Bush was going to have a legacy that would keep them at bay for a few election cycles, they had to change the narrative. Enter the lie about there being no wmds, and I wondered why they had removed the chemical weaponry from that definition. I thought they were redefining it to be nuclear only. They are truly creeps, and we need to find the way to remove all who were involved!

I have been reminding people for years that they most certainly DID find wmds after we got into Iraq! Ricin, Sarin(sp), anthrax, and I believe yellow cake (which was on its way to Canada) that I heard about. I figured what we came to be hearing was all due to the left’s redefining what was considered to be wmds! What a bunch of low lifes!!
And, while I am venting, I might add that I still think the move on Iraq was one of the most sensible military moves we made! You cannot win a war in Afghanistan!! We had to know that from the Russian’s experience! But, Iraq allowed us to “kill two birds with one stone”. We could draw the terrorists to a better fighting locale, which we did, and take care of the problem which the UN Inspectors could not do! Once upon a time, you could get the reports off the UN site that showed just how much stuff had yet to be uncovered that Iraq had reported it had. No one, was doing a thing to get this stuff taken care of, and the move into Iraq was helping to resolve that issue, as well!

If the World Health Organization were worth anything, it would have, could have, and should have quarantined the countries that have active ebola cases within their borders until they could show they had no new cases for 30days.. And, now, we can join the ranks! :-( We take more care of our children’s chicken pox epidemics! What a bunch of overeducated idiots!

And the blame should be placed on……the one piece of the equation without which it is literally impossible to go on a shooting rampage…………wait for it………..the crazy person!
Because, no sane person would ever kill another human being without just cause, whether it be with a car, a knife, a pillow, a hammer, a bat, or the very most evil, the gun!

  • [23] May 28, 2014 at 1:49pm

Easy access to guns IS a problem! However, it is only a problem for sane, law-abiding persons! :-( The criminal and the nut job never seem to have a shortage of places or persons who will get one for them.
In this case, however, even laws that you want in place didn’t work! Why? Because someone didn’t get the nut case’s name on the do not sell to list. In other words, it wasn’t enforced. Oh, I think that works the same way for the criminals, too, doesn’t it?
MY constitutional rights are NOT collective. They are mine, and belong to me. You can have yours be collective if you would like, but mine are mine, and I promise you, I will not, unless you give me just cause, go past your nose!

I am sure the “Frahnch” government exempted themselves from the speedlimit, otherwise the citizens could have hoped for a quick turnaround of that law.

If I hadn’t run out of room on my previous post, I would have added….
These children are not allowed to be “kids” anymore, have family time, and just be able to expel energy. Homework was a very rare occurance until 7th or 8th grade, and saved for what couldn’t be accomplished during the class time. I was lucky, and so were my 2 older children. The youngest 2 lost out, and my grandchildren, are losing out! Basics should be just that, not some of this garbage they are trying to cram into a school day.

I do not know why some people think we have to try to re-invent the wheel! “Once upon in time” in the “olden” days….Math was learned by memorizing the basic, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts. No way around it!
We learned to read with phonics. You cannot memorize the identity and meaning of every word in our language! Spelling (you know that passe subject that makes written communication easier, even with spell check) was built upon weekly with the new words from our readers, and learning little formulas like “i before e, except after c, or when it sounds like a, as in neighbor and weigh.
    The list goes on…..
But, somethings were certain to occur most every week of the school year…every Monday you got the new math problems to memorize, the new spelling word list, and your assignments for what would be happening in all other classes, etc. On Wednesday, there was a pretest in Math and Spelling, and on Friday was the weekly tests. These took next to no time, and told the teacher and parents a lot about your ability to learn in a basic manner (memorization) Once a month, we had the big 100 word, 100 problem tests, and that showed if you were retaining/improving. Other subjects, like reading, social studies, geography, history, etc. would have Chapter tests. (oh, and the teacher actually used that time instead of needing a planning period or in service day)
Weekly tests should just be a part of the school week. Not like the SATs!

Harkin needs to be removed from office along with many others, a big red T placed on his shirt until the verdict is in.
I feel for you countrypatriot. A lot of NEbraskans felt the same way about Benny Boy NELSON! Perhaps we can hire a one way jet for the lot of them :-)
