Wrong on all counts LaughinWillow. The person who wrote the pledge, Francis Bellamy, was a socialist but he was also a Christian. He felt that patriotism in America was waning so he wrote the pledge to stir Americanism and since he was involved in the educational system, he saw that it was utilized in schools along with flags being flown from classrooms. As for the “under God”, it was proposed many times until it reached Eisenhower, who crafted a bill to add it an WITH THE PERMISSION OF CONGRESS, it was passed. Next.

What you are asking for here is to have a country that resembles….America. Can such a country still exist in today’s political climate?

For all of you ladies who are afraid of being sexually assaulted, instead of carrying a gun, just carry a picture of this crazy beyatch and hold it up to your attacker. Guaranteed they will run screaming.

Are you saying people should just stand down and let our rights be taken away? I hope that’s not what you are saying. There is a reason for the constitution. If you don’t believe that, go live in a few other countries for a while and then come back and compare.

McDonalds doesn’t serve real food. I remember when I was a kid and their burgers were about 25 cents. They were edible. I went in recently because I was in a hurry and there was no other option available for food. I couldn’t believe what I was trying to eat. Disgusting. I won’t try that again.

Fallon is a likeable guy and he does have some talent, but after Carson, they should have scrapped the show and done something completely different. He set the bar too high for the generations to follow. As for “star-studded” in the headline, a few celebrities walked out, plunked money on the desk, and walked off. End of “star-studded” story. BORING. We settle for such mediocrity on television nowadays it is hardly worth trying.

“I feel like I can’t trust my government.” Another American wakes up. It’s never too late….well maybe.

Kinda sounds like she is addressing a threat from someone who is blackmailing her. Not sure what to make of this but I wouldn’t start calling her crazy until more info is learned. Maybe a subversive organization is trying to recruit her.
Unbelievable that there are burglars in Texas. They’ve gotta be really really stupid.

They could only pull this off in NY. If it was Kentucky, there’d be a whole lot of dead zombies in that hole. :)

“Politics and misinformed arguments shouldn’t get in the way of helping our kids, businesses and country succeed.” Translation: “Common sense, knowledge of history, and patiotic parents shouldn’t get in the way of communism taking over our kids, busineses, and our country”.
The victim is lucky. But since the thieves got away, the next victim may not be. Massachusetts (where I was born) has tough laws, none of which matter to the assailants by the way. One question, how would stricter gun laws have helped this situation? You see, if the bad guys had a knife, and the woman had a gun, she would not be a victim and she would have probably saved the next one!

It should very clear that none of these people live in reality. They pretend all of their lives to be somebody else. Why do we expect them to behave “normally” in public, without a script? Yes, some can be very smart and articulate, but not the majority.
