  • The problem with the arguments of the left is that I didn’t ask anyone else to pay for my health care. They volunteered! So, they have no right to tell me what to eat or anything else about what I can and cannot do. Not only did they volunteer, they forced me to accept their “contributions.” But, that is the way of libs. It’s a never ending cycle of taking away individual liberty.

You get the same type of arguments from the global warming crowd too. It’s not enough for them to change their ways, they want to force everyone else to also. Of course, it seems that these socialists never do anything voluntarily. After all, how many libs do you know, who say they aren’t taxed enough, voluntarily pay more money into the government? None, of course. And they hire attorneys and accountants to lower their tax bills as much as possible. And, when it comes to the Obama administration, they just file fraudulent returns omitting income.

  • Maybe they should change the name to “ABC’s View” or “Only One View” or “The Rude Socialist View.” Not sure what they are going to do now. With the rude Behar leaving and no one to yell at, how are they going to keep the Jerry Springer-ish fan base? Guess they’ll have to go back to comedy central where they can be entertained by F words.

  • I find it rather amusing that Coulter decided to use the same tactics that the socialists use when discussing the indefensible. She goes on a tirade about the left having pushed the government into every aspect of our lives. Then, when the subject is changed to drugs, she flips her lid. Notice that she didn’t say one word as to why legalization of drugs shouldn’t happen. All she did was try to associate libertarians with the dems. She also fails to recognize that 2010 boost the repubs got was from libertarians. The tea party consist of a number of libertarians. That’s why the only issue the tea party was addressing was the economic catastrophe of liberalism. The christian right then decided to grab the movement’s coat-tales.

The problem with Coulter’s argument (or lack there of) is that she agrees with the socialists that the government has all these powers to infringe on individual liberties, it’s just that she doesn’t agree with the way they are doing it.

Libertarians, on the other hand, are consistent. The government doesn’t have the power to do it if it’s not in the Constitution. That’s why I’ve always argued against the government having whatever power it is seeking. It matters not if their so-called regulations are “reasonable.” We all know that “reasonable” soon becomes “unreasonable” and oppressive.

  • A couple of thoughts on this bill. The first is that it should be renamed to “THE CREATE A DUAL BETWEEN LAW ABIDING CITIZENS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT ACT.” Second thought is if this passes, then legal citizens and law enforcement are bound to get killed. After all, never since the American Revolution has the words LIVE FREE OR DIE meant more. The third thought is, when someone mentioned that the Republicans have a bulletproof majority, is to pass a law making a criminal out of anyone who represents any of the people of Missouri to vote for legislation restricting the 2nd Amendment and the people’s rights to bear arms. Oh, and make it a felony to do so with the immediate loss of their status as an elected official. That should take care of the matter. It would stop the Socialists from taking over the State of Missouri.

  • Well, there are still 2 parties. The Socialist Party and the Assistant Socialist Party. Boehner leads that later. The problem is, as long as they want to be liked by the former, there will be no hope. After all, when you look at what has taken place since the 2010 elections is just incomprehensible. Supposedly, the American people made a statement that enough was enough. So, what was the GOP’s solution? Kick and place nice and roll over and play dead. Heck, they just did it again. If they really want to win and right the ship, they have it in their power to start now.

Here’s how to change the tide. First of all they need to pass in the House a budget that actually cuts spending. So far, even their best proposals have been nickel and dime adjustments to the dems. Their budget should cut at least $500 billion in real spending starting immediately. Then, after passing that, they get on to all the media and sell the plan. You don’t sell it by being nice, but with urgency and pointing out the destruction the dems are doing. Then, as part of selling the plan, you stand firm and don’t even hint at negotiating and tell the libs that if they don’t accept it then they have just agreed to a balanced budget. By not raising the debt ceiling, the government has to live off the money coming in. You point out that you’ve presented ideas for bringing the debt under control and that the next move is on the dems. It’ll be interesting to see how they’d do it. But,

  • I couldn’t hear the difference between them. But, if you are concentrating on the “g” then you are not pronouncing it correctly. This really has nothing to do with race, but it does have to do with the fact that there are different dialects and the fact that some people have lisps or some people grew up without perfect hearing and thus don’t hear sounds, but do repeat what they hear and it is good enough for people to understand them. Obviously Sajak didn’t hear what the woman said.

  • The problems the repubs have right now is they have no principles that they think are worth fighting for. If raising taxes is a great idea, let it go up for everyone, then the economy should really boom, right? Langone apparently hasn’t paid attention to the last 4 years. Does he really think that agreeing to raise taxes will take it off the table? We’ve already seen the stimulus be a total failure. Is it off the table because it didn’t work? Of course not! There just wasn’t enough of it! Same for taxes. It won’t work and the dems will claim that there wasn’t enough taken.

I get a boot out of discussions about whether Obamacare can be stopped. Of course it can be. But, there is no one willing to stand up and do it. The repubs think that if the agree with the dems, but just not as much, then they are somehow being responsible. BS! Controlling the House, they have the power to set the agenda. But, fear of being called names by the left media is their biggest concern. They should have learned from Bush. Even though Bush went along with the dems on most everything, it didn’t stop him from being vilified by the dems and the media.

What the repubs failed to understand is that they lost, not because they stood up to Obama, but because they didn’t stand up to him. They rolled over every single time. If you don’t have principles, then it is difficult to fake it.

  • As I’ve always said: It’s not what you say you believe, it’s what you do with it. And, in this case, the guy built a huge boat. Now that is dedication! I wonder if he’ll try to said it around the world or any place else for that matter. I’m not a believer in the bible, but I certainly don’t want to be linked to those who feel compelled to call those who do believe names, idiots, etc.

I guess that’s why I’ve gotten a boot out of those who want to vote for a Christian, or argue about whether Obama is a Christian, Muslim, or whatever. Who cares? He’s destroying the country and his “faith” makes no difference.

  • I’ve been viewing spectacular footage on natural disasters for over 50 years, thanks to my Grandfather’s fascination with nature. To be sure, he’d get a boot out of all the claims of global warming being responsible for this stuff. He called it “nature at it’s finest!” In other words, this is nature as it has always been. It’s just that living in cities and on farms we don’t see it. I’ve got to admit though, the loony left sure knows how to take the joy out of most anything with their political commentary on most anything.

  • The binder comment was made after he pointed out that as Gov. of Mass. he was seeking some high level positions to be filled. They advertized and sought applications from qualified applicants. He noted that all of the applicants were male. So, being the good conservative he is, he didn’t just choose from all the men, he said “this isn’t right” and he directed his people to search for qualified females. They came up with “binders” full of qualified women. And, he hired a number of them. I guess, since libs feel they have to complain about something, they figured the best they could come up with is his reference to “binders.” I supposed he should have said something like 9 million kilobytes worth of computer information on his hard drive. Who knows, I can’t even pretend to know why a lib thinks they way they do. Must be a genetic defect.
