  • I know some pharmacists that say that birth control pills are not vitamins and can have some very serious side effects. I don’t want to save taxpayer money and protect religious freedoms by making birth control OTC only to have to give that money back in increased emergency room costs because of people not knowing how dangerous birth control pills are.

News flash people. Something that prevents your body from doing what it was designed to do is going to have a lot of side effects.

  • Couldn’t Chrysler just produce a bicycle and say, “Here’s your zero-emissions vehicle California!”

  • It’s his property and he should be able to do whatever he wants with it as long as it’s legal. If the neighbors don’t like it and they feel so strongly about it then they should take it up with the owner and not get government involved. If it is so bothersome and the owner won’t budge on making changes, then take some time to pretty it up yourself. Not your responsibility you say? Well, neither is it his to make his property up to your standards of beauty.

What crime is he committing? Last time I checked, having an ugly yard is not a crime requiring government intervention.

  • “And we don’t need trillions of dollars of debt to China again, you know,”

The “again” part leads me to believe that she thinks Obama has brought us out of debt and Romney will lead us back into it. If that is a case, and she represents a proportion of the voting public, God have mercy on us.

  • So basically Chris Matthews wanted Romney to allow Obama to steam roll over him during that debate? And because he stood his ground, that makes Romney the bad guy?

Two things Chris. First, what’s wrong with being a “profit creator?” Shouldn’t creating a profit in life, whether it be in business or just in your personal finances, be everyone’s goal? Since when is it noble to be completely turned upside down financially?

Second question Chris. Can you point me to the part of the Constitution that outlines the format and proper behaviour for a presidential town hall debate? I must have missed the passage where it says the challenger is supposed to let the president walk all over him.

  • “There’s no need for anybody outside the military to have an assault weapon.”

This is what liberals don’t understand. You don’t outlaw something because you think there isn’t a need for it. If I want to go out and buy an assault rifle and use it on the firing range or just keep it in my home for whatever reason I should have the FREEDOM to do so. If I use it illegally, then charge me with a crime. Otherwise, stay out of my business and let me be FREE to spend my money on whatever hobbies I want. It’s not the government’s job to tell me what I need. Does a wine collector really need 1000 bottles of expensive wine? Does anyone really need 5+ cars? It’s a dangerous game when the government legislates based on what they think you need.

  • It’s like the teacher that says he found someone cheating on the test and will allow the person to turn himself in by the end of the school day for a lesser punishment. The teacher then gets four different people confessing even when he only saw one person actually cheat. Similarly, if someone is spooked enough by this scam email, it makes me wonder if he has a guilty conscience regarding his web browsing habits.

  • By the California legislature’s logic, anyone who has travelled to Nevada and gambled is not fit for office since gambling is illegal in California. But besides that point, it’s sad that government officials don’t understand the basic concept of state’s rights — a fundamental construct of the US Constitution.

  • To quote Yasmin Neal: “Why are you under the skirts of women? I’m sure there are other places to be.”

How else are we going to protect an innocent life from being hacked up and sucked out?

  • I can’t believe all you people who call this man and others like him “murderers.” Do you have any idea about the realities of war? It’s not like he’s taking shots at someone reading a magazine in a park on a sunny, peaceful afternoon. He’s taking down people carrying RPGs and other weapons that would otherwise be used to kill American soldiers. Snipers protect our soldiers so they have a better chance of coming home alive. Regardless of whether you think we should be there in the first place, don’t we all want our soldiers coming home alive?
