Church: Son of Influential Pastor Rick Warren Has Committed Suicide

Becky – I see you have no concept of what Depression does to you.
I eat a healthy balanced diet that fits both in the recommendations for both the “Heart Healthy” and “Diabetic Friendly” diets. I exercise for an hour a day, five days out of the week. I am considered a “Strict Control” Diabetic because I have diligently maintained my A1c (a measure of long-term glucose control) at the top of the normal range.
I don’t use alcohol, tobacco products, or illegal drugs of any kind.
Selfish? I don’t think so. I didn’t just sign-up one day for Depression. It came to me in the form of an IED worn around the waist of a young woman’s robes, compounded by the dead bodies of friends and the shrieking of those ONLY wounded. I was the leader of our band of merry men, but I didn’t even get scratched. My best friend was dead before I ever got to him. Somehow, I’ve never imagined that as being selfish. My bad.
My wish for you is that you live in dull, not interesting, times – as opposed to the Chinese curse of “May you live in interesting times”. Interesting as translated by the Chinese to mean a time of continuous troubles and tribulation.
As far as you are concerned I may be living a life filled with selfish, unhealthy habits. Please share with me what you think I can do to re-balance the chemical changes to my brain?
Church: Son of Influential Pastor Rick Warren Has Committed Suicide
April 7, 2013 at 6:06pm
@SENDTHEMETEORS and others who commented on suicide,
” Suicide is often an impulsive act” is true, but it’s an act that builds over a long period of time – it just looks impulsive.
I have battled Severe & Chronic Depression for over eight years. It was introduced to my by its buddy, PTSD. Depressives often wear a mask of “I’m Normal, Don’t worry about me”. I did. Like the Pastor’s son, I tried everything & every medication & every combination of psych meds in the psych toolbox. After 2 years of experimentation, my doc found a combination that worked, mostly. I take the maximum dose of the post powerful anti-depressant on the market AND the max dose of the second most powerful, a medium dose of the second most powerful anxiety drug & a medium dose of the first medication ever approved for depression.
I’m an Insulin dependent Diabetic, the means of suicide is always in my refrigerator.
Even with all those meds, there are days when I feel there is no purpose in my life except to suffer.
I have discussions with liberals who won’t agree with anything I stand for politically, but have wished me well in my battle, I accept their wishes. A large number of them have added me to their prayers – I accept those, too. I need all the help I can get.
Sympathy, empathy, prayers or well wishers, I welcome them all. What I won’t accept are the ones who offer me pity. Pity is the refuge of those who’ve had no experience with the rough bumps of life, or they deny there are ro

Just how many gunfights have you been in? Shooting at a target on a gun range is NOTHING like shooting in an adrenaline charged situation at a living human.
The first problem most citizens make is not thinking before the situation arrives. You need it etched into your psyche that you are going to kill another human being. If you don’t you will be instantly flooded with questions, “He has a gun. Do I need to give him first shot? Oh, cr@p! He’s getting closer! I’ll have to shoot …..” Your adrenaline has you so pumped your arm will jerk up and your first round will go in the ceiling. The recoil from the .357 kicks the weapon up, pointing over his head. You jerk it down & your second round goes in the floor. You have to practice the mind-set with your weapon at the range. Target @ 10′, gun at your side. Turn and empty your weapon @ the target. Are they all in? Do I need a different weapon?
This assumes that the gun criminal is a rookie. A seasoned criminal will never allow you a third shot. You will be face down on the floor. Dead. You might not even get a 2nd round off
Have you thought about your neighbors safety? Your .357 round could go through your walls, all of your neighbors walls and end up three houses away – assuming no one was to get in front of your .357.
My home protection weapon of choice is a 20 gauge pump shotgun. When a criminal hears that “rick-rack” sound, his first thought is, “Diarrhea! I picked the wrong house & I ain’t hangin’ here. Feet, don

Another thing regarding this Dumbocrat that she doesn’t know (and doesn’t care if she knows, or not) is that the average interaction time between a criminal and a victim is 90 seconds just for a grab and run.
Imagine the call is made exactly as the criminal comes in. He’s gone in 90 seconds.
You wait.
You wait another12 minutes and thirty seconds for a response (assuming instantaneous conversation between victim and criminal (Rrrrriiiiggghht!) and instantaneous dispatch from 911 Operator DPD patrol).
If the criminal shot you, you could bleed out and be dead by the time DPD got to you.
This Rep Doesn’t represent people in Colorado’s First District, she can’t. She’s an alien from a different universe.

For every one who says, “It can’t happen”, please go back and read what the representatives of Hundai had to say.
QUOTE: It is extremely unlikely ….. END QUOTE
They didn’t say, “It’s impossible”. While I’m not an expert on spin-speak, it seems awfully convenient “Extremely unlikely …..” was their comment.
Another point that wasn’t covered is when being followed by HWY Patrol, did the officer note any break lights being on?
Putting the parking brake on while traveling at 100+ MPH would only slow the car down for a short while. Parking brakes are not designed to overcome the momentum of 1,000′s of pounds of automobile traveling at 113 MPH.
Every time a computer device takes over from a manual control, I wait at least two years before even considering purchasing the new “computer assisted” model.
I’ve worked with computers since “bugs” were actually bugs – spiders, flies, roaches, etc., and you had to actually write a program and then punch the cards to run a tiny 1K program. The more complex the programs have become, the more opportunity there is for a problem to arise.
When the industry got beyond Basic++, I moved into an administrative position. I can still poke around in some programs and change COMMAND Lines, it is like going back to school and instead of being an advanced student, I am the class dunce. That sucks …..!
Bizarre: Catholic Hospital Argues That 7-Month-Old Fetuses Aren’t ‘Persons’ in Wrongful-Death Legal Battle
January 25, 2013 at 3:45pm
Bill of Rights — Amendment I to the Constitution of the United States:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ……….”
Article II, Colorado Bill of Rights
“Section 4. Religious freedom. The free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and worship, without discrimination, shall forever hereafter be guaranteed …..”
A couple of points here that seem to be missing. The First Amendment to the Federal Constitution clearly states that no law can be made “prohibiting the free exercise thereof (religion)”. Believing life begins at conception are among the beliefs of all Christians, not just members of the Catholic church. Requiring that a Church based hospital be required to commit abortions is a violation of Constitutional Rights, as is requiring business owners who are Christians to provide health insurance that pays for abortions, abortifacient, etc. Requiring that persons of the Christian religion commit acts that are directly against their beliefs is obviously Unconstitutional.
The Colorado Constitution, likewise, is plain when it states, “The free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and worship, without discrimination, shall forever hereafter be guaranteed”.
In both cases, establishment of a law that requires Christians to violate their beliefs is illegal.
As concerns the argument that “fetuses aren’t persons” by an extension of the Catholic church is an EGREGIOUS act

With the exception of the shooting in the grocery store parking lot where Gabrielle Gifford was shot,
every mass killing in the United States has occurred in a “Gun Free Zone”.
I doubt you could find two liberals in the United States who would believe you, but if they are so fixed in their mindset about guns, challenge them to find a single incident, other than the Gifford’s shooting, where the shooting was in a “carry” location.
In the past five days I have shared this information with various lib-tards. Mostly their comments have been, “Well, that’s just not true” or “You’re just making that up”. Not a single one has bothered to check.
Facts make them more than nervous. They act as if they can find a large enough turtle shell or find some sand where they can hide their head, everything will be just fine.

Written exactly how I would expect a member of the agnostic “religion” to write.
The fact you have no “religion” makes it a religion you preach to others. A religion of nothingness, a religion of no faith.
You have the gall to preach this religion of nothingness & want us to believe only when all religions, except your religion of nothingness, a religion of no faith, is left that all the problems of the world will be solved. Right.
Merely “preaching” your religion renders you impotent, except among those who are as emotionally empty and logically incompetent. Your actions contrary to Agnosticism. Agnostics say there is no scientific proof there is any higher authority, and thus religions have no basis in fact. If They have no basis in fact, how can you prove there is a basis for agnosticism which preaches “nothingness”?
Additionally, I dispute your claim, & that of all your kith and kin, there is no scientific proof of a higher power. Two things, both scientifically proven, argue for the existence of a higher power then man.
#1. Scientists have proven at the moment a person dies, the body lightens by a measurable amount & a small amount of energy leaves the body. If there was nothing, the body weight would remain stable.
#2. Also scientifically proven is directed prayer increases a person’s chance of living by 30-40%. Those praying evidence no sign of energy leaving – those prayed for evidence no sign of energy being infused. Ignoring fact doesn’t make it not
HBO Host Bill Maher Calls Iconic Singer a ‘Teabag Idiot’
December 9, 2012 at 6:09pm
BillMouth-er hasn’t got the sense of fecal matter from a horse. His mind is so totally focused on a persons political identity he lets it interfere with the rest of his life.
I cannot abide the politics of certain performers, but they have other qualities that they are better known for than politics. One that comes to mind is Barbara Streisand. She is so far left I can’t see her when I’m looking over my left shoulder. But she was given a talent by God for singing. I have albums of her music, but that doesn’t make me a leftist or a ((shudder)) LIBERAL.
Maher’s real talent is in opening his mouth and letting what ever bit of garbage that is in his mind just spew.
I wonder how he thinks about Big Bird now. Probably wants the pervert on a pedestal. I’m Bill would think it a perfect place for a perv.
High-Tech ‘Granny Pods’ Allow Elderly Family Members to Live Comfortably in a Backyard Cottage for $125K
November 27, 2012 at 11:50pm
I live in an older neighborhood outside of Kansas City, We have a 1500 sq”, split level house with a built on 2 car garage. My lot is an old-fashioned Missouri lot, which means you could fit almost four lots like they have in California on my one lot. My wife and I are 66, getting up there, but we need no assistance in living – not even in driving. I can see the use of a separated space to live in, but not in a shed in the back yard.
I would rather be shot then feel like my kids and grand-kids couldn’t stand having me closer to them than this “Granny Pod”. What, I’m supposed to schedule my death so my wife is stuck in this mousetrap? No way in hell, bubba..
For about $60,000 (including permits, etc.) I could build a Grandmaster Suite with room to have a living room (full sized), a large bedroom, a large, walk-in shower and bath room, a small kitchen and eating area and a washer and dryer. Our grand-kids prefer my wife’s cooking to any they have experienced at home, and they like Grandpa’s specialties, especially his grill specials. I’m not saying my daughters can’t cook, but we only had sons. One DIL can cook a few things, luckily she’s married to the son who can cook almost as well as I (neither of us can come close to my wife, except for secret family recipes passed down from my mom). One DIL tries – but I have never looked in her refrigerator for a snack and found anything I wanted to eat. My other son? He whips up a mean salad in a bag.
No “Granny Pod
