  • How in hell, does harry reid manage to occupy one of the top spots in the nations leadership. he hates good American people. he has no respect for the U.S. Constitution. he is a willful liar. how the hell does a person of that nature and character occupy one of the highest levels of leadership. Next thing you know we will find out that he isn’t even a citizen of our country… but… I’ll bet even that wont make a difference.

  • If I wanted to create new laws to eliminate hate crimes against black people, I wouldn’t refer to it as “Religious Freedom Control” unless I were out to eliminate religious freedoms. Instead, I think I would call it “Black Hate Crime Control”.

Now, if I wanted to eliminate murder and assault what would I call it? Pretty simple really, you call it what it is, “Gun Control”… wait a minute, what are we trying to eliminate again?

Since they are calling it “Gun control”, what is it that they are trying to keep from happening?

  • leave her alone, she has seen the bullets ‘implode’ for herself.

  • wow, archon, i read tom’s comment and didn’t draw that conclusion at all. your response seems rhetorical while lacking the etiquette you seen to expect.

  • firstly, it has been shown that there was no intentionally disrespectful ‘heckler’. mr. heslin posed, what the audience thought was a rhetorical question, and later realized that the father wasn’t being rhetorical but rather was actually polling the audience.

and just how long are those who didn’t lose a child at sandy hook supposed to bow their heads in respectful silence while a father of one of the victims testifies one and a half months later at a state legislative hearing on the subject in reference to certain gun control issues? at one point you are a grieving parent and at another point you are advocating a position concerning a God given right. there is a dividing line there. it’s certainly respectful (at least up to a point) to refrain from correcting a grieving parent. once it becomes an encroachment on another persons civil rights, the respectful thing to do is to answer with honest conviction.

Loriann12, if a representative is doing a good job, why should we be forced to replace him. Instead, try taking responsibility for your representative. If he sucks, remove him. Don’t even wait until his term is up, remove him a soon as possible. If he is a good representative, keep him. For the most part, all of these lousy thugs that have served past one term were RE-ELECTED by people just like you. Be honest, how many of them served extra terms against the will of their constituents? I’ll bet no more that 30 or 40% of them.
I live in the district that sends Ron Paul to congress every couple of years and I can’t imagine having to settle for someone less now. If your representative sucks for more than one term, is that his fault or your fault for re-upping him?
GOOD GOD PEOPLE, YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOUR OWN REPRESENTATIVES! Not that I kid myself into believing that it is not too late.
And that’s another thing, do you really think that the elections are honest anymore? If so then how does that same old crap get re-elected every time. Either the elections are a sham or Americans in general just don’t value freedom anymore. Think about that Loriann, surely, it has to be one or the other. Thank you for at least taking the time out of your day to voice your concerns.

  • that fact that there is a 2016 discussion proves that there is a still fundamental lack of understanding of the situation.
    - this assumes that there is no progressive safeguard in place (when in fact such safeguard has been in place since atleast 2008) to prevent a loss. and if you think im being paranoid, then consider the education system in our country. it is owned an operated by the liberals. Consider the judicial system. it is owned an operated (up the highest levels) by the liberals. consider the media… now, do you really think that the system of elections has evaded this level of incursion? wake up for own sake.
-this assumes that there will be something left to salvage 4 long progressive years from now.
-this assumes that you know what the real threats are in this world. to look to 2016 is in fact proof that you still dont recognize them now.
-this assumes they will allow people like you to have a say.

im sure we could go on and on but i think the point is already obvious to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.
