  • Now, now you guys need a refresher on how to listen to Obama. Didn’t he say that those responsible will be “brought to justice” (Department)? Aren’t they there already?

  • TheTRUTH is this administration is either deliberately lying or deliberately incompetent. Who is looney enough to believe the latter? Who is crazy enough to not believe the former?

  • Well wasn’t that “triggered classification” racist on the part of DHS?

  • I found myself thinking in exactly these terms, also. I think that the brothers were being handled by the F B I, unbeknownst by the White House. A plot to sniff out someone whom they HAD DEEMED a terror threat was hatched against the Saudi. I think the brothers were trying to play each (their handlers vs the supposed mastermind) against the other and actually went out on their own to make these bombs while their handlers were just wanting them to flush out whom they were really after. That whom they were really after turned out to be a FOB meant they had to name the brothers who, really?, were just hanging around like they felt completely safe. At that point, the older brother contacted someone he knew and who he thought he could trust in the MIT officer, but that did not work out, obviously. Anyway, the whole story stinks and my BS radar is on high alert.

  • How many children are killed due to the cowardly drone strikes Obama personally favors? Just like the black on black violence that goes under-reported, because those kids aren’t white, we don’t need no stinkin’ laws enacted to save any of them, right?

  • Men and women are NOT equal. We were all created equally, in the biological sense. To effectuate equality, then the comparison group is “human being” so any attempt to equate man to woman, or vice versa, is an inaccurate mathematical model in the first place. I, for, appreciate and celebrate the difference of the sexes, as that is only acknowledging reality.

  • . . .as it has EVER been.

Well, then, 01, if the Government is not supposed to enforce God’s Laws, then they are not supposed to at first embrace them, e.g., DOMA (respecting of a religious belief), and then turn around and disrespect same as somehow evening out their mistake in the first place.

Leave marriage as it is LEGALLY DEFINED. Let each sovereign state decide whether they want to expand the set of couples benefited by having a legal union enumerated as “Civil Unions”, which would be the Federal Designation. Those states (the majority of which who have already rejected any redefinition of marriage) would not be required to make any concessions with regard to whom they issue marriage licenses to. Let this be the great societal experiment amongst states to see which model is able to sustain itself.

As a Christian, are any of you amenable to Civil Unions?

What happened in California should so clearly telegraph to the Supreme Court how we the people want this to go down. I have debated this for many years and actually have a pretty good handle of the legal arguments elsewhere in the blogosphere, but suffice it to be condensed here as per CA:

Some county clerks began issuing marriage licenses to same sex couples in a couple of counties. The head law enforcement officer of the state at the time refused to follow the law and tell those clerks that they had no authority for what they were doing. The legislature determined that same sex couples were not to be treated differently than heterosexual couples. The voters, we the people, basically said to the legislature, fine and dandy; just effect that without changing the definition of marriage to mean what it has always meant (historically, traditionally, etymology-wise, religiously, and legally) that marriage is as between a man and a woman. One judge decided that all of those who voted in favor of Prop 8 were bigots. Checks and balances anyone? Why this has devolved into the morass it has — when all the CA legislature had to do was to subsume the subset of marriage into the whole set of Civil Union for legal purposes — is politically based ideology that has not had the proper procedure followed from the get go.

Are Civil Unions out of the question to those of you, like me, who do not want marriage redefined

  • Not only that but to disparage those in the Senate for doing their job is dIsingenuous. The very meaning of filibuster in Senate glossary terms is “to debate at length”. WE WILL BE HEARD.
