It was Adam's sin that put all of us under the penalty of death. Jesus' lamb like sacrifice is the remedy, the propitiatory covering over of what Adam did to the human family.

Picture yourself in this situation. It’s dark, you’re breaking into a house you think is empty. Your heart is beating fast. Then from out of the dark you hear the sound of a pump shotgun.
They didn’t raise their hands because they were busy holding up their pants from the extra-heavy load their shorts just received.

OK, why do people clap at the end of a movie in a theater? It’s not as if the director or actors can hear you.
To show gratitude that the theatre owner brought a particular show to their theatre and did nothing to screw up its production.

@Blinknight I’m not concerned about what people say about me in 50 years. I’m concerned about when I stand before my Maker and give an answer for my obedience to His word.

“An upside-down bucket has been placed beneath the open window with a footprint on it, indicating possible unlawful entry,” a sheriff’s office press release stated.
Even the grammatical tense of the statement “has been placed” indicates the cops placed the bucket there after the fact.
I tend to give police the benefit of the doubt; it’s a tough, dangerous job that I know I couldn’t do. But this sort of thing is happening more and more.
It’s time for the police to police themselves.

Pretty hard to read it in the original Greek, since it was originally written in Hebrew.

I suspect it has something to do with the carbonization of the corpse. It’d make it a wee bit tougher to analyze.

1) Key wrote the poem in 1814 (During the War of 1812), not 1914.
2) One of my favorites is when a young girl was singing it at a Portland Trailblazer game and blanked out on the words. Maurice Cheeks (the head coach at the time) goes out to her and sings it with her and encourages the crowd to join in. Classy move.

Here’s something that’s not been made clear to me. Did Snowden reveal any national secrets, like Fuchs or the Rosenbergs, or just did he just reveal the fact that NSA has been spying on Americans?
Beck read part of his statement yesterday and it revealed that after acquiring this info TPTB could ID someone for extinction via triad or other means ( not exactly what he said but interpreted that way)
What if he has actual info of what was done to someone because of this info? Would that change public opinion if the person was not a 'terrorist' ?

The original Greek, Aramaic and Hebrew speakers who wrote the Scriptures did not have special pronoun forms when addressing God.
In Shakespear’s day (the time of the King James Version), they were a component of formal speech. But not today. One would not address the Queen of England as “Thee” or “Thou.” (Although I do seem to remember T’Pau using the form when addressing Spock).
Dyer is making the pronouns more accurately reflect the original words. He is to be commended.
By the way, one wouldn’t address God as y’all even though He is a trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). He is still one God.

I completely disagree. He’s adapting the English translation to more accurately reflect the Greek, Aramaic and Hebrew meaning. He’s continuing Martin Luther’s work of bringing the scriptures into the vernacular.

Wow, bigotry too!
I don’t consider any education complete without at least a working knowledge of the most impactful book in history.

Ya beat me to it. When I was young and teachable, I tried a grip similar to the one in the picture. Fortunately for me, my instructor hollered “Cease Fire” and I actually listened. Then he showed me what I was doing wrong. I’m pleased to say I learned that lesson.

Note to Oregon law enforcement: I believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, that Jesus Christ is God and paid the penalty for my sin through His death and resurrection. I also believe that He will return one day, collect His followers and bring judgement to all those who reject Him.
I hope that when Sharia becomes law of the land there will be enough evidence to convict me of Christianity.
