TV Show ‘Wife Swap’ Sets Up Tea Party Christian With Polyamorous Family: Guess Who Ends Up Looking Reasonable

Both families and mothers seemed equally tolerant (or intolerant, if you prefer) of the other to me. I don’t see a problem here.

Pnis: You are correct- you do have that right. Whether it’s patriotic, though, is another matter. I didn’t ask you, but I did ask George Washington. This is what he had to say on the subject: “Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness — these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens.” That’s from his Farewell Address.

Lynn, what then is your belief about women are now past childbearing age? What if they’ve been married for decades? What about young men and women who are infertile? Should they remain celibate? Should they be banned from marrying?
CNN’s Soledad O’Brien Confronts Joel Osteen on His ‘Being Gay Is a Sin’ Stance: ‘That Is the Opposite of Uplifting’
September 21, 2012 at 11:32pm
Okay, first of all, those verses don’t say that being gay is a sin. They say that same-sex *intercourse* is an abomination. It’s the sex that’s the problem there, not the attraction. Secondly, unless you’re obeying ALL the laws in Leviticus- out of curiosity, when’s the last time you made a burnt offering? -you should probably find a better example.

Atheists Praise Latest Victory: 60-Year Nativity & Religious Display Tradition Banned in Santa Monica
June 16, 2012 at 8:32am
Apparently you missed this line in the article: “In an interview with the Huffington Post, the Freedom From Religion Foundation’s (FFRF) Annie Laurie Gaylor spoke out in support of the ban, admitting that atheists exploited the system and intentionally sought to have the display removed.”
Yes, it’s their fault, by their own admission.
And don’t you think it’s a bit odd that 18 of the 21 plots were won by atheists? They stacked the deck.

Apparently you lack in reading comprehension as well, as I specifically said that I surmised you were educated. All I’m saying is that you look pretty silly accusing others of being uneducated when your typing makes you look like you never got past the fifth grade. Have a nice day. :)

Nevermind, for someone who is, I would surmise, ‘educated’, you show an amazing lack of ability to spell, punctuate, or capitalize correctly.

Actually, you’re semi-correct, Philly; obviously we agree on the ‘offense’ issue. Your example of the KKK is an excellent one. However, it’s incorrect. The KKK has the right to freedom of assembly and freedom of speech. They have the right to exercise both in the public square (and they do, with assemblies, marches, signs, etc). There have been lawsuits attempting to ban them from exercising those rights, and the courts upheld the KKK’s right to exercise their rights, disgusting and offensive as the results may be. Freedom of religion deserves no less protection.
