  The kid is right!
  I know of teachers that try to teach a subject matter that they have no idea of.
  Kids need to learn from a practical approach, the way textbooks are written is confusing.
  I served on a school board in the past and when I tried to enhance the learning experience in science and languages by taking advantage of technology, I was met with resistance.
  When my son was in high school, he asked me to set up an oscilloscope, tuning fork, and microphone for his class.
  As I set up the demonstration for him, other students began to ask me what I was doing.
  I told them what it was and I began to explain frequency, time, amplitude, the light spectrum, etc.
  I then realized the room was full of kids asking questions and they were all late for their next class.
  That is when I realized that the kids need the practical approach so they can see how math, physics, etc. is applied.

  it may have taken over an hour to dispatch a cop but a couple of seconds to dispatch a .38 .
