  • This Is How Your Brain Reacts During Intense Prayer

    October 22, 2012 at 11:31am

    In reply to jcldwl.

@foxhole – That would be sick people who don’t understand Christ’s teaching.

What part of the brain is active when someone is not talking, but just listening/processing language? That would be interesting as well.

I believe in God, so take my following hypothesis in that light.

If God exists and He performs an action and that action was observable/measurable, it would not serve to prove/disprove His existence. Believers will see it as confirmation. non-believers will see it as a physical phenomena and insist that believers have “created” God.

My long standing hypothesis is summed up by a statement in this article: “its real, at least neurologically”.

  • People who find this ad hateful enough to incite violence or riots need to be locked up straightaway! The only people who will find this ad that offensive are the Muslim extremists and their supporters.

I say, leave the ads up and arrest anyone who becomes violent or riots!

  • When the crazy man shot Gabby Giffords, the Libs immediately looked to blame conservatives. Tried to use it as leverage for gun control.

If that line of thinking is correct, then Obama – she shouldn’t be burdened with a baby, and the liberal establishment should be the ones charged with murder and child abuse. And we should use it to lobby for laws that restrict law makers from making irresponsible statements like that!

In God’s eyes, do you think this 14 yo girl will be held fully accountable for this? We don’t know, but my heart says No. When society teaches her sex is for fun, babies aren’t living (even partial birth abortion is ok!) and no one is responsible for their own actions…God will punish that society – hold her role models accountable. Who is standing up for truth in this girl’s life?
How could she be full term pregnant and her parents not know?

So sad on so many levels. God bless that lost soul and may God grant her forgiveness and a new opportunity to put her life in order.

  • Journalist Lays Out Evidence for Noah’s Ark in New Book

    In reply to Hannibal_32.

    It comes down to this.
Premise: science is, at its most basic level, a group of theories based on the best measurements of observation possible. Then if a self fulfilling model is created that has some accurate predictive truth, it is bottled and sold as Truth. In science, the equation must always work. The numbers on both sides of the = must be = (hence the self fulfilling prophecy) and any other possibility is unobservable and therefor cannot be science nor discussed in scientific terms.
Logic A – because religion directly addresses (and accepts) the unobservable and unmeasurable as “evidence” the two will never agree.
Logic B – because of human error in interpretation of both scientific and religious data, the two will never agree (Christian insisting that Creation happened in a certain way, for example, is an error on Christian’s part – God did not write a detailed description of creation simply because it is NOT important for salvation)

    Observations
    1) If there is a god (I believe there is) then whatever method of creation He used, then the Physical side of what he did can be observed (DNA structure, for example) while the spiritual side cannot (Divine origin, Soul, pan-dimensional intelligence, etc) Just because it can be observed or measured does not mean its origin was not divine.
    2) If there is NO God, but string theory is true. Then there is a God.
    3) If there is No God, then what is the basis of morality and why does it require persecution of those th

  • @foxhole I have experienced miracles that defy the laws of physics.

And what is SCIENCE? All it is, is measurement of what you can observe! And what about the things you are (yet) incapable of measuring? By definition, science must ignore them. That does not mean they do not exist.

Based on your level of arrogance and persistence, you either once relied on God (capitalized for respect) and was let down – or you were forced into religion and hated it.

I suspect that deep down you know God and must vehemently deny him to assauge your own guilt. I have dealt with many of your type and know, by experience, the moral rot you vent.

Begone or show us your true wrath. You are from a generation of thieves and liars.

  • VAMAN, I’m not sure where you took Biology, …

“At conception, 2 cells becoming 1 does not make a person.” This is a question of semantics maybe, but actually, 2 cells becoming 1 is the only way to make a person. You’re saying those 2 cells aren’t quite a person yet. But they will be!

“And really, you can’t be for abortion, endless wars and the death penalty. By the logic of some, they all involve killing people, innocent or not, but abortion seems to be the only bad one.”

I think most people would disagree.
We don’t desire to go to war. We wish that making laws would be sufficient to create a society where people don’t fight. Its their immoral activity (usually) that moves America to fight. Barring our Govt lying to us about motivations, I think that is true!

SO, in summary, the things that CAUSE war are illegal and bad.
90% of why people get abortions should be illegal and are immoral and bad.
Death penalty? If the people decide there are crimes so Heinous that justice is only begun to be served by the death of the individual, then so be it. BUt let that society also be one that believes – sincerely – in “innocent until proven guilty”.

  • Derpina seems like a bitter and angry person.

I’ve gone and posted on the huffington post before. I read the comments there and I’ll tell you…those guys are just as mean spirited, angry and hateful as the worst people I’ve ever met. There’s a pretty large following on the blaze that seems decent – albeit, rather upset – in how they deal with the Destruction of the USA by BHO.

Derpina, if we aren’t to follow the bible, because it endorses slavery (not really), then whose are we to follow? Aristotle and Plato? They had slaves and believed in genocide!

  • Hypocrisy much?

I’d be interested in seeing GB’s file too. As well as Obamas…and authority to do something about it.

  • I had the opportunity to be cast in this and turned it down (was too busy). I would have just been an extra…zombie for the gun fodder. Now i kinda wish I’d done it. No idea this was the movie/plot.

The only thing better then killing a despot once, is killin’ em twice!

  • If they give me $15k I’ll let them watch me for 24/7 while I buy $15k in weapons and network security gear, right before I turn off all my google accounts and disappear off the grid. ROFL.
