  I remember going to the Mountains with a group of people. The group of people were making fun of me, and it really hurt. I had reached a cross roads in my life. I had the decision to ask god for help or go back to my old ways. I prayed with all of my heart for an hour. I asked him why It was so hard. I asked him why people had to be so cruel to each other. After praying I got up and went back to my makeshift tarp tent. I was hiking back to my car and I realized it was sunday. I prayed to god and thanked him for everything I had. Something very beautiful and incredible came over me. I saw all of the flowers blowing, and I could smell each of them. I saw the moose grazing, the birds flying in the sky, and it was a beautiful song that was worshiping god. I realized creation worships god by doing they were created to do. I felt a very strong feeling of warmth enter me. It almost felt like I Was on fire. I felt complete, peace, happiness and love. I could feel my father in heavens love and it was incredible. I had a thought come to my mind and it said. Tom, I created this for you and I love you. Christians I will never deny my experience. The church of JEsus Christ of Later day saints is true. WE aren’t asking you to believe blindly. We are asking people to search, ponder and pray to find out for themselves. I know that God loves me. I know that JEsus Christ is my savior. I have and will dedicate my life to showing God and Christ I love them. I am christian.

  I want to leave with my testimony, Of who and why I became a “Mormon” I was born into the church but I never really sought to find out its truth because I always took it for gran tit . It was a journey of 20 something years to find its truth. When I was 19 I did some things and I chose to leave the church. These actions eventually led me to being homeless in Salt Lake City in the Winter. I remember sitting in a shed. It was very cold, and it was snowing. I felt very hungry and I thought I was going to die. I prayed to god and asked him to please remove what I was feeling. I got a very strong feeling come to my mind. The feeling told me to repent and come to God, and all of the chaos would stop. I got on my knees and I prayed. I felt an overwhelming sense of love and peace. I felt of our Fathers love. Within an hour I found an old friend I hadn’t seen in years, he gave me a place to stay. I turned my life around, but I was finding it very lonely. I was down and sad.

  Now I am going to address the misconception that somehow our works save us. We keep the commands of Christ because we love him, but we would forever be doomed or damned if it wasn’t for him. There is nothing we could do with our own power. Jesus Christ never ending love and charity is why we are able to enter back into the presence of god. Christ asks us to follow him, and we try to because we love him. Our works can’t take us to heaven, they prove to our savior we love him. Christ is the one who takes us to heaven.

  Now to address the comment about how we believe there are many gods. We do believe there are many gods and we believe that we can become like our father in heaven. However we worship one god. That is our Eternal Father. We pray to one God. We have one Jesus Christ our savior. I have scripture from the bible to support how we can become like our father. We also believe we are spirit children of our Eternal Father.

  The scripture teaching of our potential is Romans 8 16-17

  16 The Spirit itself beareth awitness with our bspirit, that we are the cchildren of God:

  17 And if children, then heirs; aheirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we bsuffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

  Fellow Christians what does it mean to inherit something. Lets say your grandma dies and you inherit all she has. You gain her wealth, her physical possessions and in some societies her status. During the Dark ages you would have a king who died, his son would inherit all the father had including being king. We don’t teach we will replace god. We teach we can become like him through the grace and mercy of Jesus.

  the scripture reference supporting this belief is found in revelations 12 4-9
  4 And his tail drew the athird part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

  5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a arod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

  6 And the awoman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

  7 And there was awar in heaven: bMichael and his cangels fought against the dragon; and the ddragon fought and his angels,

  8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in aheaven.

  9 And the great dragon was acast out, that old serpent, called the bDevil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

  We do believe in this war in heaven, and satan and 1/3 of gods spirit children fell and are tempting us. We worship God, and we consider satan to be the father of all evil and lies.

  #1 A lot of people somehow, and someway think we teach that God has sex with Mary. I will say that is an outright lie. Folks it is not an official church teaching. Maybe someone had their opinion on it, but it is not officially taught. We are taught the spirit came over mary
  #2 Satan is Christ Brother. I have a lot to say on this topic. We believe everyone here on earth are children of God. We also believe Satan was there with us. He was a spirit son of our father in heaven. We believe there were two plans presented, The first one being satan would rule and force us back to the father and he would get the glory, or we would come down to earth and choose to serve god, and our Eternal father would get the glory. Satan didn’t like this and he rebelled. I will post biblical reference to this

  second scripture I want to post is 3rd nephi 11 29-30
  29 For verily, verily I say unto you, he that hath the spirit of acontention is not of me, but is of the bdevil, who is the father of contention, and he stirreth up the hearts of men to contend with anger, one with another.

  30 Behold, this is not my doctrine, to stir up the hearts of men with anger, one against another; but this is my doctrine, that such things ashould be done away.

  This scripture is from Christ teaching the people on this continent that satan is the author of contention. Again fellow Christians why would Satan teach us he is the father of contention and we should do away with him. I am going to address some other common things I have posted here.

  I am a practicing active “mormon”. I have read all of the anti stuff out there, complete with its half truths. I am going to address a few things.

  #1 We aren’t a devil worshiping cult. We are taught in the bible a house divided against itself cannot stand. I am going to post a few scriptures from the book of mormon. The first one is helaman 5:12

  12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the arock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your bfoundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty cstorm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

  So in this scripture we are taught to build our foundation on christ to over come satan. If satan is this head of this church like so many believe, why are being taught how to over come him. Why is satan teaching us to build our lives around christ.
