In a tiff with our mayor, the cops quit writing traffic tickets, barring extreme cases. Every town counts on traffic revenues, ours more than most. About 20% of local revenue is in marginal call traffic tickets.
Took about a month, but coming up short in the pocket worked.

Cell phone video, statement by the victim, by witnesses and by the cops themselves. Signed, sealed and delivered

There is no way out of this one. This is the dumbest cop ever to hold a badge. It doesn’t get any more blatant than this. This cop needs to fry
Cop needs to fry?! he will be charged no doubt ending his career and because of the fragile BLM and other sympathizers, his life is pretty much over as he knows it. Where as before he would be disciplined maybe fired and sued civilly. Now he will be made an example of because of a mistake. or perceived threat. But fry? Be still and put yourself or a family member in his shoes.
The other dumb one is his commander, who got relieved for giving investigators “misleading information” about the case, WITHOUT pay.
Even the council is talking about this one to reporters. Their scared, and should be.
My take is that the commander attempted to “redirect” and “obfuscate” in order to cover his guy’s actions, like he’s done many times before. However, because of the unrest all around, it was not going to fly this time.
The officer admitted to firing three rounds, asserting that he thought that the patient was going to shot the victim. However, they have not (nor can) explain why they hand-cuffed the victim in the shooting. Also, look at the video, if you know ANYTHING about firearms, you know that the object in the patients hands could not be REASONABLE called a firearm.

critical services do not include cable, but the others should not be able to discriminate. Cakes are not a requirement for living
