  “Sister Simone said that a minimum wage of $12.50 would be needed to keep people out of the ranks poverty” Minimum wage was never ment to be a living wage. Its a place to start. If your 40 years old and never made more that minimum wage its because you have not tried. I was just layed off this summer from the plant I was working at for 9 years.(plant closed and moved to Mexico) Never lost a paycheck. I did take a cut in pay when I started my new job but adjusted my living to my new pay. I still make more than double minimum wage and sense I’m new there and still at the bottom of the payscale my pay will go up by another $5 dollars over the next 3 years putting me back where I was when I was layed off. I make it because I put an effort into learning the skills needed in manufacturing. If you want to make more than minimum wage then work hard learn job skills and dont go job hopping.

  Well the pollimg is not happening in the sanctuary it is normaly held in another building or another part of the building. Besides if they are atheist and truly dont believe in God then its just a building that means nothing so whats the problem.

  Wikipedia is supposed to be an online encyclopedia that can be edited by virtually anyone. So basically it’s a blog that anybody can contribute to. Anybody who goes to we keep media for real, honest information needs to go have their head examined.

  When I read the headline on the story, it just makes me sad. The reality of it is that Obama did not buy the election. You cannot buy what is not for sale. To see the root of the problem. You have to go back to the speech that Obama made a few years ago. In that speech he said that Americans were lazy and people on the right got all upset because he told the truth. Now the election comes around. And he exploits that fundamental weakness of will, the laziness in America and uses it to get elected. That’s not buying the election. That’s just being a good politician. I do not like Obama. I never have and never will. But when he made that statement, I agreed with him.

  Now here we are. The day after the election and some people on the right are crying that Obama bought the election. Obama saw a fundamental weakness in American society and he exploited it. Even though it was not his intention to call our attention to the fact that Americans are lazy, that is what it did for some of us. I had known for many years that in my area, people were getting lazy. But he pointed out that it was a national problem, not just a local one.

  Obama is not the problem. Government is not the solution. I see Greece in our future. The way things are going now, it will happen. After we go through that the lazy in America will be forced to get off their butts find a job and provide for themselves. It will only happen because no one else will have the money to provide for them.

  They did not die due to incompetence they died due to indifference. Obama just don’t care how many Americans die due to his actions as long as he gets his way.

  Pigpen First I have to ask what the color of you skin has to do with how much your employer pays you. Do you think that because your white you should be payed more? Just asking. If you are so concerned about how Hollywood putting the “poison apple” in their movies, why do you still support them by buying their product? One last thing. Why do you live beyond you means? I support a family of 4 making less than $12 an hour. We own my home (along with the bank that is). Its not much but its ours. We do not have a TV en every room(only 1 in the living room). One of us is always home to send te kids to school and when they get home from school. We help with homework everyday and question whn we are told we dont have any homework. We also read alot im my house. Its much better than the idiot box (TV). Yes we do these things today even in this economy. Most important, we teach our children morals, how to just be good people.

  Mabe you should look into a better job working for a “WHITE MAN” like yourself that will see that you worth more than others because you are a “WHITE MAN”. Are mabe you should just stop blaming others because you don’t know how to spend your money wisely. The way you talk about you employer not being able to pay a “WHITE MAN” a living wage mabe you kids are better of with a public school education.
