  • What happened to that big cover-up about the Benghazi emails the MSM outlets have that Glenn was supposedly going to expose? I thought he said, “I’m not bluffing.” I haven’t heard anything about it. Just curious.

  • No, you’re making the mistake. I’m smarter than many of the posters here simply because I’m smarter (which comes from being lucky genetically and hard work on my part). It has nothing to do with being a leftist; I don’t even think or classify in terms like “leftist”.

I’m merely pointing out the pot calling the kettle black — the pot being both the journalists and the commentors, and the kettle being whoever you’re choosing to demonize; you both commit grammatical errors. Stupid is stupid; it doesn’t choose sides, least of all politically. And smart is smart; no sides there, either.

No matter, the site is all about generating revenue from hits and ads, anyway, not really about providing reliable or important information. And, in return, it gives a place for people to vent about something that interests them, just like music, or sports, or restoring cars, or astronomy, or whatever. The folks here are just drawn to following politics. And sometimes it amuses me to read what some of them write.

  • Yes, I meant *of* grammar. Hey, even the best of us make mistakes. We need an edit function on this site.

  • What’s Wrong With This Anti-Romney Birther Airplane Banner?

The same thing that’s wrong with most of the comments on this site and a slew of the articles, too — lack of knowledge of the basics grammar.

  • Dear Sitdownandshutup,

I figured someone might try that argument.

Actually, if you want to go that route, according to per-theater average, the movie “Little White Lies” was #1 on Friday, with $2300 per theater, compared to Dinesh’s $2067 per theater.

Even though that is not how #1′s are determined, you and “The Blaze” are still wrong either way. Actually, you’re not wrong. You’re lying and trying to twist facts to suit your desired outcome. I’m happy for the movie’s success, but I’m not happy about the lying by this website. And I’m not happy that the people that read this website just believe what they read without checking facts.

So, there’s no need for name-calling, as you did, but you might want to do what your screen name indicates.

  • @hiswill

Oh, I see. How silly of me.

Well, in that case, after re-checking Friday’s box office, “Little White Lies” is the #1 movie in America for Friday at $2,300 per screen, compared to “2016″ ‘s $2,067.

Either way, by total Friday gross or per-theater average, “The Blaze” is lying.

  • @onesimus

You’re absolutely right. It did make a lot more per theater. (Those numbers I put up there are not explained and kind of confusing.) And I’m happy for the filmmakers for their success. I was just pointing out that the articles on this site claiming it was number one on Friday were flat out lies.

  • And here are a few more numbers, for comparison purposes.

    Fahrenheit 911

    Opening weekend: $23,920,637 (#1 rank, 868 theaters, $27,558 average) *

    Total domestic gross: $119,194,771 *

Yes, those are millions, and they are 2004 $ values.

I’m not championing Moore’s doc, I’m just putting it out there to compare with the success of this doc.

*Figures from Box Office Mojo (or can be found through any other box office tracking organization)

  • Benny Johnson writes: ” ’2016: Obama’s America’ began playing in 1,090 North American theaters on Friday and opened No. 1 at the domestic box office.”

The movie did not open at #1.
