  I see a few of you are repeating Santorum’s critique that Paul didn’t get any legislation passed. He’s mostly trying to get legislation repealed, not passed. Santorum thinks more laws equals more conservatism. No, it equals less freedom and more government.

  It’s not Paul’s fault that citizens have sent big government statists like Santorum and Gingrich to D.C. Paul takes his oath of office seriously. He didn’t play ball. He doesn’t think “politics is a team sport” as with Santorum. Paul has been swimming against the statist tide. It’s a badge of honor that he is the only one that takes his oath of office seriously.

  Getting the statists of both parties to support his bills is like trying to get vegetarians to ban vegetables. He hasn’t been the problem. Big government statists like Santorum are the problem. That’s the vast majority of Republicans in D.C.

  Stop being conned.

  And Beck has been conned….again as well. Santorum is a progressive. He believes in big government and a collusion of business and state. He believes in centralized nationalism. He believes in the Federal Reserve, paper currency, and the progressive income tax.

  He IS a fake.

  Those of you who think Gingrich is a conservative are completely delusional.

  The man is a Rockefeller Republican behind the rhetoric. When he’s not running in a GOP primary, he endorses climate change legislation, TARP, mandates on healthcare and all kinds of other things, ethanol boondoggle, and on and on.

  Newt is not a conservative federalist. He is a nationalist. He’s got a government program to fix everything. He thinks the government can centrally plan society and the economy to good effect. That’s a progressive mindset.

  Many of you don’t remember that the Contract with America only played around the edges of the New Deal/Progressive structure. And those class of ’94 members who wanted to legislate those meager measures into law were turned on by Newt. He called them “cannibals” and “extremists.” Remember?

  Newt marshalls the language of free markets and liberty in the service of expanding government.

  He’s a corporatist, not a free market guy.

  And this nonsense about the GOP establishment being against Newt because he is conservative is a hoot. They are against him because they don’t think he can win. They are against him because he will be a drag on state, local, and federal Republican candidates on the ballot.

  Newt and Romney are the same on policy. They are both statists. The difference is that Romney isn’t corrupt. Those of us with eyes know that Gingrich is.

  The only free market constitutionalist in the race is Dr. Paul.

  Gingrich employs the same tactic every time he is called on one of his moral shortcomings: he attacks the media. He knows this is a sure-fire winner with his big government supporters and even libertarians, too.

  How many wives is Gingrich up to? How much money did he steal from the tax payer? Why was he the only House Speaker in history that was brought up on criminal charges?

  What was it that his own House Republican members sought to oust him in the late 90′s?

  Why did he not follow through on the Contract with America?

  Why did Gingrich criticize those member of the class of ’94 that intended to follow through on the Contract as “extremists” and “cannibals?”

  Gingrich employs the rhetoric of free markets and liberty in the services of expanding and maintaining state power.

  How many times does this fraud get to pour honey in your ears before you wake up? It’s all rhetoric. Many of you identity R’s are being conned with vocabulary…again.

  I’ll take the real free market constitutionalist in Ron Paul.

  Beck and his evangelicals on the Blaze staff don’t like him because he refuses to base U.S. foreign policy on the wants of the Likud party in Israel.

  Glenn says he is a constitutionalist. Can Mr. Beck or his staff show me where in the Constitution that it gives the power to the federal government to take money from me to give to other countries (Israel of any other)? Foreign-aid isn’t in the Constitution. The Great Gopher is a fraud.

  The hypocrisy of big government Republicans is just as stunning. If you think it was bad when a Democrat cheated, then stop defending R’s. Usually most people don’t have the chutzpah to ask for an “open marriage.” Gingrich will say and ask for anything evidently.

  It always amuses me that party drones always resort to the same defense when one of their big govenrment heroes gets caught. They blame the victim or the accuser; they blame a vast left/right-wing conspiracy; they talk about how long ago it was; they blame the media.

  Gingrich is a statist. That’s why I won’t vote for him. I already knew that the man doesn’t have morals.

  Here’s some more reasons not to vote for this fraud.

  When some of the Class of 1994 wanted to follow through on the promises of Contract with America, Gingrich abandoned them. It seems he wasn’t serious. It was just a way to get power. He even called real conservatives like Joe Scarbrough “extremists” and “cannibals” for wanting to follow through with the Contract. Some of you need to be reminded of this history, or you never knew it at all.

  Gingrich has a government program for everything. He doesn’t take Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution to heart. He is a centralizing nationalist just like his hero FDR. He doesn’t care anything about the Tenth Amendment.

  Gingrich has proposed no real cuts. No proposed elimination of unconstitutional govt. dept. No talk of changing the monetary system.

  Chris Christie is a joke. He is just one more statist.

  I know that because he endorsed Romney. That tells me all I need to know.

  What’s Christie’s position on the unconstitutional Federal Reserve system? On unconstitutional paper currency? Does he think that the Federal Reserve can centrally plan the economy?

  I know that the statist Christy said that the inflation rate was 0% about a year ago. LOL! Yeah, according to the Ministry of Truth. The real inflation rate has been closer to 10% for years. Maybe Christie let’s his butler do the shopping?

  What’s Christie’s position on foreign policy? I can only assume that it is a Wilsonian foreign policy given that he endorsed Romney.

  What about federalism versus nationalism? Is Christy a 10th Amendment man? I doubt it. Why? He endorsed Romney.

  There isn’t a dime’s worth of difference between Republican establishment drones like Gingrich, Christy, Romney, and Santorum. They whip less that brights up into a frenzy with issues like abortion, drugs, gay marriage, etc. NONE of those issues are federal issues. They are local issues. If you claim to be a constitutionalists, you can’t support national laws in those areas. If you want them to be national issues, advocate a constitutional amendment. Beck ignores the Constitution on this point.

  Most of you don’t understand that conservatism is at its core federalism. If that is understood, most of you aren’t conservatives. You are nationalists or statists.

  Wait, I am confused–WHICH ex-wife is this? How many is he up to?

  I don’t know if this is true. The Cain stories were true though, and I seem to recall that many of you used the same tactics to defend him as you are now with big government Gingrich. It’s always the media’s fault when a big government Republican gets caught with his pants down.

  If you read through the Toffler’s book (Third Wave), they advocate that open marriages and infidelity are normal and should be embraced. Gingrich not only wrote the preface to this book, he went around D.C. for a decade touting the Toffler’s crackpot schemes. They also said “the Consitution’s time has past.”

  There are a million other reasons to oppose statist Gingrich.

  He has proposed no real cuts in the trillions.

  He hasn’t proposed eliminating any unconstitutional government departments.

  He likes the current unconstitutional monetary system that has resulted in permanent inflation, credit bubbles, and massive dislocations of labor and capital resources. It has also resorted in enormous debt because it is a debt-based system. Gingrich is perfectly fine with the Federal Reserve centrally planning paper currency, interest rates, and banking. He has no problem with the FED’s attempts to centrally plan the economy.

  Gingrich is a nationalist, not a federalist.

  He is a Rockefeller Republican that has a government program for every alleged problem.

  The man is Obama, and Romney is no different.

  Someone can correct me, but don’t recall Christ petitioning the Roman Consulate to force his views down other people’s throats by threat of imprisonment.

  If you have certain beliefs, then live your life that way. Stop trying to force your views down other’s throats. It only spawns resentment. It doesn’t change anyone’s behaviour.

  There is a lot of resentment of Christians because of their methods. There wouldn’t be nearly as much antipathy of Christians if not for the constant calls for laws forcing allegedly Christian values on to others.

  Why don’t you guys try the concept of emulation. If your philosophy works, then others will naturally be inclined to try it. In the mean time, stop resorting to force. The government can’t centrally plan morality any more than it can the economy to good effect.

  Of the remaining candidates only Ron Paul seems to grasp these simple truths.

  Has anyone noticed that these allegedly Christian debate audiences cheer loudest for death?

  Gingrich just uses soundbytes and Pavlovian rhetoric designed to elicit cheers from the Billy Bob voter.

  Gingrich is cleary a statist. He doesn’t understand free markets. He thinks there is a government solution to everything. He isn’t a constitutionalist.

  He thinks spending more money overseas is conservative. He has a Wilsonian foreign policy. He is absolutely horrendous on civil liberties.

  He doesn’t understand federalism. He doesn’t understand economics or the monetary system.

  Besides those things, why not vote for him?

  Ron Paul is the only free market constitutionalists who will work to protect civil liberties.

  Mike Opelka has a difficult time with listening comprehension skillls. He even contradicts himself in a matter of a few paragraphs. He admits that Paul said that he didn’t approve of the operation in “THE MANNER IT WAS DONE.” Hello!

  He has said repeatedly that the U.S. government should have tried to capture OBL alive. That was never the intention of the U.S. government. They wanted him dead because if it would have gone to trial, a lot of embarrassing details would have come out, i.e. Al Qaeda members being CIA assets for many years.

  Does anyone remember that in Libya a few months back that the CIA was using Al Qaeda operatives yet again? What’s going on here.

  If the U.S. government would have taken Paul’s advice they would have brought back Letters of Marque and Reprisal. It would have involved small tactical forces. They would have tried to capture him alive in order to get information out of him. There was never a need for a large scale ground invastion and nation-building.

  This sort of reasoning appears to be too much for war-mongering morongelicals at the Blaze. They just hate all Muslims.

  Here we go with the French nonsense again. Leave it to that crackpot demagogue Gingrich to come up with this.

  It was telling that when Romney was asked to detail the policy distinctions between himself and Gingrich, he hemmed and hawed and finally came up with lunar mining as an important distinction. I nearly laughed so hard I cried.

  Romney is an establishment drone, so there is very little substantive difference between him and Kerry. That much Gingrich gets right. The problem is that you can say that of almost all the candidates with the exception of Dr. Paul.

  You’ll get the same Wilsonian foreign policy, propping up of tyrants, foreign-aid, etc. with all the establishment candidates.

  You’ll get the same unconsitutional monetary system (the FED, planned interest rates, and a debt-based paper currency) with all the establishment candidates.

  You’ll get the same unconsitutional government departments.

  You’ll get the same nationalist system instead of a federalist one where states and local governments make most of the laws.

  You’ll get the same police state and erosion of civil liberties with all the establishment candidates.

  The only thing you’ll change is the surname of the guy occupying the White House.

  Some of you like your statists with an R behind their name evidently.

  I’ll take Dr. Paul. He’s the only one that advocates real free markets, not corporatism. He’s the only one with a sane foreign policy. He’ll take his oath seriously.
